I think this is just how life works unfortunately. Congrats on your glow up.

At your age if you want kids I think you know what you need to do asap. This is not a sustainable rship.

The same values and goals in life. I always thought the trend of valuing “chemistry” above all else was very unwise. There’s plenty of charismatic men who have mastered the art of creating this. Likewise there’s plenty of lovely men who are easy to talk to and get along with, it doesn’t mean they are husband material. What really matters is that you share the same core values and goals in life.

Stop driving to his place all the time and see how quickly the rship fizzles. I’m sorry, I don’t see this going anywhere.

Lol! Yes but I don’t say it out loud.

Yes I agree with your interpretation. You should not feel bad, your interests should lie with yourself and you are not a well of empathy for him at the expense of your own emotional needs being met. You sound like a caring and empathetic person. In terms of talking to him, I wouldn’t be overly specific, but perhaps say something like based on his behaviours he doesn’t seem emotionally ready for a relationship, and a proper relationship is what you’re looking for. That addresses both (1)his emoti…

I’m sorry I really don’t like that he brought that up and in the manner he did ie. place, timing etc. I wonder if he’s not over her and he mentioned it on the last night to “keep you in your place” as such ie, don’t get too attached kinda thing. Like that could have been such a nice moment for you two and he actively chose to round your holiday off with that?! It’s also three months and non exclusive so I think it’s prime time to discuss what you’re doing anyway. If you really like him, have the…

Agree with this. She’s an influencer and that comes with projecting an image or lifestyle to stay relevant. It’s a shelf life that’s for sure. OP don’t compare yourself too much.

In my opinion definitely old money behave like this, and some new money. It’s no different to other classes or subsets of society marrying people mostly similar to themselves.

Is he really your boyfriend? Are you in a proper committed relationship and have you had that discussion? I’m sorry OP.

Just try to always look classy and mostly covered imo. It’s hard developing your sense of style but keep an eye out for well dressed women when you’re out or style icons you like on instagram or whatever. Men of certain social standing do not want a partner who “shows it all” for various reasons, including how it makes him look to friends/family/collegues. How you dress for him at home and during intimacy is a completely different matter lol.

I think they probably do, but that’s because they’re more attractive to women. IMO Personality type is most important, followed by opportunity and access which have changed massively in recent times and become less relevant for reasons I mention below. Being married to a high earning man is not for the faint hearted, because naturally other women will find them attractive and will make passes at them. The big mistake, is marrying a low earning man or a man with little access to women and thinkin…

Some people are late bloomers, it’s okay. Sounds like you’re in a better place mentally now which is great. Time to get physically healthier. I will say that time is slightly against you, so you will need to prioritise dating and meeting potential partners. Maybe Freeze your eggs but also know they’re not a sure fire insurance policy. Good luck! x

Good points I agree. Also the journal is of such poor quality that it has been de listed and doesn’t even have an impact factor. They are a definitely decent and relatively safe option for women looking to settle down although they are typically on the more conservative side and will expect the same of their partner. Also they get snatched up early. I like a previous posters idea about listing different professions and their positives and negatives. @throwaway talks you’re reaching. Male doctors…

I disagree with you.. You speak with such authority for someone I assume is not a doctor. There is a lot about our physician culture that outsiders don’t know or understand.
/r/RedPillWomen30/11/24 09:51 AM

Doctors are conservative and are a safer bet than other high earning men such as those in finance or media etc. (source: I am a doctor). But of course all high earning men are attractive to many women so you must pick carefully x

The real answer is to go to his “notifications” section on his iPhone and scroll through the apps there. Whatever app it is, has notifications turned on. Figure it out and work backwards from that. What you do with the information you find there is up to you. My hubbys never done anything but the scientist in me is always a proponent of getting my own objective info. Good luck x

Are you underweight? If not, then I honestly think just ignore it. Imagine a man asking you to lose some weight and the reaction most women would have. My husband doesn’t comment on my weight at all, aside from one time I was extremely underweight and he started making dinner for us and gently suggested once I needed to eat more. I really don’t think it’s a man’s place to be dictating your body size or shape, unless you’re one of the unhealthy extremes. Your body your life.

/r/RedPillWomen01/11/24 07:18 PM

Where did I say it was? I said the denial of male sexuality as it exists is possibly just another form of emasculation. It’s the denial by the women, of his visuality, that is emasculating.

Men have been trying to not hurt our feelings since the beginning of time. Pretending they don’t notice attractive women or our weight or whatever else is just a part of life that keeps the sexes happy together.
/r/RedPillWomen01/11/24 08:58 AM
2

It’s the same as asking my husband if I look fat when I know damn well I’ve put on pregnancy weight and he says no. It’s not true but makes me happy. Bless him but it’s still not true and we both know it haha.
/r/RedPillWomen01/11/24 07:39 AM

I know the wife goggles concept but never thought of it as “immunising” men hehe which I find funny but also I agree with you. Yeah I agree, I have several older brothers and the one that’s nerdy and quiet with a controlling wife is the only one I’ve seen be mesmerised by beautiful women (not around his wife), it wasn’t obvious but I’ve known him my whole life so I saw what was happening and said something to him about it.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 08:13 PM
1

Thanks for the reply. Yes the latter behaviour is gross. A man who respects and loves his partner will reign it in to the point where it’s a non issue.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 08:10 PM
2

Thanks for the reply. I don’t think it’s healthy to live in denial, and a quiet acceptance of how things are (of course with your own boundaries in place) is better for everyone. I suppose I’m also interested in the ongoing emasculation of men I’ve noticed in society and I see this as part of it. Perhaps being the “thought police” gives these women a false sense of control and I think that could backfire for them.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 07:55 PM
1

Yes this makes sense. Thanks for the reply. I just think men are more visual/sexual by nature and variably learn to control it as per their experience as you say. A woman claiming her man never notices attractive women is kinda denying reality.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 07:40 PM
2

Such a solid response thanks for the reply and thought put into it. I really appreciate it. Yes I’m surprised on a subreddit that a few women in here are in denial and maybe haven’t read the pre reading. These women I’ve met in real life it def seemed like a bragging thing and it’s like “aaaah….whose gunna tell them” kinda thing.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 07:30 PM
2

This is very interesting reply and thank you. I agree, I have personally seen some of the quieter/nerdier/not seen many beautiful women be the ones who act weird when eventually exposed to them. Super interesting idea re the wife goggles.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 07:23 PM
2

That’s interesting thanks you. I find evolutionary psychology very interesting. Also helps me feel more at ease in accepting differences between men and women.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 07:19 PM

Thanks for the reply. I agree. Men are delicate in the topic and are careful to make their us feel special, and that’s the right thing to do. Yesssss Rihanna
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 07:16 PM
3

Thanks for reply. Yes I agree. What’s that saying “I’m married, not dead”! His commitment love and attraction to you are the most important things. Not trying to be a man’s thought police.

Thanks for the reply. Ooh I haven’t been to that subreddit, I might check it out!
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 07:11 PM

Thanks for your reply. I’m assuming you’re a guy? I was interested for a guys opinion on the matter. Hmm you’re right it does come across as bragging. Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m certainly no expert but have several older brothers all married happily and parents happily married for forty years and I feel I have some understanding and acceptance of male differences.

Yes I agree with this. Thanks for the reply.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 07:07 PM

I respectfully disagree. You’re confusing “genuine interest” with “oh she’s pretty” then moving on with his day.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 11:01 AM
5

Oh my goodness. You’ve avoided my content completely. All the best.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 10:36 AM
1

I’m not sure why you’re so fixated on my delivery rather than the content. People can believe what they want, but I think in the interest of male and female relations we should (1) not deny differences between men and women and (2) not try pretend men aren’t more visual than we are. I think it’s far more classy and traditional to accept the differences, and not try change the facts because we feel uncomfortable with them. It’s controlling.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 10:16 AM
5

That’s such a high level and interesting analysis thank you. I don’t get jealous either! That’s actually one of my main points that I didn’t really get across at all. I know that emotional and mental attraction are so strong and I feel comfortable with my hubby, and also that he thinks I’m a babe. But I accept that’s separate to pure physical attraction which for men I think they probably see fleeting beauty everywhere because they’re visual then probably forget. Lol that’s funny about you guys …
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 10:12 AM

Yes this is what I thought when I read this.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 10:00 AM

Also love for the word “copium” hehe
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 09:51 AM
5

But Heterosexual men are attracted to women? Hmm yes there are women in real life too. I’ve met several recently with this sentiment and they seem rather forceful about it. I actually have no evidence that my husband is attracted to other women but I’m sure he is and I don’t try and fight it. It is what it is and men are by nature rather visual.
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 09:44 AM
9

That’s rather high for your age but I’m a bit of an old fashioned millennial. I think the lying was the main issue. You’ve recognised this as an issue though and that’s great. Perhaps take some time to yourself to work on yourself and think about the sort of young woman you want to be, and what kind of relationships you would like. You’re young and can make so much progress, just try be a little more purposeful xo
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 09:41 AM
5

Agreed and thanks for the reply. Sounds like you have good open communication with your partner. Yes perhaps I was too bold about the flirting part, some men might not notice but also they have form for thinking women are flirting when really they are just being a friendly waitress or whatever so I have no idea lol. xo
/r/RedPillWomen31/10/24 09:38 AM
6

Yes I agree. I would not tolerate ogling or comments personally. Some women seem to have happy relationships and they comment with their partner on attractive women passing by, not for me but if it works for them then great. I think perhaps it’s a need to control and potentially further emasculate men by denying that they are more visual than us. Is the average man going to notice a billboard in passing that has a Victoria’s Secret model or similar of his physical preference on it? Yes. It doesn…

My husband is like what exactly? I explicitly stated that we don’t discuss it. We husband is actually neurodivergent himself. It’s the pretence that their partner doesn’t notice attractive women that I find to be odd and indeed just straight up false. The lady doth protest too much! I am comfortable enough within myself to accept this fact. Are women “dogs” for finding an attractive man attractive? Weird angle to take.

/r/RedPillWomen21/09/24 09:28 PM

Absolutely. The blanket terms are important too. But for some reason in recent generations we have chosen to pretend class “doesn’t exist” whilst the above knowledge was accepted etc by our grandmothers. It still exists.

Sounds like he wants out and is just finding random faults.
/r/RedPillWomen11/08/24 09:50 PM

Yes this sounds very hard and you’re a better woman than I am if you can pull this off. Like he’s openly disrespecting you and your family unit. Regardless of what happens I think you need to refocus back on yourself. I know it’s hard but try stop focusing on him and revisit your own hobbies and self interests. I feel for you. This sounds very tough xo
/r/RedPillWomen30/07/24 10:50 PM
12

While you’re sleeping? With the kids in the house? Omg hell no. It sounds like you want to keep this marriage am I correct? In which case my only advice would be to just ignore his behaviour and concentrate on yourself and your self esteem. Don’t rely on him for anything. Don’t argue. Just start being your own person. I’ve heard of men getting bored and coming back when you stop caring and arguing with them. For me personally, infidelity is a deal breaker and I would calmly leave this situation …
/r/RedPillWomen30/07/24 10:28 PM
12

First of all he needs to stop reaching out to his affair partner. That’s an ultimatum I would be willing to make if I were you. How can you work on yourself when your self esteem is shot and he keeps in contact with her and making direct comparisons. If you want to continue this marriage, then you both need to want it. Secondly you don’t want to be like this girl. Someone who knowingly entertains a married man. Eye roll. I know the type. I think at very least you should focus on yourself and you…
/r/RedPillWomen30/07/24 09:43 PM
2

I think you need to meet him in person, then go from there. Don’t get too invested when you haven’t even met him yet.
/r/RedPillWomen30/07/24 04:29 AM
2

You’re missing the point and I feel you’re a tad naive. My husband and I share the same values re porn and sexuality but at the end of the day he’s his own person and if he were to look it up on his phone then I wouldn’t even know and it’s his life. It’s not a hill worth dying on. Modern women are becoming far too meddling and controlling imo.
/r/RedPillWomen30/07/24 04:22 AM
1

