I see a lot of posts on here about how to approach women, how to get the confidence to go up to women, what to say when starting a conversation with a girl. But all of this, in my opinion, misses the point.
It's not about approaching women. It's about being the type of guy who's unafraid to start a conversation with a stranger. In my experience, if I focus on just approaching attractive women, they can sense that I'm just talking with them because I think they're hot and not because I have something to say. By broadening my approach, and chatting with a dude at the gym, an old lady at the grocery store, the guy next to you in line at the bank, I've developed the skill of initiating conversations with whoever. Suddenly, when I see an attractive woman, I know how to treat her like a human being instead of a sex object, and that makes all the difference in how she responds to my approach.
So for everyone here struggling with the fear of approaching women, my advice is start small. Talk with anyone you can, anywhere you can, and do this any chance you get until it becomes second nature. Before you know it, you'll naturally spark conversation with an attractive woman who catches your attention, and she'll be into you without you even having to think about it.
