I would say yes. It's subconsciously seen as men:

1) not fulfilling their role as protectors and providers for women and children 2) taking time, energy, and resources away from women and giving it to men 3) being 'unmanly' and weak by 'acting like women, not men', thereby putting society at risk.

The reasons may be diverse, but I suspect that it is common is that they hate gays, and especially trans women, because they have a very strict prejudice of what “a real man” is; they think that those collectives do not fulfill their inalienable role, and invade female spaces and privileges.

No, homophobia against men isn’t by default rooted in misandry, but it can be. But if it was, it would have to be influenced by misandry, which it hardly ever is.

Treating lesbians better than gay men can be due to viewing them as less gross and also less threatening or disruptive to social order.
