I have a friend. He is insanely confident in stuff he does. He's heavily narcissistic. When I ask him how or why he's so confident, he says it's because he trusts himself with the world. Says self respect and confidence go hand in hand and he trusts himself to handle anything.
Something seems off, but he just oozes confidence. I've seen him perform in one year what most take 4-5 to master. In one year of karate he was besting hardened black belts. I don't understand how.
Same with how talented he is an strategizing in general.
What he says and does counter everything I believe in and have believed in. How is this possible?
You can't just be confident without a base, can you?
I want someone to play devil's advocate.
