What helped you over the hump? Because that's exactly where I am right now in my junior year. I feel like I need a kick to the pants to get my shit together.

Think about this differently. Your goal in reading the sidebar—and in reading anything—should be understanding. Speed reading relies on consuming words as quickly as possible, when you should be consuming ideas. That means less time spent reading and more time spent thinking. Strive instead to quickly arrive at the purpose of a passage, its implications, and what it means in the context of your previous learnings. If you can consistently capture the main ideas of a text, you will make someone wh…

This. I was introverted throughout high school before learning that, with effort, I started to enjoy social interactions more and more. The key is to remember that, if you are introverted, it's okay to take a day for yourself and have some alone time. It's good for everyone to a certain extent. Like any other muscle, force yourself to use it until it grows. There is no "introvert game." The game is the same.

Cool—my original plan. Brb will return with results of this.

Hadn't considered that actually. Maybe I'm having trouble because I subconsciously know it wouldn't work out well. Interesting.

Hm. Point taken. Wonder if we can make an "Emergency Oneitis" button like no-fap has.

Ok cool. I will google—any chance you have a favorite guide on hardcore polarity shifts? I understand the concept but gotta find a refresher.

Have slept with a few of them. The result has been her making fun of me for it, and a bit of what I assume to be some social proof. I would like to think it's not oneitis because I have no trouble going elsewhere and focusing on other girls—I suppose it's more of a constant sexual tension. The problem is making sure that tension is two sided and not ACTING in a way that accompanies oneitis.

Whoa harsh much? Haha—though in the context of low success I believe I agree. Thoughts on second being a professional career image/linkedin if it fulfills the "betaprovider" ideal? I feel that a lot of the concepts on TRP apply generally rather than just in dealing with women.

Interesting. Good point that the "have girls in your pics" concept may be a bit more nuanced than at first glance. Nice job on the matches, pretty epic. That vibe is definitely something I'll have to work on. Thoughts on that vibe's portrayal in pics?

In hindsight, maybe accurate; still, it seemed like another potentially valuable tool.

Cool example, didn't even know GovSchwarzenegger had a kid. And yep, could totally fix it. Just had never bothered to try digital before now (for now good reason). Even so, there's a reason models still wear normal makeup: the more of a picture that is actually real, the more the end product will look real.

Agreed. With hypergamy and the chad buffet that is Tinder, ethics kinda goes out the window. And cool, definitely.

Hm. Makes sense. The glasses are a bit more on the bright red side, but I understand the point. Dress like chad, act like chad—because girls like chad.

The point of this was sort of that the threads alone on Tinder game here already haven't afforded me that much success—though they have helped; trust me I've gone through them all. I was looking for more.

Super solid response. Agree with the wakeup call at the end. Perhaps this is ultimately a "path of least resistance" problem. If you're having a hard time putting screws in with a hammer, you should go get a fucking screw driver instead of asking how to make the hammer work. ++

Interesting. So I'm going to go with my pics aren't as okay as I thought (obviously in retrospect). The elephant one you mentioned also makes me more confident in the need for an action/fun shot.

LOL nice—good "gives no shits" response. Got asked a bit, then started putting it in my description which I think actually lowered match rates. Interesting to keep in mind.

I'm a viz designer so I could actually do that myself. Always been hesitant but not 100% sure on the reasons. Maybe I'll try it. If anyone wants editing done btw, HMU; I get bored.

See this is the kind of thing that I'm confused by. The "boy" criticism actually makes a lot of sense—I'm definitely working on that. The above pics were taken at ~155-160lbs and 6'. I'm currently sitting closer to 185lbs but need more muscle + leaner bulking. The "I've never had any issues with Tinder" line is what I'm trying to avoid which seems unproductive; it doesn't really add any insight to the question of "this hasn't worked for me, why?"

I follow you. I still have approach anxiety (working on it every day) but I agree that ultimately, the most valuable tool/medium for meeting women is real life. That said, I also believe in taking advantage of every tool possible. Tinder has potential, and I'm simply looking to employ it in addition. Also, what's wrong with PUA? (Other than the obvious issues with gimmicks and scripted).

^ This was the inspiration for using the above—I should have included this in the post, but from my use this summer, the most successful photos have been ones that include women, with success rates proportional to the attractiveness of the women. preselection and value, can confirm totally works.

Hm interesting. That actually makes a lot of sense and seems pretty easy to fix :P so here's hoping you're onto something

I LOVE your analysis. Super solid commentary on why those probably don't work, great alternatives. But most of all, you have probably the most important thought in the thread imo; it's not worth letting tinder become the focus of excess effort. I still hold that there may be value in helping people figure out how to actually improve Tinder game, but I agree that the same effort spent in person day/night gaming will be infinitely more valuable. ++

Slightly related question for online dating—has anyone had success passing the "maybe" shittest? I couldn't find anything on it. I've had some limited success with "You seem interesting. Let's go out." And variants, but often I get "maybe" as a response or something similar. How do I convert this to a "hell yes?"

You are correct, Nash Equilibrium is a topic in game theory. I think there are a couple of slight misunderstandings on both of our parts though. Having watched the scene again, Nash actually explains to the other men that the optimal course of action would be for none of them to go for the blonde. They don't actually all go for her. Also, remember that Chad will go for one or more of the women, but the subset of women present may be below his standards and he actually won't take one. Though NE i…

Strange analogy so bear with me, but curing blue pill has always felt like league of legends soloqueue to me. If you are familiar with the game, a common complaint among lower ranked players is "I would be diamond but my team always sucks." Or some other similar blame shift. What better players often try to explain is that everyone in soloqueue is in the same situation. If you don't do well in soloqueue, it's not your team, it's YOU. And for many, that is a hard truth to accept. The only thing t…

Nash Equilibrium is a correction upon Adam Smith's invisible hand theory that says all economic actors choose to act in a way that benefits them the best; Nash Equilibrium states that all actors actually choose to do what is best for them WHILE taking into account what each of the other players is planning to do—thus changing what is best. TL;DR: Women going for the blonde and ignoring the fact that all other women are going for him as well is well described as a violation of Nash Equilibrium. S…

Eloquent. How, might I ask, did you go about your "recent transition?" New job, the usual working out, etc.? Sudden social cred from a connection?
