I've definitely learned to keep my cool in conversations since coming to TRP. One thing, however, seems to get under my skin to no end.

How do you handle someone who interrupts your response to something.

Usually it's them being upset that you don't agree with them, so they interrupt on top of condescending tones from the position that you aren't answering.

Not sure if I explained it perfectly, but I'm sure you know the type I'm referring to.

In my personal life, I try to say things like "It doesn't seem like you want to hear my explanation, you just want to interrupt and talk at me". If that doesn't work I am trying to get better at just ending the conversation and walking away. Useless getting pulled into their frame essentially is how I view it.

In professional life, it's a different can of worms though.

I'm in the IT field, and we have a female Field Tech who is well known for it, but it's still my job to help her and resolve her issues.

Any suggestion on either front would be appreciated.