I mean sure. Men are also very good at telling women what they want to hear too. I just think an ultimatum of no porn is a tough sell these days unforts. It’s not like you can enforce it anyway.
/r/RedPillWomen30/07/24 04:12 AM
1

All straight men like images of beautiful women in suggestive positions. Morally? Perhaps not. But physically yes. My point to OP is to really not focus on it unless it’s causing issues in her relationship. With the use of iPhones etc the horse has already bolted and beyond having a discussion with your partner about it you can’t control what someone else thinks or does.
/r/RedPillWomen27/07/24 08:59 PM
1

Hmm. Is it you, or him making you feel this way? Like does he make comments? There will always be other attractive women, especially with the right makeup and lighting and AI and filters the whole thing is ridiculous now.
/r/RedPillWomen26/07/24 01:43 AM
5

Trying to ban a modern man from porn is almost a futile exercise imo. Don’t bother. The rest of your post sounds like you’re trying very hard to be a certain way. It’s okay to not be happy and bright and cheerful. It would be weird if you were that way all the time. May I ask how old you are? You sound quite young for and it can be normal to spend years figuring out who you are and what your identity is. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
/r/RedPillWomen26/07/24 12:06 AM
2

I’m a doctor so understand the struggles of med school and honestly I think you’ve done so well to get this far! Congrats! Most guys I knew at the time didn’t want the hassle or the stress and then kind of tried to aggressively come back into my life when I was a qualified doctor. lol nope. I was happily engaged to supportive hubby by then. Anyway enough about me. Basically I think you just need to accept that he will never understand how shit it is. Just accept the support you do get and don’t …
/r/RedPillWomen21/07/24 10:52 PM
15

Good points by everyone else. Capacity to provide is the most obvious. Also don’t be fooled by trust fund types as they can be the most cheapass in my experience. Secondary, actions speak louder than words. Does he provide? Does he pay for dates? Listen to how he speaks about his parents and their dynamic. What are his values? (Married six years. Together ten).

Thanks for the reply. Okay my best friend might be good for it (she’s a lawyer too actually, I noticed your username lol!). I think that sounds reasonable and like a polite redirection.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/24 07:22 AM
2

I’m wanting to redirect but not in a rude way if possible. So my question is really about etiquette and I don’t believe that’s always so black and white. Yeah the car situation definitely sound weird which I can appreciate, there are some women from out of town and also toddlers and car seats to be considered which is how it’s turned out like this.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/24 07:21 AM
3

Agree re the poor boundaries. I’ve been working on this recently. I mean others are free to conduct themselves how they want but I feel that I’m going to have to say something to her for my own sanity at this point.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/24 06:57 AM
3

I’m friends with her because it’s been a long term friendship, and I just feel that she creates these issues for attention because she’s unhappy with her marriage. It’s a cry for attention which has really only surfaced in recent years. Honestly at this point I would prefer she not come but she’s giving a lift to some others who can’t make it otherwise. I do really want to see my other friends.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/24 06:18 AM
4

Thanks for the reply! Yes I’ve told one friend and as a greater group we are aware that this woman does this but everyone feels bad for her so we do honestly just enable it a bit. What exactly could be said to redirect? If you redirect her from one thing she just goes to another. It’s relentless.
/r/RedPillWomen12/07/24 04:28 AM
1

Mutual friend organising event is the best idea here. OP can suss things out and get to know him better. I’m married to a lawyer and they seem fairly confident and pushy when they know what they want LOL so I would try get to know him first and speak his interest. Good luck OP! x
/r/RedPillWomen14/06/24 03:04 AM
1

I’ve seen men get older and suddenly want their partner to have a job. I don’t even think it’s about the finances, maybe it’s more they want you to have something/an interest to talk about? I don’t know. Anyway either way the way he speaks to you is not appropriate and you need to set boundaries as others have stated. Good luck x
/r/RedPillWomen14/06/24 03:01 AM
2

He should know by now. I would say, casually but firmly, that you would think he would know by now and would expect proposal by the end of the year. Then never mention it again. That’s the important bit, like it’s then never mentioned as you’ve said your piece. I’ve seen this work many times. Good luck x

I think these are separate questions. Should you be healthier and lose some kilos? Sure. As to him, it sounds like he’s on the way out anyway so it’s not really a decision to make there.
/r/RedPillWomen02/06/24 03:39 AM

Why do you need to? It’s not your job to be baited into easing his anxieties, ie. he transfers all his negative energy onto. I’m not trying to be harsh, having dealt with guys like this before it’s just so easy to get caught up in their negativity which they dump on you and then they go about their day happy.
/r/RedPillWomen19/05/24 05:41 AM

Number 2 was the time to bail. He wasn’t into you and told you. I’m sorry. Heal and move on gal xo

I’m married so long out of the dating game lol. But yes, given the ease of texting etc I would expect at least quick daily communication.

Productive to him would mean feeding his negative unnecessary spiral. You don’t have to take part in a conversation that makes yourself uncomfortable just because someone else demands you do.
/r/RedPillWomen18/05/24 08:52 PM
6

I don’t believe this is an example of STFU at all. This is refusing to engage with someone who is trying to pull you into their deregulated negative spiral. Notice he gets annoyed when you won’t engage? Red flag
/r/RedPillWomen17/05/24 11:29 PM

He said she’s attractive? He’s enjoying the attention of two women. It’s really up to you whether you tolerate this or not tbh.
/r/RedPillWomen13/05/24 05:24 AM

He needs to want to improve the way he speaks to you, otherwise this will not change and will continue to erode your relationship. I agree with continuing to disengage when he gets angry, I wouldn’t even explain, just walk off and do something else. It’s not your job to be his outlet for irritation.

I think you should use your skillset (ie. education degree) rather than start at the bottom with something else. Wealthy families will pay a lot for private tutoring for their kids? Good option if you want to avoid schools. My mum is a seniors English teacher and did this for a while.

4 years is too long and don’t question the validity of your desire to settle down. I broke up with a boyfriend in my early twenties (I would have married him but he wanted to play the field- same age), then another mid twenties after 2 years together, then my next boyfriend I told after a year that he should know after another year. Now married! Honestly don’t be passive with your life. I’ve seen women give ultimatums with varied success, if you’re on the way out anyway then you may as well if y…

It’s hard but these are the facts of life. Men will always admire younger women, but they also love their wives in a deep and genuine way and quite honestly I don’t see women loving men back that deeply. Take the wins you can and try not to focus on the rest. Also some women seem to have such good style and zest and beautiful personalities etc that men will always fall over their feet for them. People always remember how you make them feel.

This is so true. I’ve posted about this before. It’s 2023 not the 1950s. Men’s expectations and society had changed. Even trad men mostly expect a woman to have a college degree or some kind of earning power or interests of her own. It’s kind of the benchmark norm now. Once they see what a woman is capable of they respect her, and want to support her. A woman who rolls up with no job or education or ability to make any money is really at a disadvantage. Even in our mother’s era it was quite usua…

Congrats on your bubba! Our experience sounds similar to yours. I actually think it is RPW, it’s just the practical way of establishing the dynamic you want in modern times. Most high earning men in 2023 are at least slightly distrustful of a woman who has no job when they meet them. I do have a friend who managed this dynamic but now that the kids are a bit older etc her husband keeps asking her “when are you going to get a job” ie. it wasn’t his idea for her to be at home. He’s never seen her …

You don’t know if you like it until you try it! I think it’s good to keep an open mind about hobbies. I think the only thing here that is actually helpful and a teaching point is that men are often attracted to women who work, but they see them struggle and get stressed with it all, thus their desire to be a provider kicks in. My husband makes 700k (AUD tho lol) and I’m a physician, I now only work part time but he was there to live through all the night shifts and stress and everything else that came with my job. May I ask why you were surprised? One of the mistakes I think women make is looking dishevelled, because it is literally SO EASY to make yourself look polished within a minute. I know this because I’ve done it myself and had comments on how put together I look which is hilar because I just rolled out of bed just before. A clean face is crucial, and at bare minimum hair brushed either back into a ballerina bun or pony tail or out (whatever suits you). I then do tinted lip balm and mascara. You ca…

I’ve seen some men believe what they want to believe with regards to attractive women. I know a very attractive girl, good family, studying accounting. It’s as ridiculous as if they made one for men. Imagine, all men want slim 5’8 nice natural long thick hair, low body count, never married, no kids, under 28, eats a lot but never puts on weight, a good cook, and has a college degree, fertile, smart but not smarter than them. My flaws: Not knowing when to STFU. I’ve worked really hard on this and from observing my Mum who is really good at it, and taking three deep breaths before speaking when triggered, and choosing my battles, I have become waaaaaay better at this. It’s taken years though. “Going with the flow” too much in friendships and not making conscious decisions about who to surround myself with. I’m trying to become more aware of dynamics and whether I’m happy with them and how my friendships make me feel.
/r/RedPillWomen28/09/23 04:40 AM

Depends on the society and the type of circles. Some families are very insular and judgemental about those who “aren’t like them”. If you’re in the USA you’re likely to have a better chance than in say, the UK which has a very rigid class system. It def helps that you’re a med student! That increases your social value. I’m a physician and as you know us doctors sort of have our own little clique so don’t worry too much, hopefully his parents will see you as one of them. Try not to worry too much…

Yes that’s an interesting observation! I’ve lived in the UK as well for years as was considered “very sporty” by everyone because I would casually jog once a week. In Australia I’m considered very un-sporty and the culture of athleticism here is very strong. The fitness influencers are def capitalising on that! I can only speak for my country (Australia) but I feel that here men are very focused on weight. They want women to ideally be slim and with some athletic tone. I got a lot of attention when my BMI was 17 (I’m tall so it was still healthy) and certainly get less now that I’m about 23, which is still healthy range but yeah I’ve def noticed the difference. I’m married for six years! Such an interesting dilemma, because you obviously need to put your best foot forward and give him a taste of what married life with you is like, but not too much so that he gets comfortable and can’t be bothered proposing, which seems an all too common occurrence these days. Yes that’s some good points. Like if men weren’t the focus of the film, which is fine, why even attempt to make a half assed storyline about ken/men’s roles? It just seemed so half baked. Some healthy masculinity in the real world would have been a great well rounded addition.

Yes that’s a good interpretation. They were kind of just portrayed as jokes. Definitely growing up with the dolls it was like barbie was the main character, and ken was a bit of an afterthought, and they really extrapolated that to real life. So true about the ending with the Kens. It just fizzled out and they had no definitive ending as such as far as I could see anyway. They fought amongst each other and then…nothing. This is at best, the honest truth of what happened and a big red flag. Maybe he wanted something to happen but she rejected him, maybe they kissed, it’s hard to know. Also you only found out because you checked his tracker. You need more information. Who is she? How did he meet her? Ie. If he went seeking online or apps to find someone (pre-meditated) I see that as worse than opportunistically just driving a coworker home because she needed a lift. I’m sorry this is happening xox
/r/RedPillWomen13/08/23 12:36 AM

I agree. Twenties is the new teenager-hood. Traditional or religious gals on here shouldn’t be discouraged though and should still aim for a similarly aged guy (with same values) imo, instead of immediately going older. It’s def doable, just need to look in the right places.
/r/RedPillWomen11/08/23 11:44 PM

The more traditional model like my parents marrying at 20yo (they met at University, married for 47 years!) seems less common nowdays but is still a nice option if both parties are ready.
/r/RedPillWomen11/08/23 09:37 PM

I agree. Most high value men will go for younger but not too much younger. That’s at least what I’ve seen. The only exception is when they’re slightly more traditional and met youngish and stayed together in which case often similar age.
/r/RedPillWomen10/08/23 07:48 AM

I’ve been around here for 5+ years and only noticed a slight change. It would probably be more helpful if you gave some specific examples? Either way I still find it a lovely place and most topics up for respectful discussion.
/r/RedPillWomen08/08/23 08:39 AM

Hmm I don’t think they prefer them as such? I think they just find it easier on the basis of averages to “date down” because someone average will be wowed by someone giving them attention. It’s no different to hot girls using average guys to do things for them or be in their friend zone.
/r/RedPillWomen08/08/23 08:32 AM

