This is spot on and I wouldn't have really thought so if I hadn't experienced it first hand; just last night I make plans with a girl I've been seeing for about six weeks. She wants Chinese from the place by me, and I tell her I've already had dinner, but I tell her I'd pick it up for her anyway. I text her the total, and she says:
"Fuck. I have to go get cash out. I should have called to give a CC."
So I reply:
"You can still call it in; the order is under my name and phone number."
So, she begrudgingly goes to the ATM and gets cash out, pays me back but is clearly pissed I didn't pay for her dinner and even makes a nasty comment later in the evening ("Brought dinner.. You BROUGHT me dinner, not bought it"). The entitlement is fucking insane.

When I said, “what are you doing?” she replied “it’s good wine!” “That’s why I’m not going to let it go to waste,” I said as I pried it out of her cold stiff hand. The next day, I made marinara sauce out of it.
Hilarious

I liked the article, it exemplifies the sense of entitlement many women have which is a red pill truth in and of itself. I know it may not be positive or "self help" or productive but it's relevant, I don't get why the article is getting such a bad rep from commenters. If you need happiness, go get drunk and have a party, TRP isn't always a positive place, truth can be pretty damn negative sometimes. There's a reason so many people are blue pill, it's easier, it feels nicer in some ways (eg: girls will really love me unconditionally) and sucks in other ways (eg: girls never notice me), it may not lead to great success but it won't bring the pain of reality, it will bring about a medicated, incubated type of existence which is what most people live in.
TRP is for "extremists", people who would rather be their best than settle for what they are, which is painful, hard and full of bullshit like this article. TRP is not for everyone, don't complain about the truths you don't like or question their relevance, marriage game isn't relevant to me but doesn't mean it doesn't have a place on TRP.
[–]floor-pi 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I think that this, and the article, is exactly what's wrong with TRP, the desire to wallow in this 'painful, hard' truth. Whereas guys who grow up alpha, or even beta sometimes, will just absolutely not abide by someone who takes advantage of them. They don't need to talk about it, they don't need to write articles about it, they just know what's right and wrong for them, and rearrange their life so that things work in their favour. I've never had to put up with girls being cheapskates. They've tried! But they didn't try twice. And i'm not exactly 'alpha'.
The article offers no solutions, it's just a childish rant with no base which leaves an impression of helplessness. There's no revelation of truth in it, there's no improvements to be gleaned from it, it's just a woe-is-me, baseless, rant. And it certainly doesn't help someone to be their best, as you've suggested.
And nobody is 'complaining about the truths', we're saying that even 10 year olds understand the concept of fairness and have been implementing a framework of fairness their whole lives, so it's pathetic to see a rant from an adult saying "wah wah, women aren't fair and there's nothing we can do it's just the way they are". If fairness is important to you, do not accept people into your life who aren't fair, it's as simple as that. Any moaning beyond that just becomes pathetic and childish.

don't question the relevance of the truth
That doesn't make sense, because the whole meaning TRP is to question things.

Question the lie that has been fed to us our whole lives, but you're questioning whether the truth is valuable.
If you don't see the inherent value in truth, I don't even know how to help you.

Recognizing something for what it is, that's one thing... this goes further than it needs to.
That's pretty much returnofkings.com's M.O.

I'm not really a fan of the RoK writing style. To me it reads as forced machismo to the point where I question how much of it is overcompensation; kind of like the young inexperienced guy hanging out with his older brother's friends trying to fit in.
[–]floor-pi 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link
This is pathetic.
A minority of girls that i've encountered are cheapskates on the level that he's talking about, and they've been quickly filtered out of my life. He, however, seems to be keeping them around "she asked for the 3 dollars i owed her from dinner, told me she wanted cash only. Three days later she was still asking!"...no wonder he has enough experiences to fill an article if he's putting up with it.
This isn't just a female problem anyway; guys are also cheapskates, or in other words, some people are assholes when it comes to money. Just filter them and move on.

"This isn't just a female problem anyway; guys are also cheapskates, or in other words, some people are assholes when it comes to money. Just filter them and move on."
Why would a man care about men being cheapskates if women are the only ones he's trying to date?
[–]SpaceMoonstar2 points 12 years ago [recovered] (15 children) | Copy Link
He shouldn't. But it renders the article completely pointless. It's nothing but an unproductive rant. Learn nothing from it.

I'd be happy if returnofkings wasn't allowed here. I don't believe in censorship, but I do believe that we can form a community agreement that they suck, much like how most of reddit avoids posting Gawker Media (Gizmodo) stuff.
Edit: 8/17/2013 23:17
Hi Roosh. http://i.imgur.com/eCTY1iP.png Congratulations on your blog and followers. I much prefer your other site: http://www.rooshv.com/. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.
I stand by what I said. I don't like RoK. It reads like a men's version of Cosmo or Gawker.
Here's a few examples:
P.S. Thank you for starting up drama and calling me out in the comments on a separate article. I'm sure RoK readers love the drama and controversy. Suggested reading for anyone that is a follower of Roosh or any online PUA, not to be critical, but to be aware.
Edit 2:
I just realized that after I called for your RoK blog to be excluded, then in reaction you (indirectly) called for me to be excluded. Interesting. Based off of one comment as well.
Note: This comment had upvotes prior to Roosh linking to it. Brigaded.
[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
The community already decided that they don't suck, that's why this article (and others from there) received more upvotes than downvotes. As long as this is the case I will continue to post from that site.
Maybe you should go back to womenspace if you like to prohibit things.

