Any ideas how i can escalate at a coffee date? I know there are probably thousands of ways, but i just want to here some ideas! Thanks guys!...

There are two pieces of advice I think might help. First is to not make your goal ‘getting laid’, but instead to build a relationship. The second is to not be as negative as the guy I responded to.

When meeting up with a woman, unless she was specific about also only wanting a one night stand, she is considering entering a relationship with you. This is the time to test it out. To begin any relationship, it starts with talking to each other. Find similar interests and hobbies to talk about. Talk about something you’re passionate about, that’s what really makes people shine. Just make sure to talk TO her and not AT her. Include her in the conversation. Ask her about her hobbies or passions as well.

If you make your goal ‘getting laid’, it’s typically very apparent either due to your not so subtle hints or just the lack of good/actual conversation since guys are so busy focusing on their dick. Unless we’re also looking to just get laid, it’s a big turn off.

And also, don’t be negative. If, for example, she invited you to a coffee date and you hate coffee dates, don’t say, ‘I don’t do that’. That puts you in a negative light and the person may associate you negatively. Give another suggestion. ‘I don’t really like coffee, did you want to go for lunch instead?’ Or you could suggest an activity like a quick hike/walk around a park (activities make for easy talking points to avoid lulls in the conversation). Try to be or act more positive in general and they won’t see you as a complainer or someone that’s a Debby Downer. No one likes to be around those people.

You being positive will have her associate you with a positive/happy feeling and she’s likely to want to see you again. Just don’t over do it and yes everything to death, that’s not the positivity I’m talking about. Just make sure that it something goes wrong, it could even be a little thing like you can’t find parking so you have to walk a few blocks, don’t let it get you down and start complaining. Just keep thinking positively, ‘at least it’s a nice day so the walk isn’t too bad’.