You’re basically the same age!
/r/RedPillWomen08/08/23 08:28 AM

I agree they on average women peak earlier than men. Some men of course never peak, and the act of being older doesn’t guarantee anything, whereas pretty much most women are high value when they’re young. All young women seem gorgeous! Some men are born into money etc and peak early, they were the guys all the girls wanted at my school and university. Some of them settled down, but a lot enjoyed their status and took their sweet time lol. Congrats on your marriage! xo
/r/RedPillWomen08/08/23 08:23 AM

It’s a risk but unless you’re extremely high value enough to get a successful and high value man whilst competing with basically every other woman, it’s not a bad strategy to consider. Just make sure he commits properly (eg. before graduating and becoming a doctor lol) and keep up with your own appearance and attributes etc so he doesn’t become like a “why is he with HER?” type situation when people meet you. Just my 2c.
/r/RedPillWomen02/08/23 08:04 AM

I personally would not be trying a new recipe first go in this instance. If he enjoys meat, then do an Italian dish like lasagne or bolagnase with mince. A meaty casserole also sounds fine if you’re comfy with that. He will appreciate the effort and you will be less stressed as it’s a dish you’re confident with. You can say brightly “next time we can do steak etc”. Good luck! x

You keep asking if you are ugly and this is not something we can answer or offer insight into. Older men sometimes do try for “low hanging fruit” and I’m sorry if that sounds offensive but yes that might include girls who are overweight etc. If you ONLY attracting older men, and not younger ones, then something is up. I think ask a trusted friend. Good luck! xo
/r/RedPillWomen07/06/23 04:43 AM

Men from family money are always like this I find. They’ve had it drilled into them by their parents and sisters etc to not pick up any “users” along the way. I personally paid about 30% of the time with my partner before we were engaged. Like he’s just your boyfriend, not your husband, don’t get too offended he’s testing you out probably. I would also tone down on all the “wife” type chores you’re doing for him xo
/r/RedPillWomen29/05/23 12:53 AM

In some circles, yes. Also University/college is a good place to meet men.
/r/RedPillWomen29/05/23 12:49 AM

Yes that’s a good option! You will both be time poor and likely not see much of eachother, so make sure you carve out time for connection. Also make sure you get commitment sooner rather than later xo

Men don’t have a wall imo, but most of them just never reach HVM status. They just potter along with their life as it is, and that’s fine as long as they’re happy. They might pair up with a woman of similar value who as long as she can keep her hypergamy in check, things will be fine.

I met my husband in my twenties but you’re only 30 and that is not old, and I have friends who met great husbands who were older than you. So don’t lose hope! I think firstly you need to make a genuine assessment of yourself and your life. (If you have barriers to be able to honestly do that then some therapy could be a good start). If you want a healthy relationship with a good partner and you’ve been trying for ages and not succeeding then something needs to change. You say you never find men …

Yes me too! I just had this convo with my hubby yesterday. He has been away a lot for work recently due to his new job, and I really miss our routine and knowing I will see him every night and wake up together in the morning. I just feel less happy when he’s away. Are we needy or are we just normal? I don’t know lol xo

You’ve got a random guy you don’t really know who made you pay for everything up on a pedestal. Gal I’m sorry, you are living with the fantasy and potential of a future-faker. I’m sensing some desperation in your post like you feel you can’t do better? The world is a VERY friendly place when you are a young attractive female. Thanks to my RP mother I was aware that this doesn’t last, but I can see how tempting it is to think that’s how the world just is. I’m still good for my age and I’m married so I don’t care as long as hubby loves me, but I reflect on how when I was (particularly in my early and mid twenties) men hung on my every word, fell over themselves to talk to me, became nervous and bumbling in my presence, I never waited in lines an…

Is this a lifestyle that is common around your area? If not you may need to move somewhere else where there are more men into the sustainable living off some land lifestyle. Are you religious at all? I went to University with what I would consider some very high quality men who were Christian, and they all got married around 23 to women with similar values and mindsets. The obvious answer is to just go older but I would advise against that until you’ve considered some younger guys with similar l…

I think there’s an increasing ammt of men who don’t want kids? I’m not sure. But I’ve heard of it. Make sure you have your degree because nobody can take that away from you and it secures some form of independence and identity and income should it be required. If you wish to get married and start a family then you may have to date a little bit older? Or maybe a religious man (if you are that way yourself?). Focus on building your identity and your personal life skills such that you will attract a decent man who shares your traditional vision. Good luck! xo

You’re not a medical student or a doctor, you’ve taken a very different path in life and that’s great for you, but some of us (for whom this post was directed) are focused on balancing the two. My husband is a babe, objectively speaking, 6’3 with a lean build and twinkly blue eyes and thick brown hair with a boyishly handsome face. Yum haha. Women do flirt with him and that probably creates some risk for infidelity, but you have to be confident within yourself and your marriage to accept that. I do not agree with the “purposely marry the ugly guy as he will be so thankful for you and never cheat” as I have seen that backfire MANY times, with the woman left shell shocked thinking she ha…

I’m Australian! The allure of being a “future doctor” attracts some very beautiful girls, and if the girls are smart they will lock them into marriage and have some kids before they graduate. Otherwise, as far as I’ve seen, it’s mostly guys just using their newfound status for a bit of fun with women previously out of their league. Edited to add, I’ve also seen a lot of male doctors disproportionately married to female teachers.

You’ve mentioned a neurosurgeon so I will comment on this as I’m a physician and therefore have spent a lot of time around male surgeons and physicians. Nowadays, yes, to some degree. The days of the rich successful neurosurgeon having a pretty but uneducated wife to manage the home seem to be dying out. Girl no. You can def do better and he knows it. I’m a physician so feel qualified to comment on this and I get that you’re at work all the time so dating options can be limited. Your value is high and you can do better, even consider non doctors. I married a lawyer for example, same age as me, makes 5x more, no kids. I am not an unusual example, this is easily done as long as you keep up your appearance and make time for dating. Try other professionals like engineers. xo

I agree. I’m 5’9 and prefer tall men (married to 6’3 man) but I had a five year relationship with a man the same height as me. He was attractive and great and honestly the height thing wasn’t an issue. So OP I get the height thing, probably like most men prefer a tiny waist, but do try open your mind a bit. Average or even shortish guys can be hot!

You want a good Christian man but are you Christian yourself? Just trying to clarify why you want a Christian man specifically. Honestly most men just want a woman who is less experienced than themselves imo. So if your count is relatively high then you may need to accept a man who has more than you (ie. probably not Christian). I haven’t discussed specifics with my husband but his count is most def higher than mine, and I believe he’s had short term casual type things whereas I haven’t.

I think the real argument is that times have changed, it’s not 1950 anymore, most women have some sort of skills or qualification. These things can only empower you. If you actively choose to go against the grain and not do this, you’re putting yourself at risk. Why would anyone do that? Finish high school, get your qualification or whatever, then proceed with whatever lifestyle works for you and your partner. Deliberately disempowering yourself is slightly odd imo. I budgeted and prioritised my appearance, also worked as a tutor. You might not need facials! It’s just an example as I had very bad skin that needed it. I scrimped on other things and had DIY beauty stuff at home.

I set out a schedule and made sure I included regular exercise and facials etc in the regime. Basically I kept my appearance as good as I could to make up for the fact that I was getting older and also incredibly time-poor. This reads like you want to do one thing at a time. Work on yourself. Then a degree. Then a husband. Honestly you have to do it all at once. I did my undergrad bachelors then I did medicine, and as I was mid to late twenties I had to manage finding a husband alongside my demanding study schedule. It’s not easy, but it can be done. You need to multitask. In terms of what to study, only you can decide that based on your interests. My mum was a teacher and that always seemed a nice stable flexible …

You’re not worthless. You made a decision and your life has now changed. You have a beautiful baby and that in itself is a blessing. In terms of meeting men, sure, your pool is narrowed now. But that’s okay. Other people’s pools are narrowed for other reasons. Try maximise your other qualities, and be upfront with guys about having a baby. I would also try work towards a degree or career at this stage too so being “a single mum” doesn’t become your whole identity. xo

Gal you need to go on dates before you’re officialLH together! I’m not sure if there’s some cultural thing I’m missing here but dating can be just a casual daytime event in a public place with the goal of getting to know each other a little better. Think of it as lunch with a friend if that helps you reduce the pressure and expectations for it. You can’t enter a relationship without even knowing someone. Good luck xo

Men low of lower status change their location such that they are of immediate higher status (white man, US citizenship etc etc). You have no trouble getting dates, then what happens? Do they fizzle out? Do they not seem serious? Do you not like them? What is it that happens after these dates. I think that’s an important factor. You also point out that you’re aiming to date to sort of men that are highly coveted by other women. Once you get up to those top percentages, lots of other things start to come in to play. Things like what private school did you go to? Is your job prestigious or respectable? What do you parents do…

I’m not sure in terms of the breast implants etc but if you make such a massive change then it needs to be for YOU, not for anyone else. A lot of men don’t like implants either, it’s personal taste. So it’s a personal decision for you xo

Some men like a bit of sass but it sounds like your ex-friend was more like just demeaning? I’m not sure. Hard to apply to your own situation but I would ask a friend that you trust who has a healthy relationship for some feedback about your dating etc xo
/r/RedPillWomen04/10/22 10:56 PM

All my friends are female. I’m just saying we all have a right to take ourselves seriously, but we can’t force others to. He clearly doesn’t take her “born again virginity” seriously because he keeps trying physical things. She should move on and try find someone who does, I just think it’s going to be a hard sell.
/r/RedPillWomen04/10/22 10:38 PM
2

I agree. OP neither of you are virgins, like you’ve literally had sex multiple times, and now you won’t even kiss him, under the guise of some Christian values. That’s fine and that’s your choice, I’m just not sure men would take this or you seriously.
/r/RedPillWomen04/10/22 09:34 AM

Just concentrate on being feminine and stop worrying about others.
/r/RedPillWomen03/10/22 01:27 AM

He’s too old for this kind of nonsense.

Personally not for me but I’m quite conservative.
/r/RedPillWomen01/10/22 10:41 PM

IMO this is the age when slight age differences really come into play. Most 27yo guys don’t want to settle down yet. Three years to think about moving in together? That would be a nope from me. I broke up with my long term boyfriend aged 26 because he wanted “more time” and I didn’t want to give it to him. You could stick around but it’s risky, what if he turns around and says actually no I changed my mind and you’re 33?
/r/RedPillWomen01/10/22 10:40 PM

I can understand where you are coming from and I agree that marriage involves ongoing negotiations. I just wonder how he feels though? You want the dynamic to change, but how does he feel about that? Does he want to work more? Does he share your views? Not sure if his field but my Dad is a tenured professor and has quite a good salary with a lot of perks, but aside from writing some textbooks and getting royalties from that it seemed his scope to make more was a bit limited.
/r/RedPillWomen29/09/22 11:44 PM
5

I get the sentiment behind it but what’s the logistics of this? If you earn more and suddenly stop working how and CAN he even make that up? Does he even want to do this?
/r/RedPillWomen29/09/22 09:44 PM
2

Are they somewhat paired up with the girls that are coming? If so that’s a problem. If it’s just a group trip then I would t be too bothered. Where is the trip to? x
/r/RedPillWomen29/09/22 05:07 AM
1

Lol fair enough. He probably doesn’t think you’re 18 tbh, but maybe thinks you’re younger than you are. Just bite the bullet and pop it into conversation if you’re that worried. If he’s like “wow okay I thought you were younger” don’t make it a big thing, just be like nope I’m 29, then move the convo onwards.
/r/RedPillWomen27/09/22 11:10 PM
10

You’re fixated on age because your ex was a creep (sorry but him going for 18yo sounds predatory). Can I ask how his age came up in convo but yours didn’t? Just bring it up naturally in convo and see how he reacts
/r/RedPillWomen27/09/22 07:31 PM

