So my girl tossed me a simple shit test last night saying some random celeb in a commercial got her a little wet. Asked her if she was that thirsty and she responded "thirsty for you." Whatever, feel free to comment better responses.

Either way I didn't enjoy texting as much after that blatant shit test. Even though I don't respond sometimes for 30 minutes or an hour, I feel that ignoring her or saying I'm just going to sleep would come across as butthurt instead of punishing her. Ended up telling her night anyway after one or two more texts.

Don't tell me just to text for logistics. I choose not to in an ltr and it's irrelevant to my current question.

My question here is twofold I guess:

1) What differentiates withdrawing attention/resources in response to an action (not necessarily just a shittest, possibly something worse) by a girl and looking like a weak man in her eyes by reacting to her shit at all; how can you punish without seeming reactionary?

(This is assuming you aren't immediately withdrawing attention or doing anything rash since I know that generally comes across as butthurt)

2) Are shittests like this even worth "punishing" or are they just to be expected? Honestly feel less like talking after remarks like this regardless of the lack or need for punishing so might not matter.
