Ugh. I don't even know what to make of this post. But I'll try.

You don't have to wait an hour to respond. That's weird. Sure, if every response is within seconds, maybe slow it down a liiittle, but you don't need to wait like that. Don't play games.
Sending another text saying you're looking forward to tonight isn't needy.

Sending a text you're looking forward to tonight is ok because it is a good confirmation of the date as girls are very flakey. This is actually one of the few types of texts you SHOULD be sending (i.e. confirmation texts) The other type is logistical texts (e.g. lets meet at XYZ location). Save shooting the shit for real life.

If she's messaging you out of the blue you definitely have a green light. You should only be texting as much as her or less than, ideally less than. Seems like you already have this situation secured, you probably could've kissed her on the first date if you tried to (not sure if you tried)
