I am by no means a pro at picking up girls. I actually consider myself quite poor at closing the deal. That said, I am not without some success and I would like to share a technique which I have found quite useful: palm reading.

At some point after I have met and chatted with a girl for a few minutes, I will occasionally pull out this technique. I tell her that I am a palm reader and take her hand and start "reading" it. Occasionally she will tell you that she thinks you are full of shit, to which I respond "how does that make me any different from a 'legitimate' palm reader?" I have yet to encounter any resistance to this response.

From here I like to make a generic statement about some dirty fantasy I "see". I find it best not to go into detail. Just look her in the eye and say "wow. you are one dirty girl." After this I start describing the type of guy she likes by describing myself very specifically. I might say "seems like you fancy guys who are about 5'7'' with short brown hair."

If she agrees with you, you are golden. If not, you can move on. Its a fantastic excuse to hold her hand for a minute or so and get a pretty direct gauge on whether or not she is interested in you. Highly recommend you give this technique a try. It's a lot of fun even if it doesn't work out for you in the end.
