I'm in my late thirties. I got my soul crushed by "the one", been in monk mode/isolation for six months. Worked out hard, started studying social skills, body language, style. Now I'm in the best shape I've ever been in my life, and better looking. I constantly get told I look a decade younger than my actual age.

I found TRP about a month ago, and I feel like I found it at the perfect time for me. I want to say, I'm nearly 40 with bad social skills and not a huge amount of experience with women. I have no illusions of turning into some magical Alpha and banging 20 year olds. My reason for being here is just to man up, get in control of my shit, and not be treated like crap by women any more.

The following is list of achievements and things I've learned in the month I've been reading TRP.

  • Got in control of my mother

My mother was dominant in my life, even in my thirties. She called many times a week, sometimes multiple times a day. She interfered in my relationships. Treated me like a child. I started ignoring her calls. After two weeks, I answered. She started talking to me like a twelve year old. I told her if she continued, I'd hang up. She did, I hung up. She sent me an angry text which I ignored. She called me back in an hour an apologized. Now she calls only once a week.

  • Got super angry at a girl I had a crush on for trying to make me a BB

I know its not her fault, I failed all her shit tests miserably, but when she told me about her alphas, and then told me about her betas, and then asked me to buy her breakfast, it was too much. I bought her breakfast, but I treated her like shit. Said awful stuff to her. Never seen her again.

  • Traded a low value friend for a higher value friend

Was tired of a friend, a younger natural alpha, who talked bullshit all the time and was leeching off my value. I blew up our friendship in kind of a clumsy, beta way, but I ended up taking a much higher value friend from his social group with me.

  • Made an enemy

So I've heard that the low value friend I blew off wants to beat me up, but that he's scared to fight me. Being physically intimidating is new to me but feels fucking great. I've been trying to please everyone for so long, its been quite a while since I've had an enemy.

  • Had three girls over to party

Sure, none of them were qualified, but it was really the first time, maybe ever, that I've hung with just me and a bunch of girls. I did well, I entertained them, didn't do anything awkward or clumsy, I considered it a success.

  • Started recognizing and passing shit tests

Man, this is a big one. I can't believe I've gotten through my life without knowing this. They are literally everywhere. I see them in tv shows and movies now, I see myself in my memory totally failing them over and over and over.

  • Got a date

Have a date next weekend. Gonna try to plate her. Haven't tried to establish a non exclusive relationship since I was a teenager when it failed miserably and I wrongly concluded that it must be the wrong way to deal with women.

I feel like I've come a long way in a pretty short period of time. The theory and strategies I've learned here are solid, and so far they've been very effective as I've tried to apply them in my life. Thanks guys, and as always I appreciate any support or constructive feedback!
