A new subreddit called RP MOTIVATION would be AWESOME!!!

Posts about people's productive days and overall achievements ( not involving getting girls, i mean Alpha shit ) would modivate me so much and the comments would be supportive and good advice giving.

How do we make this happen?

Eh, I did the accountability partner thing for two months in order to do some self discovery/personal research for my habit forming piece. I actually used my employees as my sample.

Didn't do shit unless there's real tangible punishment or reward involved in failure. Messaging a friend means little, however a competition (whoever is most accountable gets a hundred bucks from the loser) may help you.

The fact is, you have to be self moderating, and punishment is necessary until you've built a strong internal locus of control. I fear for many doing things this way leads to less actual self control as you're simply outsourcing your agency to another, in often fabricated and intangible ways.

This means when push comes to shove and you have no babysitter, you still haven't learned to be self determined.

As a disclaimer I do not conflate this with utilizing external help for something you're already motivated to do, (delegation, cooperation, a lifting buddy, a hobby bro, etc).

Still, an interesting idea. Though I'd recommend habit forming and replacement instead.

I recommend ace productivity by Timothy Moser, good podcast with a bite sized assignment plan that will definitely get the ball rolling smoothly if you have the self control to do even a five minute assignment per day.

I like that this could be a good motivation for you... and this is of course just my opinion;

But it seems like this is a way to seek validation for a job well done.

Life isn't easy. It's tough. It seems like you just want a pat on the back for doing what a man has to do.

Your accomplishments should be your own reward.

The P90X sub has something like this every once in a while. You'll see someone create a group like "June2016" and 50 people will join and get through day one together. And then day 25, no one is there, not even the person that created it.

It's a good concept when there's 100% dedication