Men are really good at talking about serious things (marriage, kids etc) in a jokey, positive and seemingly genuine way. It doesn’t mean anything aside from the fact they are trying to not be a red flag by saying straight up no. The real test is whether they will talk about it in concrete rather than abstract terms. It’s disappointing your partner won’t but you need to think of yourself. Get your health on track and start some prenatal supps x

Keep strong and know your worth! I know it’s hard when you’re really into someone but if he won’t give you a proper relationship then what’s in it for you? If he tries anything say sorry you don’t do that stuff outside of a relationship. You sound sensible and like you’ve got your head screwed on Xoxox

I think having a Plan B is important though? And probably a Plan C and Plan D? Just give it a shot OP, work for what you want then make the best with what you get. I also have a history of anxiety so I feel I can understand some of what you’re saying. Hang in there.
/r/RedPillWomen18/09/22 10:54 PM

He sounds young and immature. Hot and cold. He probably likes you but if he won’t commit then what’s the point. Absolutely DO NOT sleep with an ex, I think this is so important. I’ve never seen it go well. They don’t respect you and sex is a boyfriend privilege that he no longer has access to. I wouldn’t kiss him either tbh unless you can do it without it messing with your feelings. xo
/r/RedPillWomen16/09/22 11:46 PM

Transplants! Lol love it. Good point, I went to school and University in a different state so I would be considered a transplant too. Some groups do seem rather cliquey, my husband seems to have made friends through work etc but they’re all men xo

Some babies maybe do view their nanny as a primary attachment? Does it really matter? As long as they feel loved and they are cared for that’s the most important thing. Some women quite simply have to work, and they do the best they can when they’re home. I do agree there is way too much mummy guilt that society puts onto women.
/r/RedPillWomen15/09/22 11:45 AM

Thanks for your reply I appreciate your info. I had a Singaporean friend who told me of a similar situation in her home country. I suppose I just found the post a bit defeatist and wondered about the validity of the claim. In reading further I see that OP has social anxiety and perhaps this is the root of the problem.
/r/RedPillWomen15/09/22 02:46 AM
2

I am familiar with attachment theories. Unless you’re with the baby 24/7, they will become attached in some way with whoever is around them. To what degree who knows? There’s no point fretting about something that can’t be proven or disproven.
/r/RedPillWomen15/09/22 02:44 AM

Of course the child will be attached to the nanny. Does it really matter? Working mothers have to accept that and just make the most of their time with their child.

I question what exam you sit that a fail would mean you’re banned from doing anything in your country?! Are you talking about final year high school?

Replying to myself but literally just triggered thinking about this now lol. One job I had, the two junior doctors were myself (I would say conventionally attractive in terms of western views) and my collegue who was undisputedly extremely attractive, especially her pretty face. Straight away the nurses made fictitious complaint after complaint about us, to the point where we got called in for a meeting. My colleague asked for examples of events, and HR couldn’t really give any. It was so toxic …
/r/RedPillWomen14/09/22 02:48 AM

Yup. I’m a female physician (now in private practice in the community) but in my hospital years the only bullying I got was from women, mainly nurses.

I’m millennial not Gen Z, and not sure how old you are, but honestly just let him pay. If he asks you in the date, and he should imo, then he pays. You reciprocate by showing your appreciation and thanking him genuinely. Then you pay for the ice cream afterwards or something else. I feel like feminism has forced things to be “equal” too much. The dynamics of dating should be that he asks, and suggests a venue/restaurant, you make an effort with your appearance and be good company, you both get t…

You’re late to the game and I dare say this seems more motivated by age and biological clock than anything else. Men are attune to this “switch” that occurs at this age. However, you’ve changed your tune and you have a right to take charge of how your life will look moving forwards. IMO you need to communicate with him, not all at once because that will seems a bit extreme, but just simply and factually how you feel about marriage etc. If he’s not on board with fertility then I suggest freezing …

I agree re a grace period. This “epiphany” all sounds good on paper, but you’re not out of the woods yet. Watch his behaviour closely in terms of him making short and long term plans he actually sticks to. Good luck xo

Straight up facts. Be careful who you keep in your inner circle. I’ve found that surrounding myself with similar value women is better, not because I’m shallow, but because I got sick of the BS lowkey cut downs and snide remarks xo

Why has he “ruined” anything? Sounds like he set a good example for you. Now if you want to attract a high value man then you have to be high value yourself, so focus your efforts on that. I have huge respect for my father and was very picky with my dating and married a man with similarities to my dad actually lol. xo

Lots of men date for fun. He probably enjoys your company, perks of having a gf, and regular sex. But he’s made himself clear and I think you need to process this and move on xo

Wth. “How to deal with being sidelined?”. Umm…stop being the sort of woman who gets sidelined. You can’t bully your way into not being sidelined lol. That post has real Female Incel vibes to me

Some men, especially assertive ones, can border on being controlling at times. Its okay you just need to set boundaries xo

Interesting post. My partner and I would both be self sufficient, with outsourcing as required, but we would struggle more. For example my husband doesn’t cook, but of course he can feed himself if I wasn’t around. I struggle with doing paperwork and finances, but I did somehow do this stuff before I met him. I think it’s normal in a partnership to slot into your niche xo
/r/RedPillWomen18/08/22 10:14 PM

I personally never liked large age gap relationships and I see them as a good plan b option for women who can’t get a high quality man in their own age bracket.

I’m a millennial and assuming OP is Gen Z and wow things have changed a lot just in my time! OP I really think you need to have your own job and interests, for yourself but also he will respect you more. Don’t be a housewife until you’re an actual wife. If you don’t want to work then something at university so you have a qualification. xo
/r/RedPillWomen28/06/22 10:34 PM

Thanks for the advice! Sounds like you handed that well, congrats! I guess I just want to avoid being one of those “young acting” immature women, but keep myself with a fresh and open demeanour. My outward appearance and clothing style has always been age appropriate, so I feel like it must be my demeanour or speech.
/r/RedPillWomen27/06/22 01:13 AM

Thanks for the tips! Yes I’m really looking forward to motherhood, have some severe male infertility issues so could be a whole yet sadly. That’s a good point about being “fresh”! I want to be fresh and optimistic but not immature.

If you try “ban” your husband from porn I think most modern men will just look at it behind your back. We need to pick our battles and honestly this is one my husband and I just don’t discuss xo
/r/RedPillWomen13/06/22 12:39 AM

I think men watch it online and their friends seem to be having it so they want it so they don’t feel like they are missing out. I’m not sure they’re that keen though? I don’t know. My hubby made me try once and we were both like meh and didn’t again xo

Honestly go see a personal stylist and a makeup consultant who picks your colour pallete. Best money I ever spent! Now I know how to dress and apply makeup in a way that flatters me xo
/r/RedPillWomen06/06/22 10:14 PM
2

Have you seen a dermatologist? You might have rosacea. Go see a MD specialising in skin. I had to do a course of roacc and laser treatments and now I don’t even have to wear makeup. Trust me there’s light at the end of the tunnel. I can relate to the skin issues it’s hard on the self esteem and not feeling pretty xo
/r/RedPillWomen03/06/22 11:58 PM
2

“Traumatised”?!?! as he saw you with glasses? Sorry but what a pussy, needs to man tf up tbh. Onto your self esteem, is there something in particular about your appearance that bothers you? I used to feel the same without makeup but really it was because my skin was bad, so then I fixed my skin and therefore needed less makeup then my anxiety went away. xo
/r/RedPillWomen03/06/22 10:16 PM
12

Honestly just act as “normal” as you can on a first date tbh. Drinking loads of sugary liquids does not give off a good first impression. It’s not stifling who you are, example I love chewing gum and sometimes I even blow bubbles lol but I would certainly not do that on a date because it’s just weird. If you need to be hydrated as you put it then drink before you arrive. Also if he’s paying then any kind of “over ordering” is rude.
/r/RedPillWomen03/06/22 10:10 PM

Peter Alexander (Australian brand) is always cute and good quality xo
/r/RedPillWomen03/06/22 10:06 PM

I honestly think this is a very difficult dynamic to manage long term as I’ve seen men become resentful and feel emasculated, aside from some “modern” men who seem to get a kick out of being taken care of. As long as it’s short term, go for it. Don’t overcompensate and praise and give encouragement about every single he does because that seems like he’s a child. Talk about his day, what he did, admire his handwork. Keep your talk about finances as limited as possible.
/r/RedPillWomen02/06/22 02:59 AM
9

I wouldn’t overthink it. Of course women (and most men) lose their looks as they age. All you can do is maximise your appearance and focus on being a well rounded and interesting person with hobbies and a fulfilling life.Xo
/r/RedPillWomen30/05/22 10:34 PM
2

It will def increase the pool of men who are attracted to you! Congrats on getting out of that relationship xo
/r/RedPillWomen30/05/22 05:53 AM
3

It’s true. Until they get a bit older. I was considered boring and nerdy and quiet in my teens, also I was stick thin. Surprised as I got older and remained the same, suddenly men were throwing themselves at me. They got tired of “easy” women and apparently having a gf or wife who is studious, polite and quiet, suitable to meet the parents, and a willowy figure is now suddenly wife material lol. You’re just underrated like I was imo xo
/r/RedPillWomen25/05/22 05:31 AM

I think you have identified you have “daddy issues” and that needs to be addressed rather than just blindly letting it affect your dating choices. Ideally a man of similar age or up to five years older is the healthiest imo. xo
/r/RedPillWomen24/05/22 09:29 PM
1

Through a friend! I totally recommend this approach, tell your friends that you’re actively single and looking. My friend mentioned me to her colleague and showed me a photo, and the rest is history lol. It feels weird at first but don’t be shy is all I can suggest! xo
/r/RedPillWomen22/05/22 11:21 PM
4

I met my now hubby in my late twenties! It’s a different dating field and if you want a similar aged man then you’re competing with all the 24 year olds. My only advice is, it’s completely doable, you just need to date with purpose, and maximise your appearance etc. You literally have to be the best version of yourself physically you can be. xo
/r/RedPillWomen22/05/22 05:47 AM
13

I think it depends how “slutty” we are talking. If you genuinely were pretty bad, then that’s not something you can just turn off overnight. You really need to examine why you were like that, and work on yourself. xo
/r/RedPillWomen22/05/22 05:23 AM
1

I respectfully disagree with this. I see many women try marry a guy they think is, and try keep, “down” in a sense. Like “oh he’s shy and never goes out and never even notices other women lololol”…I’ve seen it backfire. Once they do get access to a beautiful woman, and it will happen in some way shape or form, they’re like a kid in a candy store and can’t control themselves because they aren’t used to it. Need a man who is more worldly imo.
/r/RedPillWomen17/05/22 01:48 AM
1

Are you attracted to him? It doesn’t sound like you are. You’re so young honestly I would find someone else you are a better match with xo
/r/RedPillWomen17/05/22 01:41 AM
2

I think you’ve identified your problem. You’re reaching too high, and also you need to work on your self esteem. I’ve seen women pair up with and indeed marry men outside of their league, but these women are very agreeable, pleasant, kind, maximised their appearance, and consciously make up for their “deficiency” by improving themselves. So you can do that or you can lower your expectations xox
/r/RedPillWomen16/05/22 09:21 PM

My husband is a lawyer and very opinionated lol. Not to stereotype but it’s true. He’s toned it down over the years and learning that he can’t negotiate people out of their feelings or opinions. It’s just a certian personality type tbh xo
/r/RedPillWomen16/05/22 09:08 PM
17

I mean you can stay with him, but you have a preview of what your life will be like. Are you willing to accept that?
/r/RedPillWomen15/05/22 10:55 PM

Wow. So true actually.
/r/RedPillWomen11/05/22 10:05 AM

Yes. I was brought up very strict Catholic which I have mixed feelings about, and my husband is Protestant. He goes to church and I go with him sometimes. I am happy for him to lead in this regard and also with our future children xo
/r/RedPillWomen11/05/22 10:03 AM

It’s never been my cup of tea. A few women seem to have had casual things and not care at all, enjoy themselves, and then have serious boyfriends and husbands. Other women seem to become jaded and I can tell it’s affected their whole view of relationships and themselves. I like to sleep with people I’m in love with and I’ve only loved a couple of people so that’s been it for me and I’m happy with that xo

Another doctor post!!! I can’t cope with this. I’m def going to compile an advice post on the topic as a female physician I feel it’s my duty lol. Girl honestly, he doesn’t even have a career. Why are you with him? First red flag. Let alone all the others. Ditch him and find someone more compatible xo
/r/RedPillWomen22/04/22 02:51 AM

It’s just a lifestyle ideology. I personally think feminism has come so far that many women have forgotten common sense. Abstract ideas about things don’t change the biological reality of life. I think RPW is for women who enjoy the traditional dual gender roles (and in this I would include trans women etc or indeed anyone who identifies as a woman). If women are happy behaving like men then all the more power to them and good luck.
/r/RedPillWomen21/04/22 10:39 PM

Lol maybe there is! I think there’s a few physicians on here, maybe we should band together and write a post on the topic.

