"That guy" is Owen of RSD, aka Tylder Durden from the book "The Game".

Without sounding like a dick, the dude is a master, and easily has his 10,000+ hours in PUA.

Basically, dude knows what he is doing - also what may work for him may not work for you.

Given how head-over-heels that girl seems, it's hard to argue he was doing anything wrong. Look at his body language instead of his words.

1: The guy was being successful and you think your responses are better?

2: What you say doesn't matter, it's how you say it.

Owen is portraying a fun, comfortable, confident, playful vibe. The girl notices his warmth, buys into his frame and feels comfortable engaging him on that level.

Your responses all come across as very try-hard and faux-alpha. Mainly due to the fact that you have to think about "the right thing to say" as opposed to having a frame and allowing your responses to flow naturally.

You're over analyzing. Improve your frame and enjoy your interactions.

We didn't see what happened immediately before, but she wasn't saying "I love you" in a legit serious dramatic way. She was joking around. He's just buying in to the joke. If he pointedly refused to say it back, he'd risk making it awkward or looking like he took her seriously.

In general (all social situations, not just pickup), matching someone's tone, mood, and energy builds rapport.

Just stop watching PUA videos, you're already cultivating the wrong mindsets.

I would probably steer away from saying the "L" word.

It's not a guy's "job" and talking to girls is not work. This mindset will drain you.

I would have said "Yeah i know. My mom tells me that every day"

Conceited and literally childish.
