I've been thinking of posting this to somewhere, I just didn't know where could it facilitate a healthy discussion, and not get me downvoted to hell and banned. This is not a men's rights issue strictly, but fits the theme of the subreddit more closely. Originally meant to post to r / misandryinmedia, but that sub is practically dead.

So, the other day I was watching Scrubs. If someone isn't familiar with the TV show, it's a pretty good sitcom about the life of a hospital. The thing that made me think was one character in particular - played by Elizabeth Banks. Now, I'm not too familiar with her earlier works as an actress, and I know that judging an actor's personality based on his or her performance sounds stupid, but her character in the show was a genuinely lovely person with admittedly flaws - but she wasn't a hateful creature.

Fast forward to 2019, and Elizabeth Banks is directing a movie about women humiliating men, and displaying how much better they are, and then topping it all off with an attack against men who didn't watch it..

A similar pattern can be seen with Scott Pilgrim actress Brie Larson. Her role calls for her to be bitchy, but in additional footages and interviews you can see that she's a genuinely kind person. And now she's infamously played the diked up, manhating captain marvel, and has expressed similae sentiment in interviews, like the famous 'this movie wasn't written for 40 year old white dudes' debacle.

My question is this - were these Hollywood women always these vicious manhaters? It seems hard to imagine. Or could it perhaps be that they turned into ones with the advent of the social justice rule in Hollywood? Could far left tribalism have this significant of an effect on these otherwise intelligent women?