100% agree with all of this! Thanks for sharing. Honestly I’m disheartened by the amount of posts about girls wanting to do medicine but feeling hesitant. I can relate to some of the hesitation (time commitment etc) but finding a husband and suitable partners I have actually found easier because I’m a doctor!
/r/RedPillWomen20/04/22 07:12 PM

Completely agree. I’m a female physician and married to a HVM, I’ve had no trouble attracting high quality men who are attracted to the empathy within the profession. My hubby loves having me looking after him when he’s sick. I now choose my own hours which is very family friendly.

A better appearance isn’t just about sex, it’s also about being more presentable to his friends and collegues and boss and family. It presents him in a better light that he can get a nice looking woman. So I think yes you should see some improvement in that regard.

Absolutely!!! I’m married now but I had a LT relationship at college and when I was getting ready to go visit him for a date or whatever (he lived at a nearby dorm) I would usually put a skirt and top and do my hair etc, nothing special honestly would take 15mins, but I would obvi change out of my ugly shorts or tracksuit I was wearing to study haha, and I got so many comments in my dorms like I was doing something wrong!? “It’s so weird you always DRESS UP to go see him” like wtf I just wanna l…

I dislike the notion that women are allowed to have choices, but men seemingly aren’t. A man doesn’t want to date you and politely indicates this? Obviously now he’s a man baby, commitment phobe, arsehole, probably gay, clearly something wrong with him, total loser. A woman doesn’t want to date a guy cos he’s short? lol fair enough kween you deserve the best.

I used to but when I got serious with my now hubby our relationships became way less close. I CBF putting energy into men that aren’t my husband or family lol! I’m friends with my girlfriends partners. I have gay male friends. I dunno it just turned out this way xo

I think four months in is most certainly acceptable time to assess your exclusivity. I’m out of the dating game (lol I met my husband 8 years ago) but I’m surprised that women are willing to be intimate with a man for four months without even knowing if he sleeps with other women!!!! He’s out out some good signs but also maybe he just likes having you around. It’s hard to say. In my previous relationships it has been the man who has brought up the exclusivity of us and they just said it in a sim…

As a former very slim person (BMI 17), it doesn’t look cute once you’re over 30 (my BMI now is 22). When you’re young the baby fat in your face hides the gauntness and looks great with a slim body. I think she’s a little underweight and might look younger with a bit more weight on her face. There’s a famous quote about choosing your “fanny or your face” but I forget who said that!

I’m maybe 60-70% trad. I grew up in a very trad Catholic family with parents who are still together and have traditional roles (I went to a strict Catholic school for girls). It’s worked well for them and so that’s been something I’ve internalised. I respect men, I’m happy being a woman. I’m also used to men and understand them, in that I have three older brothers and a dad I have a good relationship with. My friends are all women, my interests are feminine. I don’t smoke or take drugs or anythi…

You realise many women lie about their sexual past right? I always find it amusing when men think they have outright access to this information and that a woman who has a “past” will live a lonely and rejected life. I personally grew up Catholic in a very strict household and have lived a very trad life. I am married. But I have girlfriends from college who have married and I’m almost 100% certain the men don’t know every detail about their sexual past.

Love goggles are def a thing. Get a man to love you when you’re young and beautiful and he will always see you that way. I personally feel like men struggle to fall in love when you’re older because they never knew you/saw you at your best. Just my opinion/ observation xo

I think you need to figure out exactly what you want from him and let that inform your behaviour. You want to be his girlfriend? Start acting like a girlfriend and have higher expectations for yourself including not just overnight stays etc. If he doesn’t respond then that’s your answer. Ps. Also sorry to sound cynical but I would verify that he is actually a doctor, I’m a physician myself and there are apparently a lot of men out there pretending to be doctors to pick up women and excuse their …

Oh I completely agree, don’t get me wrong! I think you are doing a lot. Which is why I’m wondering why it is he has this idea that he’s “financially supporting” you? That’s only something you can discuss with him. xo
/r/RedPillWomen22/03/22 08:17 AM
2

Have you asked him how it is that he perceives he is “financially supporting” you? Like does he have concrete examples? Because it sounds like go me that you earn a lot less, but you do all of the chores etc. Do you sense that he’s resentful of your lower income? I’m sorry this is happening, it could be a good opportunity to talk about where things are going etc though xo

Good comment, I agree. I’m a physician and the amount of women I see who blame their weight on some sort of “hormonal imbalance” or “thyroid problem” is disheartening, even when I turn my computer and literally show them their bloodwork and say here’s the proof it’s not. I do find male patients far more realistic eg. “Yeah I drink too much beer” and “Yeah I eat fish and chips like every second day lol” but of course society doesn’t judge men for obesity so there is more freedom to be real xo

How much would rent be if you weren’t living with him? You gotta pay rent either way so I think a fair amount is reasonable. The separate question is whether you want to pay above that, and be named on the mortgage? That’s something you need to discuss with him in the context of where your relationship is going xo
/r/RedPillWomen22/03/22 01:15 AM
3

Do yo have an idea of his finances? Or is this just some unilateral interest he has going on? From what you’ve said it sounds like he’s uncomfortable with your modelling work and also wondering whether it extends to “extras” like being a sugar baby etc. Are you studying at uni? Perhaps focus on that a bit more and your plans for the future when talking with him xo

Good question! I have no idea. I’ve just never heard men compliment each other unless maybe it’s a sporting achievement or a promotion and that’s more of a “congrats” type comment. I agree I don’t compliment men who aren’t family or my partner xo
/r/RedPillWomen09/03/22 11:01 PM
15

I agree with this. I feel like there’s an increasing movement of young women who “want something for nothing” rather than realising that taking on such a traditional role is actually hard work. I also find that modern men are happier with a woman who works at least somewhat, then maybe stops when they have kids xo

Not foolproof but find out what their mother did/does. I find men with mums who stayed at home are much more option to it, especially if their family is still intact and worked well. I agree re Aussie female fashion! I’m always a little surprised to see American girls wearing baggy tracksuits or tights with baggy shirts etc. we def wear more form fitting clothes here including lots of dresses and skirts, and pastel colours. Source: been to east and west coast several times and also the Deep South. Also the US exchange students at my university seemed to dress similar to the boys in tracksuit sets etc. nothing wrong with that of course just way less feminine.

I agree re this. I can’t imagine what body type looks better naked/tight clothing than in well fitted/tailored clothes. The only exception might be those very hourglass shapes (Christina Hendricks, Kim K) who if they don’t cinch in at the waist they just look “bigger” overall. I also feel like tight clothing can actually make bigger girls look bigger. Either way OP you have identified you need to lose weight and ultimately that’s the answer to your problems. xo

Thanks for the reply and insightful thoughts! Yes I agree I do think some of it is personal preference though. Agreed but surely it’s def an orange flag, something that needs to be investigated further. Is the man impulsive, ie. did they marry on a whim? If his ex was so horrible then why is he attracted to toxic women? Is he even telling the truth about the demise of his marriage? In your twenties you can afford to be more picky. If I was early thirties and still single then I would have accepted divorced men. Later in my thirties I would accept men with kids. Luckily for me I met my hubby in my mid to …

Maximise what you have and just accept that’s how the cookie crumbles. Men aren’t complete ogres, if you have a good loving relationship with your partner and treat him well and look after yourself, the wall is irrelevant. Of course men notice attractive younger women but who cares honestly Xoxox

There’s a difference between (1)not meeting appropriate men and (2)meeting them but they aren’t interested, and you allude to both in your post. If your appearance is on point and you’re meeting men you would like to proceed with, but they aren’t interested, there might be something off putting or awkward or u pleasant about your personality or behaviours. It’s hard to say. Do you have a friend or family member you trust who would give you real feedback? xo

I had one serious long term relationship and I think it helped me with relationship skills etc. Ps. So much of it depends on your industry, flexibility, salary, partners job, family support, child factors (some kids need extra help etc). We don’t have kids yet, currently TTC, but we are def keeping an open mind about how things will unfold. Some guys are so clingy imo. Like men go on about the clingyness of women but let’s talk about the stage five clinger that is an orbiter man who won’t accept you are in a new relationship!!!! I learnt this the hard way so all I can suggest is making it clear to them that you see them only platonically. Talk about men you are interested in and going on a date with. He will get the message and if he doesn’t then just do a respectful fade away. Invest more in your female friendships. xo

Either or. I just think there’s a cycle that feedback loops itself between him being passive IRL and being a porn addict. I didn’t state my opinion was the only one so settle down lol.
/r/RedPillWomen09/02/22 09:40 AM

Addictions are problematic and will end up affecting your relationship in ways you haven’t even imagined. The fact that he’s so shy and timid is likely fueled by the fact that he’s so addicted to porn, ie. porn makes him feel manly so he doesn’t have to be IRL because he’s already satiated elsewhere. You and your partner should be doing things for eachother. It’s not a good dynamic to feel like someone is keeping receipts or tabs on what they do for you. Do you feel that he reciprocates? I pack my hubby’s lunch and organise many of his appointments etc, while he often brings me food or picks up things from the store he knows I need or gives me/books me massages when I’m stressed. It’s all about reciprocating xo

I think it’s fine i just think the question is WHY you have never had a relationship? I think you need to examine that. Also just be careful because relationships take skill, including communication skills, compromising, conflict resolution, etc etc. I find that some people who haven’t had relationships lack these skills through lack of experience thus making it harder to get and keep a relationship xo

Just tell him your financial situation. He sounds stingy, I’m getting the sense that younger men are becoming more like this though? For reference I’m only a few years older than him though lol xo
/r/RedPillWomen18/01/22 11:02 AM

Yes some things that my girlfriends tell me about their marriages or whatever I consider “women’s business” and he doesn’t need to know xo
/r/RedPillWomen16/01/22 12:46 AM

Some men who are busy with work etc want a woman to organise things for them in their personal life and that is quite normal. Just be careful it’s not a dynamic that you fall into all the time, and make sure you give him opportunities to demonstrate he’s actually interested xo

I mean, I did it. It definitely can be done. You just have to keep up your A-game with your fitness and appearance etc and accept that other women will always throw themselves at your husband xo
/r/RedPillWomen12/01/22 07:09 AM

Some women date down because they think the man will forever pander to them and love them and never leave, and from what I’ve seen it never works out because the man becomes resentful and feels insecure. Date at your own level, or above xo

If you’re also working full time then I honestly recommended getting a cleaner if you can afford it. I still enjoy cooking and decorating and tidying etc but now hubby and I spend time to whether instead of cleaning on our time off. xo

This. I grew out my hair really long before my wedding when I was 29 and men couldn’t stop staring at it. I even had a few interstate colleagues I hadn’t seen in about a year say oh you’ve grown your hair! and gaze at it admiringly. Good luck with your newfound dating success! xo

Honestly there’s a lot of middle ground between private school and homeschooling, I kind of got whiplash reading that. In my opinion, just find a nice local state school. I am personally against the idea of a parent playing too many roles for their child “parent”, “teacher”, “friend”. I don’t think it’s healthy for them xo