Nice try returnofkings employee.
Seriously though, my comment was 2 lines long and you couldn't even read it fully. I said I don't believe in censorship. I believe crap will automatically float to the bottom of the barrel in the free market, but the community should be informed when stuff is misguided because we have too many new subscribers here.
[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I have no affiliation whatsoever with ROK. A girl telling the community when stuff is 'misguided'? That site ist even in the fucking sidebar, for god's sake.

You can disagree with me. That is fine. I'm by far not the only one with this sentiment though.

Kind of like antradienis
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'd add dailymail to that.
RoK just seems to be going the mainstream blog route with tons of stock photos and "safe" topics which they can write endlessly about.

Return of Kings is rather weak compared to other Game websites, but precisely because it is similar to Cosmo or Gawker, it has the potential to introduce the red pill to a much wider audience of men. Already, it is the number one Game website in Alexa rankings. We shouldn't censor what is becoming the flagship Game website.

It's not just women. It's human nature. Google "Thomas Hobbes leviathan."
I am not a mod. And I am not suggesting censorship. I am suggesting that people recognize shit for what it is. I know I slip up form time to time and post stupid crap, everyone slips since we aren't perfect. But from what I've seen about RoK it recently has been mostly crap with very little good content.
[–]veggie_girl -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
I do stand by what I said about women and centralization of power.
I totally agree with you. Add in beta males and its complete.
On this matter though, I was not the first, nor the last, to say that RoK has turned to shit. Several people already had put comments in this thread before me saying the same thing. I'm guilty of re-parroting their words because I agreed with them.
Roosh even went as far to personally call out my comment, not the comments of the other men in here who were criticizing him before me, because I'm a woman. Keep in mind this was right after he openly critcized theredpill as a subreddit, so I'm sure it was to further his agenda. If I were him, I would only want men reading my monetized rooshv.com or returnofkings.com , I wouldn't want men reading free information on reddit that I didn't get a paycheck for the pageviews of. I would say whatever I had to to get men away from reddit and into my own pockets. Which is exactly what I think this linkbait article was: http://redd.it/1kjx55
IMO everyone has a price, and Roosh just exposed his. Although some would argue he did so months ago when the bad content started. I think it's brilliant what he is doing and I've gained further respect for him as a businessman, but lost (some) respect for him as a source of good information.
[–]SpaceMoonstar0 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
Same. When I first got acquainted with TRP, I thought Return of Kings was great. But the more I read, the more I realized it's full with distorted thinking and Cracked-esque articles.
[–]floor-pi 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Me and every guy i know have been far more affected by cheapskate guys than girls. You can't get through life without it happening, cheapskate roommates, cheapskate classmates, cheapskate bosses, etc etc. Cheapskate girls have been more of an annoyance than a real problem, whereas cheapskate guys were a problem.
That doesn't mean you wanna date em, but my point is that it's not a female-only phenomenon.
[–][deleted] 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
[–]floor-pi -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Obviously if you're sticking to girls in a certain age-range there might be a higher prevalence of cheapskates. It's not that cheapskate 21 year olds don't exist in my city, there are plenty! But if it's an issue for you, as it seems to be for the article writer, just don't date em. Date 25 year olds, or date 21 year olds who started a job instead of going to college, or date nice 21 year olds who did go to college, or etc etc
[–]SpaceMoonstar1 points 12 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link
I was about to post the same exact thing.
Depends on how well you filter. I have never dealt with any cheapskate girls. They always paid their own share. Food, tickets, or what have you. Sometimes I treated them, of course, but sometimes they treated me. Equal share.
I wouldn't put up with any of those things in that article.
[–]floor-pi -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Exactly. And it's not exactly a hard thing to filter for, you can figure it out very very quickly. The article is ridiculous.
[–]Bearspud 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Most of the women I've dated have spent more money on me than I have on them, but I've never dated someone longer than year, so maybe it changes over time. Still, this article doesn't resonate as true to my personal experience at all. If you are being used for money, that's more your fault than womankinds fault.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Young, attractive women don't spend money on guys. Take that for what you will.
[–]Bearspud 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lol, bullshit. They don't spend money on you, because they know they can milk you, and don't really care if you leave them.
[–]1_Veritas2 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I take it for the truth, because that what it is.
[–]p3ndulum 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This has not been my experience with girls at all.
I'm pretty sure the girls I've dated have spent more money on me than I have on them. One would even give me her debit card before getting to the cashier just so it didn't look like she was the one paying.
Honestly, I have no idea why women sleep with me.
[–]clockworkgirl21 -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I know I've spent far more on my boyfriend than he has on me.
[–]sulliedfemme 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Second string fuck buddy? I don't have any of those, but if I did, I don't think I would rant on the internet because they didn't cook me meals or want to split tabs....
[–]clockworkgirl21 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My relationship is actually the opposite. My boyfriend eats my food day in and day out, but doesn't like paying for my meals.

The only redpill truth in that article was the picture in the article so save your time and take a look at this for a laugh...
