In "Starship Troopers" (bear with me here), Robert Heinlein describes morality as survival at a level above the individual, as well as something that must be taught.

Certainly not a perfect definition. But it'll work well enough for me here, because I think a similar point can be made about honor, courage, justice, and loyalty. (I'll leave the rest off for now).

At least as far as my personal theory goes: These aren't traits that anyone is born with. (Most) People are probably born with the capability for them, but certainly not with an idea of what they are nor how to embody them.

Now, TRP would probably argue that women don't have these traits because they don't have to. And I think that that is very true, of a lot of women. As well as a lot of men. Therefore, it would be my contention that if you are consistently meeting women who lack a sense of honor, courage, truth, justice, and loyalty, then you need to surround yourself with a better quality of woman.

I defy anyone to show me any kind of scientific proof that women are incapable of the things listed in this post. I'll eat crow, if you can do it, but that view is truly ridiculous in my opinion.

The partner I most frequently climb with is a woman. If she lacked honor, courage, or loyalty, I'd have died roughly 25 times over the past few years. And my sister has a stronger sense of what it means to sacrifice for family than anyone else I've ever met.

Edit: I was gonna change the first parenthetical to include "bare," like it should have in the first place. But upon reflection, I stand by what I said. I want a bear, damnit.

Tangentially related, but I can't help but feel that the followers of TRP are the architects of their own misery. By associating only with women you want to bang, and by making physical attractiveness the only criterion for wanting to bang a woman, they're a) not going to meet women with the qualities they've described, and b) aren't going to recognize the qualities they've described in the women they want to bang, because all they're interested in is her tits. They're biasing their own sample of "women".

Here's a novel idea: stop associating with women who are unfunny, selfish, dishonorable, uninteresting and without skills and money. I feel like making character the entry-level dealbreaker rather than "does she make my dick hard?" might improve the quality of women you're meeting... and then when/if you do meet one who also makes your dick hard, you're set. Success!

Below, the conversation veers off into "women are biological objects, not agents, and must be treated that way because it's not going to change in our lifetime."

So my reaction, in a word: misogyny. Another great example of how empirical claims facing no empirical scrutiny in TheRedPill opens the door for a lot of negative discrimination against a group.

Two thoughts.

First, I think this is an example of selection bias. /u/Whisper's comments resonnate with me more than others.

Second, and much more importantly, we've created both spoiled men, and spoiled women. The way a confessor of mine termed it, we live in a world where people can't even spell the word sin anymore.

The implicit argument here, that we've precipitously lowered standards of behaviour to the point where we'll look the other way, and adopt "hug-a-thug" mentalities is something I generally agree with.

So, again, I find myself understanding, and even agreeing with the sentiment, if not the end expression.