Being efficient and having some practicality about you. These aren’t totally “masculine” as such but I think can get overlooked when considering femininity. For example my grandmother could fix anything with her sewing kit and machine. Shirt got a rip? No problem hand it over and it’s fixed right there. I recently fixed some buttons (easy I know lol) on my husbands fave shirt before work and he was so happy and admiring. xo
/r/RedPillWomen23/10/21 11:29 AM

Yes. I’ve fluctuated between weights and so has my best friend. The attention, admiration, and general happiness that men have around you when you’re slimmer and looking good is actually alarming. But it is what it is, that’s how the world works and it took me a long time to accept that xo
/r/RedPillWomen23/10/21 11:24 AM

Just give positive feedback when he acts manly, and neutral or ignore when he’s being feminine. He will figure it out xo

Thanks for your advice and for taking the time to reply. Some solid gems there. Perhaps I have omitted too many details but she really is a bully and I don’t think finally standing up to her and asking her to be more reflective of how she speaks to me is out of line.
/r/RedPillWomen09/10/21 07:39 PM

That’s solid advice Thankyou. It’s too late though as I already asked her to be a little more mindful of how she speaks to me and she completely blew up and we haven’t spoken since. xo

Thanks for the reply. Yeah she is a bit of a party girl and I feel like she resents those of us who have moved on and have relationships and babies etc. I will make more proactive effort with my friends thanks for the tip xoxox

Thanks for your reply and sharing your story. How did you feel afterwards? That’s solid advice thanks. I have been doing that, and all the other women have been actively reaching out to me to organise things etc so I feel quite supported in that way. I def need to be more active about it though. I’ve probably been too passive in the past, and I wondered if me not saying anything about the situation will work against me. xo
/r/RedPillWomen06/10/21 09:54 PM

Thanks for the reply! I agree it is a toxic friendship. At this point, and in recent times, I don’t think I’ve gotten anything from the friendship. In the past, when we were younger and life was easier, we probably connected more on a “fun” level. I’m not sure why I’ve allowed her, and potentially others in my life, to treat me like this but that’s something I’m working on xo

I think this is an interesting question. I grew up with only older brothers so I feel quite comfortable in male company, but mostly all my friends are female. I think making male friends is very “easy” especially if you’re a good looking female lol. It doesn’t require a lot of social skills. Navigating female friendships is much more complex but can also be much more rewarding. I think it’s good to expand your circle to include both men and women. I can’t speak for men’s views on the topic, but …

The era of the hot dumb trophy wife has long passed. Well educated and successful men these days expect a woman to have some credentials behind her imo.

I’m a female physician too. Thanks for your post, I totally agree. My husband likely isn’t “turned on” by my job lol but it’s more like he respects my work and the study and effort I’ve put into it. He’s a partner at his law firm and his previous girlfriends were also similarly educated xo

I think women should be able to do whatever they want re work/homemaking and that’s what the essentially message behind feminism should be. It’s about women having choices and others respecting that. I have NEVER heard a man say something negative about a woman being a homemaker, it’s is only from other women. Pretty sad tbh.
/r/RedPillWomen08/07/21 12:12 AM

What has he done/what is he doing that makes you lose respect?
/r/RedPillWomen12/06/21 11:11 PM

In all honesty, some men will filter you out on that basis. Men of particular standing in society and men who have a very functional and close relationship with their family in particular might take issue with it. All you can do is focus on being your best self and learning from your past situation and how it may have shaped and affected you so that you don’t make the same decisions. That shows good insight and strength of character and that’s an attractive thing xoxox

I’m a millennial and I am beginning to wonder what on earth is wrong with Gen Z tbh. Do Gen Z guys even like femininity!?

/r/RedPillWomen11/06/21 11:13 PM

Women have strength! You can be strongly and gentle at the same time. My grandmother was the perfect English rose, very gentle and feminine, kind and warm. But also had a steady sense of strength and reserve about her. She didn’t lose her cool and she didn’t yell at my granddad or her kids. She was a nurse in WW2 and saw a lot of terrible things but still remained nurturing and gentle. So don’t discount “strength”! xo

Are you overweight now? If you’re genuinely overweight and unhealthy and he’s expressing a preference for this then I would be a bit suspicious. If you’re just curvier and he’s expressing a preference then that’s good xo

Men deny this but so much of when and who they settle down with is timing in my opinion. If everyone else is settling down and they’ve had their fun etc then they will often marry the girl they’re with then. So where do you think he is in terms of his timing? xo
/r/RedPillWomen01/06/21 03:59 AM

Don’t take this the wrong way, but if what you say is correct and he really is out of your league, I’ve noticed that some men prefer such a pairing. Just accept that he’s chosen you and focus on yourself and your relationship xoxo

It’s hard to say but there must be something about you in person that is either off-putting to men or just completely lacking in charm/allure. Do you have a good friend or family member you could ask for genuine feedback? xo

I’m a physician and you need to remember that the first step is actually getting into med school. It’s not even an option until you have an offer. As for your age? I think it’s totally okay, you’re still in your twenties and that’s the time to make decisions and changes! xo

I’m a physician. What sort of profession was your partner in if you don’t mind me asking? Honestly just go for men who “out rank” you in terms of career and earnings in my opinion. My husband is partner of a law firm and because we are in different fields there’s no sense of “competition” as such and he absolutely outearns me. I also only work four days a week which is great for mine and his work/life balance. Hang in there, residency is tough xoxox

I would never ask a man his sexual partner count, and I don’t know my husbands. But there’s been a handful of extremely promiscuous men in my social circles over the years and I’ve never been attracted to them. I prefer men who seek out more meaningful connections I guess, as it’s more similar to my own values. A guy who spent his entire twenties picking up two different girls each weekend doesn’t differ from me just in sexuality, but likely other values and outlook too xo

I don’t think anybody should fake anything, but I do think it’s worth trying to be as “well rounded” a person as possible and exploring all aspects of your personality. I also dislike this trend of people feeling they have to be an introvert or an extrovert, like honestly most people have a bit of both in them. Try not to limit yourself by labels xo
/r/RedPillWomen16/04/21 10:01 PM

Agree with above suggestions about how to approach this. But I think you also need to consider why he has the views he does? Does he get on with your family? Is he threatened by their normalacy compared to his own? If you genuinely feel that being closer to them would bring you happiness and support, especially if you or when you have children then this is really worth exploring. Re the second issue, my husband also has a dysfunctional family and he used to get very anxious and irritated around …

I honestly think as women we overthink things too much. There’s nothing to decode here, he wants something casual but also senses that you want something more serious. Those two views are obviously incompatible so he’s leaving the door open for you to say so and bail, or to keep things going in the hope he might get something casual.
/r/RedPillWomen14/04/21 04:50 AM

I don’t think we need to over-intellectualise it, you just get what’s called oneitis for these guys. It’s normal, but something to try and be aware of so you don’t smother them xo

I think your message is good. But don’t be defeatist! OP maximise your happiness, appearance and lifestyle and get out there dating. My best friend met and moved in with her beautiful partner and she’s 36 (35 when they met). You’re still within the fertility window. Good luck xoxox

You’re still working in the sex industry but want him to be monogamous to you and no other sex workers. Girl I think you’re going to have a very hard time demanding monogamy given your current line of work. IMO quit your job cos this is just a double standard otherwise xo
/r/RedPillWomen02/04/21 08:48 PM

I think love bombing and dread are techniques that work on the deep down fears of women, which is dysfunctional. I believe the female alternative is is the “damsel in distress”, woman who needs “saving” trope which I’ve seen women use before to try snare a man xo
/r/RedPillWomen26/03/21 10:18 PM

I think it’s okay, but cleaning his apartment that you don’t live in might be a bit much (a bit of tidying is fine). You want him to see your place and enjoy how lovely and tidy and nice it is by comparison so he can compare it to his in his mind xo
/r/RedPillWomen26/03/21 10:16 PM

Living my life with a more “traditional” dynamic with my husband which is more about the qualities and energy we bring to the table. It’s about recognising that men and women are different, and being complementary to eachother in that regard. For me it’s about enjoying being a woman. I personally don’t think career has anything to do with it, although it’s brought up a lot on this sub. xo
/r/RedPillWomen26/03/21 10:13 PM

I’m a dermatologic surgeon and I consider myself very feminine thankyou very much lol! I’m not sure I agree with your conception of male and female energy. Some modern men have become quite feminine, and they might pair well with a masculine woman. Good for them, someone has to wear the pants in the relationship. It’s not my personal preference nor that of the people on this subgroup.

It wouldn’t work for me. I’m quite independent and have my own career and money, but I want a man who can lead and I have found it cringey when I’ve met me. who want to be bossed around and dominated. Not for me! My husband is like this and it has many advantages of course, but you’ve asked specifically for issues with it so here’s my experience: -other women will flirt with them/want them. you can’t hate them for it. There’s no harm in being sensible about things, ie. don’t hire a young live-in au pair who looks like a supermodel lol, but to actively have to mate guard your partner signifies to me that potentially there’s a lack of boundaries with the mans behaviour xo

I think it totally depends on the person and your “weakness” as such with food. Some people over eat, so portion control is good for them. I tend to snack, like if I actually add up my usual meals PLUS all the snacks I have I’m really surprised, so I made a no snacking rule for myself. I don’t calorie count but if I eat something very heavy one day I will consciously eat light the next day. Seems to work for me. One been here for a couple of years and I felt there’s a lot more combative comments and sarcasm lately. I also agree there’s been more women with a career focus, which I think is fine, RPW is for all women who aspire to traditional values and having a proper degree/career is not at odds with that in 2021. Indeed most high value men want and expect a woman to at least have a bachelors degree these days I find xo

I find these older people, especially men, have the luxury of giving advice in a way that’s never going to affect them. Meaning they can give out advice on the basis of whimsical ideas they have but they don’t have to live through it and also it’s not the choices they made for themselves. So I don’t think your experience is unusual, I think just be aware of it. Like you’re an adult now, you make your own decisions xo

I’m horrified that an 18yo is stressed about this. At this age you should be making friends, working on your studies or career, and focusing on yourself. Of course there is a time when your appearance or desirability will decrease but it’s very much in the future. Focus on yourself, find out who you are, surround yourself with good female friends. Only date men who you could see yourself marrying and whom are committed to you. xo

I think you need to chat to him about this. He’s probably feeling the shock, and like he can’t trust you now. It’s time to have an honest chat and lay down some ground rules, but he also will need time to recover from this xo

Honestly, just get quicker. Prioritise what counts and get faster at your makeup routine. I used to take 45mins to get ready and now I pride myself in being able to do my hair and makeup in 10mins flat in the morning nowadays lol, and people always comment on how “polished” I look. Always have your clothes clean and iron/press them every Sunday for the week ahead to save time. I wash my hair at night and let it air dry, then the next morning I quickly straighten/curl it or put it up (I have fine…

I think ranking highly in one of the departments, ie. face or body, gives you a bit of leeway in the other department. Increasing your body desirability is pretty easy so basically everyone should do that! xo

I never had sex early and it seemed to work well for me. It weeds out the time wasters and players and guys who just aren’t that into you. Also I never understood, like what’s the rush!? (TMI but get a vibrator if you have strong urges). When you’ve spent ages getting to know someone, when you do have sex it’s absolutely amazing. So not really speaking from personal experience, but I’ve seen friends sleep with men really early, then feeling immediately attached afterwards and highly anxious and …

Some guys just want to be babied! Like it’s not that uncommon I find. However, do try have a think back to your relationship and whether you didn’t set enough boundaries and what you might be able to learn from this situation. Left to their own devices I find that lot of guys live fairly wayward lives and rely on a woman for structure. xo

Hi there! Just a question, what are you graduating from? Is it something you’re passionate about? Even the most traditional men want you to have an interest in something. I would say work/University/through friends is the best way to meet guys (if can be hard if your work is female dominated though). I think University is super h a great time to meet guys so I would try be as social as possible for the rest of the year until you graduate xo

I’m married and out of the dating game lol but honestly a first date is kind of like a job interview. I think it’s a bad sign if a guy turns up looking sloppy. It depends what YOU want. I would personally never have children unless I was married and being married was always a priority to me. It’s brought stability and many other good things to my relationship. I have a theory that marriage can change men, they subconsciously become more responsible and stable and committed. (I’m no expert, just from observing my older brothers and my husband etc). His reasons against it are kinda irrelevant if your personal value is to be married, and I think that’s a …

