Are you in school or you are studying on your own?

In all cases as you are "technical" and are more people-oriented any role in the Sales IT department can be good:

- Enterprise Account Executive: a commercial to put it bluntly, no technical things here. You try to make the clients sign the deals. Say new DB deals with Oracle DB on their cloud. You can make very nice money (way above the base 6 figures) if you are good. From a couple of friends, it's around 75% fixed salary 100% variable (so 175k in a big tech company if you reach 100% of your sale target). You have the support of the Pre Sales Engineer to help you close the deal.

- Pre Sales Engineer: Usually technical, with people/management part. You have a variable part in your salary and you try to win the deal technically speaking: building a POC, implement client's suggestions, and speaking with the dev team to get this built or promised, show them your solution is better than other competitors, etc. Here we are more 100% fixed, 50% variable (100k + 50k if you reach 100% of your deals target). FYI this is called Pre Sales because it's happening before the Sales. Once the deal is closed, you have other teams kicking in (Support, TAM, PS, etc).
