What you listed is somewhat valuable.

But, true value is when you have something that people want from you.

For example, you work at an exclusive club (or better yet, own a club) and you’re able to get people in or make it so they don’t have to wait in line.

Another example would be that you work at a large corporation as a hiring manager, or better yet own your own business, and you’re able to hire people.

Another example would be that you have a large group of women that you’re around on a regular basis... men are now going to be drawn to you and offer you things to be able to be brought around the women you know.

You're high value to you. If we ever met, you would have no idea what I nor anybody else would find valuable/desirable/interesting, so those attributes you listed would be worthless and ineffectual as you alluded to.

To answer your question, all you have to do is ask. To make great conversation, just listen and talk about stuff the other person is interested in.

Asking how someone spends their time is a good start. Then if you have something you can add to their answer or something you can comment on or relate to, you can say that and keep it going from there.

Listening is the key part in this. If you're actively listening, people will tell you exactly what they care about and all you have to do is find a way to relate to that thing. If you can do something they're interested in, you can add value.

Like, your job isn't paying you bc they like you, it's bc you're doing something they value at <whatever your pay rate is>. Everybody has a price

You havent quite figured out what "value" is but that makes sense with your young age.

You'll know that you are "high value" when people pay you for your time

I think the two most important in this case are being funny and gaining shared experiences with people

Being funny and fun to be around will draw people to you without you even trying, AS LONG AS you are doing it because you genuinely like making people laugh, NOT because you are doing it to seek validation because they will be able to tell and you will come off as a try hard trying to fit in.

And once you draw people in, having shared experiences with those people builds a connection. Examples would be going down a steep ass ski run with the homies, going to a bar and beating the shit out of the guy that started fucking with you for no reason.