Your husband is too old for you and you’re experiencing the effects of that. That’s the reality, but it’s too late now and you are where you are. Try give your marriage a go and invest more effort and energy. Maybe start doing exercise together? Try rekindle something. I see male flirting as being active and female flirting as being more passive. I could be wrong and old fashioned and out of the dating game as I’m married lol but I think it’s important to not try emulate a man. Men are naturally more aggressive and flirt more outwardly. Hmm. I’m not the best person to comment on this probably as I’ve always had this problem too! I’m married now but I never quite understood flirting. I think if you’re uncomfortable with it then the best approach is to just appear interested and happy and receptive. Eye contact, smiling. Laugh at his jokes. Ask questions, follow up on things he says. Showing a genuine interest is more important, and I think some men are actually actively turned off by overt flirting (touching etc). xo

You have to own it. I dress up more than other women at my work etc and you just have to be confident and own it. If you’re not confident in what you’re wearing then it defeats the purpose. Nobody “has” to do anything. It’s my personality to check in if people need anything, but it’s not a necessity. One simple tip is not doing anything to excess. For example, not drinking to excess, not over-eating, not drinking five cups of coffee a day, not doing huge spending sprees. This could even apply to positive behaviours, like going to the gym or exercising is great, but don’t go for four hours. As a general concept, try be a lady does everything in moderation and who has control over herself xo

Keeping up your appearance is a constant commitment I agree. It’s easy to become lazy and forget. Unless he was a dick beforehand, then I wouldn’t have an issue with it. I put on a lot of weight once and noticed the male attention I got lessened. Then I lost it again and it increased. It made me salty for a while but lol such is life 🤷🏼‍♀️ xo

I’m a physician but my undergrad was in psychological science and I did an honours research year in cognitive neuroscience. Not totally relevant to your question, but sort of. I’m very accepting that there are inherent differences between men and women xo

That’s a good point thanks. My area is pretty safe at the moment but it’s good to be aware and people are quite nervous (rightfully so). Masks and/or standing back from the door is a good idea if we do it in person. xo

Cultural differences can be so funny! My best friend is married to a Swedish man and she says similar things lol. Yes we are Aussie I think we might just have to pop over. I feel so nervous but I’m not sure why haha. We bought the house from a family who had been there for twenty years and the area seems all quite well established families so I feel a bit nervous. Yes definitely! I think that’s a healthy approach. Like my house will probably never be as fabulous as my friends but I enjoy the aesthetic and looking around at things she’s changed since I’ve been there last. I also steal ideas sometimes hehe like I use it as inspo. xo

Yup this is exactly what I’m talking about! Just the constant little comments. Good point though, it could just be from insecurity, like I honestly do not mind what other women’s choices are or how they live their life. Do you think maybe your SMIL is insecure that you’re setting a standard that she thinks her own husband will come to want or something?! Thanks for the reply xo

My main tip is to always do little things as you go. An example is to never walk between rooms with empty hands eg. if you’re walking back to the kitchen then take mugs or a plate or some rubbish with you. When you’re finished your meal or when you see something spilt or where it’s not supposed to be then fix it as soon as you notice it. Otherwise things pile up and become overwhelming. Doing a little bit consistently makes a big difference. Then have a planner as previous posters suggest to org…

Thanks for the reply xo

Hmm interesting concept. I’ve heard this too. But I’ve also heard that men always love and respect the loyalty of a woman who helped them “build”. I think there’s probably an element of truth in both xo

Hi again lovely! Residency is hard (as you know!) and depending on your consultant/attending job afterwards your hours and life could continue to be difficult and your job time-consuming. I think that leaves two options, one, marry a guy in a similar “league” (ugh sorry I hate using that word but cannot think of another), or find someone totally opposite who finds what you do interesting. It sounds like that’s what you want, and that’s great but you will have to sift through a lot of guys who fe…

Hi there! I’m a physician, and I married a lawyer who makes more than I do. All I can suggest is to only look for men in your own income/status bracket. Hi OP! You sound like an insightful and kind girl. I know it’s hard but I think acceptance is really important. It will just take time. Okay so you’re super tall, there ain’t nothing you can do about that fact. It is what it is and your energy is better focused on other aspects of yourself and working on your other attributes that are attractive to a relationship. Some men I think quite like the gangly long-limbed look and I really don’t think you should feel like who have no chance whatsoever. …

Hi OP! I don’t know the answer to this but my best friend is exactly the same. She goes on a date or two with a guy and is immediately obsessed and feels like she’s “in love” with the guy and I have to tell her to calm down and take a step back. Ultimately she comes across as a bit clingy and desperate and men seem to sense this from a mile away and stop seeing her. All I can suggest is to busy yourself with other things/hobbies and let the guy chase you a bit. Men like a bit of mystery. Don’t p…

I think men compartmentalise better than women. So they are married and love their wife, but would totally want to have sex with the hot young thing at work. I also feel that men are secretly particularly sentimental, like they love their wife for their long term loyalty and companionship and are actually way more sentimental than women xo
/r/RedPillWomen04/12/19 10:01 PM

To be fair, I think different women have different charms and they should just work with that. I’m married now, but I never approached men or showed overt interest in them. I think it’s important to be “receptive” to them, and that can mean just smiling, making eye contact, and giving them attention when they’re around. I actually have a theory that whilst most men find it amusing to be perused, they don’t respect it, and especially if they’re a high value man they’re used to women throwing them…

I think it really depends on the man. I’m a physician and my husband is a lawyer. About half of my physician male colleagues are with women who are doctors or teachers or some such, and the other half (generally older generation) have stay at home wives/mothers. I think good quality men want you to have interests/hobbies etc but they might not necessarily mind what exactly. I said something to show “outside of the home”. No need to be defensive. You obviously are in social circles where this is fine and acceptable and that’s a great thing. All the more power to you! Pretty hard to deny that times/expectations are changing though.

Start by accepting that you’re not a victim. My real issue with modern feminism is the constant “victim complex”, like everything is interpreted with a lens as to how women are victims in society xo
/r/RedPillWomen27/10/19 01:16 AM

Hmm yes but did you used to do something? Or train as something in the past? I’m only speaking from my own experience but answers like “oh she’s a teacher but we’ve decided it’s best to have her home with the kids for now” is perceived completely differently to “no she’s a SAHM”. Once again I’m only speaking from my experience and the social circles I’m in, where men’s wives seem to now be expected to at least have something to show for themselves outside of the home xo

From what I’ve seen, modern men want their wives to do something, they don’t care what it is, as long as it’s SOMETHING. Maybe it’s from societal pressure I’m not sure. But I have friends who were always SAHMs and their husbands who were cool with it randomly turn around later and ask when they are going to start doing some work again. Unfortunately I think times have changed somewhat and perhaps men don’t like the comments or judgement by others. People constantly ask my husband now “so what do…

I made a big quiche and a side salad! I had lots of bacon and mushrooms left over from something else and I’m trying to be lest wasteful and use things in the fridge. I added cheese, tomatoes, onion, spinach, eggs and just let it bake. Hubby loved it. It’s actually quite easy and you can just leave it in the fridge or even freeze portions for later! 10/10 recommend xo

Great advice by everyone else. Just popping in to say you need to start becoming emotionally and mentally more independent. Then you need to leave. Ugh some women are so transparent! It’s great your husband sees right through it though. And he’s chosen YOU so that’s all that matters. It is hard ageing as a woman. My aunt was a successful model in the 80s and incredibly beautiful and she essentially had a mental breakdown and never recovered after ageing and losing her looks and career. Going against the grain, but I have no issue with what OP has posted. I know it’s 2019 but can we all stop the facade that a mans wealth/financial stability is not an important factor!? OP all I can say is that best of luck to you, try be as attractive and high value as you can. Trophy wives are “out” and educated but good looking women are “in” as far as modern marriage material goes, so you need to be able to bring something to the table too. As others have said, if you marry purely for money …

I’m an MD and I see my male colleagues pulling the “I don’t have time” card all the time to avoid commitment. If I were you, go and listen to him and be sweet and charming etc, but don’t give him an answer yet. See what he’s offering, if he’s offering a proper relationship, great. If he’s offering vague promises of something more but not in clear terms, then no. He’s probably used to women throwing themselves at him and is just lazy about putting effort into a real relationship. xo

I feel like women make a huge distinction between sex and other sexual behaviours. You’re actually not withholding at all, you’ve had oral intimacy with him, so the withholding sex seems inconsistent to me. Like if you’re willing to do that then why not sex? I would suggest in future that kissing is fine, but if you’re truly withholding or waiting until you’re ready then draw the line at that. Not sure about this guy, but it does seem he’s cooled off immediately after your sex refusal. I think y…

I personally feel that good flirting is different for men and women. I’m married now lol, but I consider feminine flirting to being “receptive” rather than overt. I don’t think touching men you don’t really know is a good idea ever! I think being cute and coy, being a great listener and responsive to what they’re saying, is far better and more effective than proactive flirting which I consider more masculine. Laugh at their jokes, give a nice smile, just simple small things like that. xo

Technically, you can do whatever you want. BUT, and there is a big but, men seem to have their preferences. If you choose to stray outside your mans prefererence and also without consulting him, then it’s kind of at your own risk. I think you should get a toner or dye to make it back to its original colour, and just learn from the experience xo

I went to a girls school and dorms and can totally relate to this fact of life. There will always be women like this. The important thing is to never sink to their level. In a work setting, remain professional. I think sometimes women struggle with “professionalism” because it’s traditionally more from a mans world. We have a tendency to try be friendly and chatty. Remain professional and civil with haters and don’t let them bring you down. In social settings, I know it can be hard but try remain positive and classy. I think it depends what your goals are long term. This is about more than just where you go to University. My husband is in litigation at a magic circle firm and he works literally ALL THE TIME. And in the weekends he works from home. Thanks for your reply, such interesting points. I really agree that we were told by society etc that acting like men would make us happy, but I don’t think it’s true. Also I’m sure your dad just wants the best for you, and he probably thought that would be via an ideology similar to his own. Thanks so much for your comment, I really resonate with what you’ve said. Tv adverts annoy me too, like men have become a joke of sorts. So emasculating for them! Also great points about the shift in focus from romance and personal ambitions, to the celebration of mental illness/instability/chaos and promiscuity. Thanks for sharing your story. Love what you say about combining perfect feminity and effortless and masculinity, and how that’s totally unrealistic. Nobody can be everything. I can totally see that society would give you so much praise and “you go girl” for having your experience, but it’s great that you’ve found some balance and peace in living as a SAHM. xo

Thanks for the comment! So true. I’m a 90s kid and Girl Power back then just meant girls studying science/maths, being sporty, or not feeling too shy to just “have a go” at things. Now apparently it’s punching men in the face, belittling them and cheating on them!!! Gross. xo

Slow cookers are perfect for the same reason. As other posters have said, having things prepped and ready to go is crucial xo

I wouldn’t have dated anyone that I didn’t think I would marry. I had a couple of boyfriends before my husband, and when they weren’t working out or progressing in commitment, I ended them. Sounds like you gave her good advice! Well done. She can only change herself and she sounds like one of those women who is preoccupied with controlling everything around them but not their own behaviour. I think this is me a bit too. It helps to read more about it and reflect about scenarios in your life that it’s affecting. I keep busy and make plans to see my girlfriends and go shopping etc, and have activities outside of my husband! Start slowly, and you will start to feel more secure xo

I know a few women like that and they literally all ended up divorced. Look, what was forgivable or even “cute” when you were a teenager certainly does not work when you’re older. Im a similar age to you and you can definitely be playful and fun, without being a brat. I also personally feel like social media and popular media really glorifies the “crazy but cute”, “sassy” or “broken” woman, and whilst that might garner initial attention from men, less so when we are older and definitely not for …

