Ratings are subjective, so what is an 8 to me may not be an 8 to you. Likewise, a man who is an 8 to some women may be a 6 or worse to other women. I've had some banging hot women, 8/9 to me, ask me why I'm dating them, and other women who are 5/6/7 to me give me nothing but shit tests the entire first couple of dates. Had 3s and 4s talk mad shit because they think they are stupid hot because they can get dick on Tinder.

So it's not anywhere near an objective measurement, and any attempt to do so is going to be met with confusion. So take the stories with a grain of salt, but don't discount the wisdom and experience in them.

When posts are made about women, they typically are the women they are having the most trouble with. 8s and above are the hardest and have the most subtle shit tests.

For example, a person may talk to 40 women this month. Only a few will be 8+. Those select few are the women he will WANT TO PULL, so he's more likely going to create a post asking for advice. It's unlikely a post will be created for a 3/10 simply because they aren't that important to him. He'll simply move on as it's not worth the hassle.

I mostly see the majority of women as 6’s. Meaning they’re attractive enough to hang out with and fuck but not much more.

Oneitis a lot of the time, raises their perceived rating of the girl. Lack of abundance raises it again. And a bit of lack of real 9s/10s in the world (looking at you USA) means it's really hard to determine what a 9/10 is IRL.

Yes OP, you have correctly observed that ratings on this site are a fucking joke. You're not being a dick for pointing it out but many people won't appreciate it. The most recent one that stands out to me is a guy who was a virgin at 24 but claimed he was an 8.

Internet people usually inflate their ratings. Take the number you see and subtract 1.5, maybe 2

Go on rate me subs and you’ll see. Thirsty dudes here think any girl with a low BMI is an 8

I really wish people take the ratings out of their posts because it comes across as bragging (I got a hb 9 last night).

Personally I just ignore them because I'm sure that any white chick that's skinny is considered an hb8 on here. So don't focus on it too hard.

Also I don't think I ever seen an endorsed contributor bring up the hb stuff because really it doesn't matter for the context of the post.

I mean, just being not fat in the United States / West makes you statistically a 7. If 1/2 of TRP actually takes their own advice of staying in shape, a lot of guys being 7/8 seems statistically likely.

For me, to figure out my number, I've polled basically every women I know to get an average rating of me, and the same for all the guys I know. Then I've compared their looks to mine based on universal / semi-objective standards of attractiveness to see if there is consistency / pattern between the ratings women are giving. For example, if a woman rates me a 7, and my friend a 5, then I study his features to see if he would traditionally be considered less attractive than my features to see if her rating is biased or within average expected deviation. If there is consistency, then I throw the rating into an average for each person and arrive at a final number for them.

Having done this for years, I will say, when I was in high school, I was in peak physical shape and I have a very symmetrical, chiseled face with golden ratio features, so I was a solid 9. After high school, I slowly got fat due to poor eating habits, getting down to about a 5 by the time I reached 30. I moved to another country and became very physically active, and got up to about an 8 (no more 9 due to my hairline receding some). After this, I moved to a cold country where outdoor activity was difficult and with heavy, creamy food, gained 10 kilos and lost muscle definition going down to about a 6. I then moved back to the second country and I'm on a long-term diet with some mild cardio and lost 5 kilos, leaving me at (you guessed it) a 7. Right now, I'm just on the borderline, so I would say: "barely a 7", but I expect to be a solid 8 in the next few months when I reach my target weight and physical appearance.

As for current LTR, I rate her a 7. Why? She has a 5.5 face and a 8.5 body, which puts her at a 7. Her face is symmetrical, and her features are arraigned with the right spacing though slightly on the strong side (dark eyes, dark hair) but pretty if you like dark. Her eyebrows go up in a really cute / sexy way when she's thinking about causing some minor trouble and side profile is really soft and pretty. On the downside, her chin is slightly too aggressive and her lips slightly too small, though if she puts on lipstick you can't tell. Her worst feature is her nose, which she injured as a child and the only feature that is not symmetrical. If she fixes it (she plans to) her face score will go up to 7.5. (Which, if you average both scores, makes for an 8.) On the body side, she has a perfect hips / waist ratio, with a thigh gap. Her BMI is 20 and she has a firm, round ass and a flat, fit stomach. She's a large A cup but I'm not a boob person so don't really care.

What is the point of all this? At least for me, I arrive at my rating scientifically and through careful thought. I don't know where other people are getting them, but just because everyone's got similar numbers doesn't mean they are wrong.

If you actually do what you're supposed to do, being a 7 isn't too difficult.

Don't be fat, be athletic and lifting weights. (Makes you better than 70% of the male population).
Groom yourself well and have excellent hygiene.
Do everything in 1 and 2 plus don't dress like a slob. (Makes you better than 80% of the males.)

To get higher than a 7 you probably need to be blessed with good genes, tall, good-looking etc. I don't think of 8's as being 1/1000. More like top 10%. 9's are probably 1/100 (top 1%).

If you're not a fat slob and you're in top physical shape you're "visible" to women, which differentiates you from the pack. The rest is all bonus.

Edit: The woman rating stuff is all bullshit and subjective IMHO. If a guy says he has an 8 or 9 that just means he thinks his girl is hot. There's no real reason he should care if anybody else thinks his girl is hot or not.

Edit 2: The unfuckable fat slobs and people who think they have an average or ugly gf are probably embarrassed to post. It's the same thing with people lifting weights on youtube. [On youtube everyone is deadlifting 500 lbs, but you rarely see that in person at the gym. The guy with the 150 lb deadlift is not going to upload his video to youtube.]

Incidently, today I saw parts of an interview with a fat cow by the name of rebel wilson saying she is a 6 in LA but a 10 in Atlanta. Well, she would have a hard time being a 6 even if you put her in a ranch with no other humans around, but that is what delusion does to someone. As others have said, just substract 2.
