This is obviously fake, but if it weren't, it's worth pointing out that you are choosing to do all of this in the most cowardly way possible. Afraid of facing the people you have misled, you want to run away. You can't do anything about the women who hurt you, so you want to hurt another woman not connected to the others at all, except that she is also a woman. Very cowardly

Does she usually participate in discussions of big financial decisions? If so, she is upset because she feels like you have changed the rules on her without letting her know. That is not an unreasonable expectation on her part. A quick, "yeah, didn't realize how scary that is for you, I will let you know next time" is enough. If she isn't usually involved in such discussions, she is mad because it either makes her scared or embarrassed that she didn't know before. If either of those is the case,…

Olympic equipment from Craigslist has served me well. Consider getting some kettlebells. HITT is a great way to supplement strength training with cardio, and kettlebell work (something like simple and sinister) is one of the best ways to do that with limited space. If you do decide to get kettlebells, hire someone who knows something to give you a few lessons. You can hurt yourself if you don't do them properly. Consider adjustable dumbbells. They save a ton of space. No need to dick around with…

You should always ask yourself how much of her attitude has nothing to do with you, and it just her lashing out because she is just unhappy in general. I find that asking that does two things for me. It makes it much easier to not get sucked into her bs, and it makes me much better at understanding the situation. It also answers your question. As long as the rest of her life puts her in a bad mood, you will see those wild swings.

HIIT is great cardio. Cardio won't do much to lose fat though. You just won't burn that many calories. But what will cardio do? Improve your general health, improve your mood and alertness. And it will allow you to push yourself significantly harder when lifting weights.

Michael Jordan won an NBA championship on Father's Day, after his father died. He sobbed all over the trophy, lying in the floor. Crying after you win is very, very different than crying because you can't.

100 times more important than thinking about whether those feelings are okay, is making sure those feelings are channeled into being a good father. Let them make you more motivated to be a good father and don't let them make you over protective.

You cannot make him take it. He has to be ready. All you can do is make it easy to find the information when he is ready. Don't be afraid to share your red pill successes and blue pill failures. And those of others you've known. Just don't start off with the "feminine imperative" stuff Rollo is constantly talking about. It's very conspiracy minded and will scare off anyone who isn't already warm to the ideas.

I don't agree. MRP offers the carrot (get your shit together, and you can have this!), And DB offers the stick (don't get your shit together, and see what you'll get!) DB can be a lot like the 3 ghosts from A Christmas Carol.

You are missing the point. It's making fun of men for getting a bit of knowledge thinking they are now Rambo, and responding to everyday situations with excessive force. The equivalent would be taking one martial arts class and thinking you are now Bruce Lee, looking for fights to prove yourself.

I'm mostly in same boat as you. My perspective: being the best father you can be is most important. And being the best father means modeling all the things you want your kid/s to think of when they think of being a man. Doing that will force you to confront all your shit because you don't want to pass it along to a kid. It forces you to stop doing the wrong things, but also start doing the right things. Be who you want your son to be/ who you want your daughter to be with. And I can attest to be…

I am saying this: I see a lot of arguing over what the definition of vulnerability is, or should be. I don't see how that arguing furthers our shared goals. I don't think it is a massive problem, but a bit of fat to be carved off. Sometimes, when people ask for more vulnerability, they want the supplicative, weak kind. Fuck those people. Sometimes, they are asking for the confident kind. (ex: nondefensive, confident posture is more vulnerable, because you expose your body to attack more openly).…

I am frustrated by the way people are arguing over whether vulnerability is or isn't good for a man, when different groups are using different definitions of the word. In Manson's writing, he is using vulnerability to mean "putting yourself out there", and "not being afraid to expose yourself to disapproval". This is not weakness. You could argue it's just painting over the concepts of DGAF or authenticity with purple paint. You'd have a point. But I hope the conversation eventually moves beyond…

Doesn't it make more sense as a feedback loop? An unattractive behavior leads to a decrease in sex. The decrease in sex leads to more unattractive behaviors, which leads to less sex. And when the man and woman are both unaware/in denial of what is actually happening, it is a positive feedback loop that can't/won't be addressed.