Hi there. Please don’t despair! I think what you are going through is normal. Daytime dates are great for avoiding these situations. I used to completely avoid casual sex when I was living on college dorms and I had no qualms about it at all. Sometimes on early dates I would just make things up, like say off-handedly that my parents were visiting me early the next morning etc. Lol! Guys know what you’re doing but at the end of the day does it even matter? It’s only awkward if you make it awkward. Most men aren’t pushy, they look for invitations or indicators from you, so …

Such a good post! And totally true. All we can hope for is to look the absolute best we can for our age. I spend a lot of time and money and energy on my appearance and health, but I sure as hell don’t look like I did when I was 19yo. Also many people, particularly men, have asked and guessed my age at work and they always say about 6-8 years younger, but I’m not stupid and I know that this is people trying to be polite and flatter me.xo

I think that men like sexual women, but women who are sexual ONLY for them, and also that they sort of like to “discover” your sexuality rather than having it handed to them on a plate. Issues of life expectancy and prognosis depends on so much. I do unfortunately sometimes see people who use their illness as an excuse for bad behaviour, or exaggerate how bad things are to their family and partners. I understand what you’re saying, but many women do worry about these things and I think that’s natural. Nobody can ultimately control their partner, and all we can do is work on our marriage and hope that things work out. No marriage is 100% safe from cheating, and whilst it’s not healthy to focus on that, it’s also just a reality that should be accepted in my opinion. We can only pick a decent man, do our best, and trust him xo

There’s nothing wrong with finding them attractive, it just depends what you want out of your life at this point moving forwards. These young men are highly unlikely to commit to you, so if that’s what you’re looking for then I would avoid them at all costs. xo

In my humble opinion, based on the way you have spoken on here, you most certainly do come across as a “tough girl”. Perhaps give this some thought if you want to attract a more traditionally minded man. There’s plenty of women in male dominated professions (myself included) who are able to keep this in check, and I agree with previous posters that men may not be as much “intimidated” as just put off.

If you really want one then go for it. However, I’ve been surprised by the majority of men who explicitly do not like tattoos on women. Perhaps they have bad connotations? I’m not sure. Re the scarring. You 100% need to look into laser treatment! I had surgical scars on my ankle from a bad break, I eventually got laser treatment and now they are completely invisible. Worth a thought. (Works best on pale skin, but definitely go see a doctor if you’re interested). xo

With a bit of practice tall women can give off a graceful and elegant vibe! Posture is so important, as is dressing for your body type. Totally agree. It’s this weird societal expectation that people have nowadays where everyone SHOULD achieve as much professionally as they can. Alongside the (largely false) belief that you can “have it all”, I think both these things promote negativity towards a more traditional family unit style. It’s so true, and happening worldwide. I went to a liberal city in Australia (I won’t name it) recently for a week for a wedding, and the men we met were so feminine that I really just felt uncomfortable around them. Hmmm. I’m not sure actually because I always had the opposite “problem”. To be honest though, and I could be wrong, I don’t feel like men actually respect really flirty women. They assume “well she’s flirty with me then she’s flirty with every guy” which is a turn off for them. It may also come across as you being desperate for men’s approval/attention which is a turn of for relationship minded men. I would try being friendly and happy but without the overt flirtyness, and see if that helps. xo

So many good posts here. My mum always taught me that men and women are DIFFERENT, but EQUAL. Which means that men and women have different strengths and weaknesses and these are to be understood and celebrated. I love being a woman, I don’t want to be a man and never have. I also think that feminism is supposed to be about choices, and yet I seem to cop so much criticism from women for only working part time (I’m a physician) and also for cooking for my husband and doing the tidying etc. xo

Why did you break up? Who broke it off? It’s hard to say without knowing him but some guys do like to keep women around that they like and are attracted to, for company and other benefits. I think as women we immediately assume they want to get back together because that’s what WE might want. But don’t fall into that trap. More importantly, what do you want? I don’t know personally, although I have seen many women date down, presumably it makes them feel safer and like the guy will never leave or cheat. Then that’s exactly what happens! Even if I’ve finished all my stuff for the day, I do try to keep my outfit on until hubby comes home because otherwise he would just see me in my nighttime pyjamas etc lol xo

I was a bit like this at college too. I had friends, but felt really shy and awkward around people I didn’t know! For me personally, I overcame this by consciously always making an effort with others. Start small, like literally smile at people you recognise from class or wherever. Then start saying hi. Then when you get more confident you can ask people small questions about things, whether it’s something you have in common like an assignment, or complimenting a girl on her jacket or dress (onl…

I honestly do not know why women have casual sexual relationships with their exes!!!! It’s not in your interest at all, and he will lose respect for you (subconsciously or otherwise) because you’ve allowed yourself to be downgraded to a plate. I would seriously recommend cutting this off. I know it’s hard to cut your losses and move on but sometimes you just have to. Otherwise in six or twelve months time you could still be in this same situation. On the very slim chance that he does change his …

Congrats OP! It sounds like your man is happy and content with you, which is great news. Interestingly, I live in Australia which has a very “blokey” culture and I do feel like men complain about their wives/SO in a joking way as a way of bonding with eachother. So it’s less about actual dissatisfaction with their wife, but rather some sort of ritual where they laugh about how much money their wife spends or how their wife wants them to come home early etc. Conversely I think if the men had actu…

My mum always tells me that the first rule of having a stressed husband is to not do anything that will make it worse. That little problem you wanted to bring up? Pick another time. His shirts are all piling up? Take them to the dry cleaners so he doesn’t end up shirtless one morning. Feel bitchy and naggy? STFU!!!! Once you’ve mastered this you can add all the other great points that posters have made xo

I don’t know the answer to this, except for reflecting on your previous experiences of obsessing and how it affected your choices might help. Heightened emotions about a man you barely know can cloud your judgement and lead you to make terrible decisions. Perhaps you could write it all down in a journal? Ask a friend or family member who you trust for their opinions about your previous behaviour? I don’t know, I’m a fairly logical/scientific sort of person and when I get overwhelmed by irrationa…

He’s the only one benefiting from this situation, not you. It’s not appropriate or productive to spend so much time with a man that you are not in a proper relationship with. I think you should get some distance, explain that this “arrangement” no longer suits you, and go concentrate on yourself xo

I think being alpha widowed relates to women who have had a relatively casual experience with a high value man, and then are too deluded to see that such a man is not within their actual dating/marriage league. I don’t think they are really “judged” as such, beyond any judgement about being deluded and also allowing a casual relationship and expecting more xo

School is for studying, cultivating interests and for making good girl friends! Don’t get distracted by boys or drama or parties or whatever else is going on. Do you plan to go to university? If so, start working towards this. Perhaps you could volunteer or get some work experience in different things you’re interested in? I also agree that dance is great! I did ballet for 14 years and people still comment on my great posture and poise etc lol xoxox

You haven’t even met in person yet! Save the subtle flirting for when you are in person. Also, you kind of have to gauge the response you get from the guy. Some men really dont like flirty women I’ve noticed, probably because they think you must do it with everyone. Good luck for your date! xo

A pretty face is a great asset, but it’s definitely not the only asset. I think it’s important to assess yourself honestly, and try maximise your weak points and highlight your strong points. Also, a woman who has kind eyes and is smiley and happy can never be “ugly” as far as I’m concerned anyway xoxox

I know plenty of trust fund ladies who easily get married, and men don’t seem to mind that they don’t work. You need to do something with your time though, whether it’s study or interest of charity work. Some men WILL mind though, not all will accept this situation. I barely work now, which my husband prefers, but when he met me I was a junior doctor slaving away every weekend and night at the hospital. I think he liked my work ethic, and it was good for him to see that side of me so he knew I w…

You straight up describe yourself as a feminist and state your political views. That’s fine, but to think that’s going to easily attract a more traditionally minded man is a mistake. I think perhaps your dates are too long. Shorter dates in public places over a period of time makes it better to connect and to weed out any guys who just want causal physical stuff. Try daytime dates like going for a walk together, lunch, movie...I think do “something” rather than just hanging out alone, which leads to risky situations. I agree that when the time comes just be direct but casual about how you state your expectations. He might ghost, that’s just the way it is. xo

Cheating in an agreed monogamous relationship is dishonest. If my husband cheated on me, depending on the circumstances, I would be devastated but likely to attempt to keep the marriage through counselling etc. I’m not sure it would work but I would give it a try xo

Yes I agree that generally surgical fields are less flexible! I guess it’s all about priorities, and some ladies just prioritise family life less than their career, which can make a traditional dynamic of a marriage more difficult. Ps. My mum is a librarian with a masters degree too! :)

Hmm, it sounds like you’re stuck in a bad emotional and mental rut about this guy. Don’t be too hard on yourself, I think it’s quite common. Warning, some tough love is incoming....the reality is, you don’t belong to him, and you never did. In fact he’s probably sleeping with and wooing other women right now, in the same manner he did with you. If he wanted to be with you then he would have made it happen...and yet he just strung you along. I’m sure you had some nice times and memories together,…

There’s a few negative comments about female doctors on this post. I’m a physician which allows me to only work part time which means I can take care of the house and my husband too! Healthcare does have the added benefit of the “caring” and “empathy” factor that men seem to like, in my experience at least. I feel that men also like nurses for similar reasons. My husband likes that I cook nutritious meals and know how to handle paediatric emergencies etc because he knows nothing about these fiel…

I wouldn’t suggest firing out questions interview style (not that you would), but rather just trying to subtly gauge things via what he says and does, and what he doesn’t say and do. I tried to ask about important things, but also show a genuine interest in the topic. So instead of just “what do you do for work?” you might say: -What is your job? That’s really interesting. Did you always want to do that? Aaah so was XYZ your favourite subject at school? That’s amazing, I was never that great at …

Great points by everyone else! I think trying to anticipate his needs is important, practice until it becomes second nature. I grew up with a mother who was very good at this, she always seemed to appear at the right time with our favourite food, a hug, a nice cool drink or whatever. It’s really second nature to me to consider what my husband might want or need, for example if he’s working from home and already had dinner, I know that he likes something sweet and light like an apple cut up to sn…

100% agree. First of all there’s your appearance, you can make effort every day to appear more feminine. A little goes a long way! My absolute minimum is mascara, concelear under my eyes, a dab of blush and lipgloss before leaving the house. It takes 2mins max and makes such a difference! Secondly I suppose is your attitude/approach. Perhaps always remember to be polite, don’t raise your voice, don’t swear, and to smile and be kind to others. Hi OP! Good advice from others, all I would like to add is that male physicians/surgeons are used to having women throwing themselves at them. I’m a physician and I find it so funny to watch the way women act around my colleagues. From this, and the amount of friends I’ve had ask me to set them up with a doctor, I’ve realised that male doctors are viewed as having extremely high value on the dating/marriage market. My point is, don’t be one of those women, show interest without pestering him, an…

I’m not sure if this is neediness (which I think generally men don’t mind so much), or just brattiness. If you keep demanding and asking for things from your husband then he may begin to feel as if his efforts aren’t appreciated, and nothing is ever good enough. Perhaps practice some mindfulness meditation and concentrate on the idea of “gratitude” and what you are thankful for xo

You’re tired! You poor thing that sounds like a lot of work. However, like anything, a pleasant expression can be learned. Think of it like posture, if someone has a bad slouching posture, constant attention to it and reminding yourself to correct it consistently and over time it will be fixed. I really can’t stand the “resting bitch face” trend of today (I know you don’t have that) it’s so unpleasant and unfeminine, I think it’s so important to appear happy and approachable. I have a friend who talks incessantly about her job, and also seems very “competitive” with men when talking about it. It’s almost like she’s forgotten that there’s many other aspects to her personality and life. She’s also 33 and unhappily single. I’m sure there’s more to it than that but I really do think this is a contributing factor. xo

I think it’s best to find a balance honey. I stuck my head in textbooks for most of my twenties, definitely to the detriment of everything else. It made me a better physician (which was always my dream), but in hindsight I’m not sure it was worth it. I consider myself very lucky to have met my darling husband in my mid-late 20s. It’s a risky strategy, and I would highly recommend trying to achieve some balance instead xo
