Because feminism benefits the elites by controlling men and dividing the working class against itself. While the elites are not feminists they can see the benefits (to themselves) of promoting anti-male hate sold as "on the left". It's only useful to them if it's sold as "on the left" though. This is why feminism (a type of traditional conservatism and a far right movement) is always sold as on the left.

By contrast other right wing and hate movements are not promoted by the elites at home, but only abroad. Funding and promoting Nazis for example (at home) wouldn't help divide the working class.

I think it's mostly for the historic reason that this topic was high-jacked by feminists early and then gendered.

The deeper reason, I think, is gynocentrism. There's nothing to gain from caring about men explicitly, but a lot to be lost by not particularly and explicitly caring about women.

Government decides that only gender neutral abuse charities will be funded by local authorities. Though local authorities must allocate funds based on stats in their area.

VAWG crime considers male victims as victims of VAWG reducing male victims and over-inflating female victims. Local authority begins funding women’s charities again and male victims get to stay in abusive homes or sleep on the streets as usual.

Sounds like Australia will do. The state of Queensland already has a Premier with this sort of attitude. She plans to pull what little funding male domestic violence support gets and give it to the female only support, as well as trying to push through my legislation that gives women more power over male partners and spouses
