like that thread a few days ago where the girl comes to reddit about how she had an argument with her boyfriend and he grabbed her by the wrist and wouldn't let her go, and then the boyfriend shows up and it turns out the 'argument' was her telling him how terrible the engagement ring he bought her was and how she was embarrassed to show it to her friends.

Let's run this piece of work through the dehamsterization machine:

He talked me into moving into a big place, where I pay $500 more then I was.

I couldn't wait to move into a better place. I had to pay more, but we'll be marrrrieeed soon so call it an investment.

I lost my job, switched to another job paying $2 less per hour and so money is tight

I got shitcanned so I took an easier job and didn't bother looking for other work because we'll be marrrieeed soon.

He makes 125k+ a year.

Just yesterday he told me I should move out to "save the relationship" and fix my finances. We just got settled into the new condo, nice private neighborhood, walk in closet, quiet and content.. I haven't even fully unpacked. Now I'm being booted out and room rental options are slim at best.

I have no fiscal discipline whatsoever but it doesn't matter because we'll be marrrieeeed soon. Looks like my mask slipped earlier than it should have and he's giving me the boot.

I don't know how to feel.

Tell me how to feel. Ideally where I'm the victim and he needs to give me free shit.

Our arguments weren't even bad I thought, but he says after 3 weeks he's "not ready to move in" and is taking the 2700 sq/ft house to himself.

Our arguments were started by me and I am such a bitch to be around that 2700 sq/ft is not enough room to divide me from sane people.

I moved because I was looking for security and I'm already thrown under the bus. I have no savings for a security deposit and we share a car.

I wanted to get marrieeed so didn't care about finances at all. He makes 125k/year. Did I mention that?

He's already got new roommates lined up.

Guyz, he's SUPER-SERIOUS! HELP!

Edit: his biggest reason is that he feels we moved too fast and that he can't live with a girl.

He thought I was a pretty cool person and wanted to try it out. Turns out that not only am I not a cool person, my finances are shit and my living habits I failed to mention weren't so hot either.

FROM RESPONSES He wants me to go to make it easier on me. But if we just got another flatmate, then it would resolve all my financial woes. Despite pushing me to do this, being aware of my money situation, and only paying $300isj more then me, he is saying its not fair to him.

Despite the fact that he's already paying for more than half, I can't keep up with my side of the bills and want another man around to subsidize my existence.

EDIT:

She's NOT on the lease (+1 for him), BUT she has "tenant rights" which means she can be a complete ass but he can't legally kick her out of his own place without notice. Boys, never let her move in without being FULLY AWARE of all legal ramifications if her bitch-mask slips.

I didn't get that part either. Who cares how much of your paycheck you spend? I'm pretty fucking sure the rent is a dollar amount not "50% of your pay check" just like water and electricity comes in fix amounts. And loans, and groceries, and etc. What's she gonna tell the repo men? "You can't take my stuff, I paid 60% of may paycheck to it, that's more than the average person so that means I paid it off"?

As much as I'd love to join the party here, the dude DID ask her to move in. That's on him. He should know better. You invite someone to live at your place, you're taking responsibility. If we want to talk about being men and being the captain, that means you have to take responsibility for your fuck-ups.

If he can see that he doesn't want the relationship anymore, fine. But even people who don't like their pets don't throw them out in the street, they find a home for it first. He needs to help her get set up somewhere (let her stay until she can save some money), and then he can break it off.

You guys know I'm a huge asshole, but even I don't ask people to come live at my house, and then 3 weeks later tell them to fuck off.

No, that offer was conditional. It's not ok for the girl to do a 180 and turn into a bitch. You kick that fucking bitch out if she does that.

Doesn't have money? No, she has money, she can clearly spare $300 less than half of the cost of a 2700 sqft home. And she said that was 80% of her income. Fuck this bullshit, we have to understand how the market works. Do you understand how much 2700 square feet is? Look at these 2700 square foot homes.

This guy has a 2700 square foot home. I know for a fact that 4-5 roommates can share 2700 square feet.

Lets be conservative and estimate that all the house costs add up to $2000. That means she is paying $700. So if she would move into a room in a similar house that is split between roommates, she would be able to pay $500 per month. That means her income is around $900-$1000. You can live off that income. This guy doesn't owe her shit. If she gets off her high horse, she can find a temporary room for $550 asap.

What evidence is there that she did a 180 and turned into a bitch? He could want her out for a ton of reasons. It's more likely that he's 20 years old and didn't realize what living with someone really entailed.

And why are you giving me numbers? It's not about the fucking money. It's about not making people suffer for decisions YOU made. I didn't say he has to marry her, I said he has to get her situated.

Then he can move on with his life. Even if has to give her a few grand to walk, it's a small price to pay considering he put her in that situation by asking her to move in.
