I'm no psychologist but your "friend" sounds passive aggressive as fuck and the only way to beat a passive aggressive person is with assertiveness. This means you need to bring all of this to a head now, but with her not with him. The next time you two are together you need to escalate and fast. If you aren't kissing her and making out with her by the end of the night, then give it up cause you need to have tried by then for sure.

Anyways I personally will never fight over a girl, it's not worth my time, there are other girls out there. Also girls don't quite know who they like until suddenly they don't have both boys by the leash at her feet.
