So I'm kind of a free agent among my friends. But everyone wants to claim me into "their group". Friend circles actually get jealous when I hang out with certain people.

Sometimes they shit talk eachother. I normally just let it go. But it strikes a nerve when they shit talk one of my (covert) FWBs. This girl has a lot of problems, but is smarter/funnier/more fun then most of my friends. Unfortunately she's kind of a shut-in, and doesn't get around my other friends much. But, she adores them and thinks they adore her. But people take shots at her behind her back.

As of late I've set a boundary against this and call people out. On one hand, I'm worried I'm white knighting for my fwb. On the other hand, I expect better from my best friends and don't want to see them continue this toxic attitude.

Just to be thorough, my friends shit talk plenty of my other friends, but I feel like my FWB doesn't have anyone else to back her up.
