First things first, most guys don't do cold approaches. Cold approaches are "weird and scary"

Learn to approach like a guy that's never read anything about approaching.

Then try direct approaches.

Between regular approaches and very simple approaches, you'll learn what kind of first impression you give off.

There should be a difference. If there is no difference, you change up the intensity of the direct.

"You're cute" becomes "You're fine" to

"Goddamn bitch, where you been hiding that phat ass?"

A direct approach is supposed to polarize chicks.

She's supposed to know right then and there, that if she gives you the time of day, you're going to try to bend her over in the bathroom stall at the food court even if she had a cheesy beef and bean burrito.

Most girls are like "Nah", but some will be with it.

After you've done both, and you know how chicks react to you, that is when you learn indirect game. Indirect is not just delaying the punchline, it is getting the girl to chase you.

"Damn girl, you fine as frog hair" = direct.

It's a physical compliment, and the desired response is "thank you, you're not too bad yourself."

"Damn girl, you fine as frog hair, I wish you were my type." = indirect.

Physical compliment, but there is a bait question at the end that is meant to get a girl into an emotional state.

"meant to get a girl into an emotional state." Is the key to indirect. You're fucking with her head, you're making her feel ways she normally doesn't feel, everything is new and unexpected.

Indirect is much better, much more versatile than direct and regular approaches.

But indirect is complicated. It really isn't for guys that haven't done normal stuff already.

For me, I usually default to some type of situational indirect opener for day game ie "hey have you tried this restaurant over here?"; and something direct/corney for the bars ie the "how you doing" in Joey's voice with a smirk, something dumb. But realistically, like most of the advice on here, it's not really about the words or style you use it's all about the vibe you give off during the approach and actually SAYING ANYTHING.

One thing you could do though to find out for your own unique persona is just commit 100% to one style for couple nights and see what happens and then vice versa for a couple more nights and judge your results and feelings about either style.

Its personal preference.

I always go direct. My default opener is:

Hey I was walking to X and I just noticed you with your (make an observation about her appearence: cool dress for example), So I had to come say hi cause i think you look adorable.

Or something like that. Keep it direct and funny. With indirect its easier to get friendzoned.

I always think of it as direct with your intent and actions, indirect with your words. Your actions show interest by showing up and talking, your words are playful and picking on/disqualifying. This is basic flirting. Eventually girls won’t even listen to your words they can tell your intent by your actions, this is something girls also do to us that we misconstrue as disinterest. If you approach a girl the fact that she’s still there, still holding conversation is a green light even if she seems bitchy or disinterested

I think for day game direct works pretty well actually. It's very uncommon and the girl is alone and a bit vulnerable when it comes to impressions. She has no reason to have a bitch shield up because she's not expecting that. So direct can really cut through the bullshit, show a lot of confidence and build sexual tension.

But for night game in America you are going to get blown out a ton of times going direct. Your conversion rate will be similar to someone that has hardly any game and your quality of girls will be much lower. You simply arn't pulling a 9 or 10 ever if you go direct unless you are extremely handsome and even then it will be rare.

I usually only go indirect for night game unless I have a good reason to go direct. Like someone already mentioned, you are being direct with body language. When you look into a girls eyes and think I'm going to fuck you, trust me she will pick up on it. Trying to isolate a girl from her friends after you opened direct is going to be extremely hard and you will have to target girls that are alone which is hardly ever.

The entire vibe is awkward if you go direct. The target will be thinking about what her friends think and how she should react. The friends start thinking about how to save their friend or they worry you are going to take all her attention. Some girls even get jealous and start trying to sabotage.

That's for night game tho. For day game it really doesn't matter to be honest. The opener matters so little im day game that you can basically say whatever you want. The hard part is building enough rapport quickly enough in a short amount of time.

It's simple, with indirect you're often wasting alot of time.

With direct, you immediately get a fuck yes or fuck no answer and the fuck yes girls are very enthusiastic down the line and don't flake as often.

So, if you have scarcity, you'll probably do indirect.

If you already have 3 girls on the side and 10 more texting you, then you sure won't waste time with indirect, but go direct to only get girls that want to get to know you anyway.
