Nothing Personal - Enduring repeated failure

Hey guys, just to expand. I wanted to share this with TRP because I feel like this subreddit will get the most from it. Many people here seem willing to put information into practice, unlike other places where someone may say "that's neat" and then move on to the next article. I think we can all bring out the best in one another as men by constantly exposing one another to the experiences which have helped us get where we are, or where we want to go.

When I realized that rejection wasn't personal and didn't really hurt, my life became an adventure. It's safe to say my life is profoundly different now than it would have been had I never learned this. Instead of working internationally and enjoying a very interesting life, I'm pretty sure I would have taken the safe route of getting married, having kids, and having my feet nailed to the very boring floor of domestic life. So hopefully this resonates, if even only for one person, because then I've done my job.

Solid message. Keep learning , improvising and reapplying to improve your chances. Fear of rejection is the entry barrier that keeps AFC's out of the game. Make rejection your friend. Once you're unfazed by rejection, you're free.

I like the idea of the post but am struggling with how rejection isn't personal. If a woman rejects you or you don't get the promotion that you were after, they are both rejecting you over someone else because you're not ready/good enough/useful enough. No?

Great article! It made me realize (moreso confront) my fears of chasing certain personal endeavors because of rejection. I know I will have to get hit hard by rejection at least once so I can get over it.
