Between school (AP classes), my clubs (robotics, hackathon club, science bowl), my research internship, and my other hobbies (writing, lifting 3 times a week, photography), I have to give up one of two things: cross country or my band.

Cross country has a lot of kids from my school, meaning more opportunities for meeting people. I'm also good at it, which gives me a chance of college recruitment. The two major cons is that cross country makes lifting and gains harder, and since lots of people do cross country, it isn't seen as anything interesting or unique.

I have a band outside school. It definitely is seen as more interesting and unique than cross country to the kids who know I'm in a band. Key word is know, though: most people don't know I'm in a band, and I play more alt rock and stuff kids my age don't listen to. I go get gigs sometimes, so I'm making money from it.

I only have time for one of these now. Which one is better?
