I'm glad someone checked this piece of shit, ignorant book, that obviously had to be written by an evolutionary biologist. It also reads as a deep confusion between a liberal rad feminist propaganda and a red pilled idiocy with a final blow of revenge fantasy when she says that men should be educated to accept that most of them won't even procreate and only the attractive males should be allowed to fuck. Which oddly enough treats men merely as sexual commodoties. Very feminists, no doubt.

The number of assumptions she makes is revolting, and poorly researched, and sensationalist books like this give momentum to red pill crap.

I'd like to know what she makes of the fact that when you look at our closest relatives, the bonobos and chimps, despite popular beliefs they are both promiscuous species with polygynous tendencies. In chimps, females mate with ALL males during oestrust, but may prefer to mate with a specific conspecific at times, which may or may not be an alpha male, who usually just tries to monopolize any fertile female anyway by RAPING them and shooing away competition. A similar pattern actually happens in Bonobos, despite claims of "peaceful community", which is true, but not as romaticized, given that male bonobos will often also coerce females to sex.

So, when our closest relatives have a promiscuous mating system with a tendency for dominant males to rape and try to monopolize sex anyway, how does that look for her thesis?

Also, there's evidence that arranged marriages were practiced as early as 60K years ago. 6 times earlier than what she suggests. And genetic evidence of skewed reproducitve ratio is also low, meaning that polygyny wasn't all that common anyway in humans. There's overwhelming evidence that hunter gatherers were patrolling female sexuality for a very long time before what she prefers to believe.

There's also evidence from Murdocks Standard Cross Cultural sample that very few men in traditional societies are celibate (close to 11%) and that 12% of men are married polygynously to 20% of women (usually arranged marriages too, btw)

This is a trash book written by a literal feminazi, who like all nazis tries to seek refuge in evolutionary biology, that shouldn't be simply dismissed as sensationalist crap.

Why are you reading books by weirdos? I was looking for some self help books last night, and went straight to the reviews to get the info I needed. Turns out a bunch of these books are being written by the "woke", community. It saved me wasting my money!
