I am a female who has been married for 9 years. I have largely been a doormat to a man who, while not all bad, has not treated me very well. To make a long story short, I have been a passive people pleaser for most of my life. I think that growing up in a broken home with no father gave me an excessive need to try to earn affection. I realized these problems years ago and I have been working on them. I recently discovered redpill and even though these threads are directed towards men, I have been applying some of the principles (lifting, putting myself first, knowing my worth, it is ok to be selfish) to my own life and finding success. I have no idea what this means in regards to my marriage and the male-female dynamic and at this point I don't really care anyway. Is this a common occurrence for females?