I'm gonna make an argument for Judo. BJJ is derived from Judo, and they are very similar. The difference is that Judo is mostly about throws from your feet with some groundwork, and BJJ is mostly (almost entirely) groundwork. It is pretty dangerous to go to the ground in a fight since you don't know who else might want to join your party, and you are especially vulnerable to a cheap shot. Searching for videos under terms like "judo street fight" or "seoi nage street fight" will make the point mo…

This. It's very natural to justify being barely social by calling it being "chill". I did this, and most of the people who make the same argument seem to be doing exactly the same. You might be the exception, but be very careful not to fool yourself. And think of it this way, energy vs chill is on a continuum. You don't need to turn into a spaz, but it's very possible to become, say, 10% more energetic. You should experiment with it to see if X% more energetic is a good fit for you.

I have spine issues. Lunge variations and Step-ups can allow you to strengthen your legs and back without hurting your spine. But make sure your hips stay fairly level. Don't let one hip sink too much. I've also felt good doing kettlebell deadlifts and the leg press machine. I miss squats and deadlifts, but I don't miss struggling to get into my car.

Yeah, unless I am missing something, isn't this an egregious example of base rate neglect? The numbers I have seen are that about 80% of single parents are mothers. You weren't kidding about that article being brief! I'd like to add to your point #2: one of the things I saw Jordan Peterson discuss that really hit home with me was about when telling someone what you want: expect them to suck at it, at first, and encourage the effort anyway. Otherwise, they just shut down after 1 or 2 attempts. This definitely goes both ways. A discussion of evaluating probabilistically would be very useful for MRP, and something pretty much everyone needs to do more of. It is part of becoming outcome independent. If you do things the right way, you aren't guaranteed to win every game, but you have put yourself in the best position to do so. If you do this, she WILL love you the way you want her to love you. replace "she WILL..." with "you have put yourself in the best position to be loved the way men desire" how she responds to all …

I don't understand the definition of nice, that National Affairs is using, at all. Nice, even if we separate it from the covert contracts that nice people often deal in, is mostly just being passive and unobtrusive. Niceness is not requiring others respect you. There are times society rewards niceness as a virtue, such as when it wants compliance and obedience, like at school. This can make it very confusing for some people, because they develop a positive identity around being meek and letting …

Another way to conceptualize it is to differentiate between "you should always believe AWALT without exception" and "you consistently underrate AWALT and overrate exceptions to it, and therefore drilling AWALT into your skull at every opportunity will shift your analysis to become more accurate". Only simpletons believe the first version, but beginners don't want to admit/understand the second version applies to them, so AWALT remains the best heuristic.

There are other good answers here, but I will just add: You are focusing on risks that threaten physical harm. As a family man, that is less appealing to you, and logically so. I think I do get it, but I'm trying to bridge the gap for some of the guys who don't like the current terms MRP is using. They are useful for testing frame and for describing specific weaknesses, so if you don't like them, find something better for those purposes. I think something better than faggot will come around, but the explanation BPP of a "Bernie" as a "pussy socialist" makes that one seem tough to improve upon.

I think there are better ways to get across the insults than "faggot" and "Bernie" represent, but those are the terms that evolved here. So if you want it changed, come up with better ones! Steven Pinker's Euphemism Treadmill is a key concept here. A word in common usage becomes connected to the vulgarities of the lower class, and becomes verboten. A new word becomes the "enlightened" term for a while, and the cycle repeats. Retard, Faggot, idiot, imbecile, lame, dumb, and countless others were …

Everything you just wrote doesn't preclude a logarithmic scale. The fact that some men can bang so much they start hitting hard physiological limits meshes just fine when you have incels over at the other end of that curve. I think Wilt was BSing and 2000 women for him is probably more accurate. That still means 350 times more partners than the average man. You don't put that kind of data on a linear scale.
/r/MarriedRedPill02/03/16 03:50 AM

I think it very much applies. If we go by sexual partner count or number of encounters, it's logarithmic, just like predicted. Your argument is like saying earthquakes are linear because the Richter scale is 1-10.

I don't think MRP is giving this article its due. Maybe RT's diction isn't your own, but the thoughts there are solid: Women are "attracted up" not laterally, and definitely not down. This leads to consequences. Low SMV men have no options, medium SMV men will be "settled for" but not desired. Because of the current state of society, women overestimate their SMV. It's vital that most women deny this truth and that most men don't see it. Low SMV men who MGTOW are a kind of threat to society. They…

To add on to jacktenofhearts point that MRP isn't immortal; once MRP reaches a certain size, it will become an explicit target for destruction by SJWs. Yes and no. She can be very anxious and doesn't trust me. I've DEERed the shit out of this in the past (my record is good, almost never elicit road rage in others). Obviously no effect so I must respond like a man in charge.

Don't just tell the vets "thanks for your service". Sure, say it, but if you know the guy, also point out the ways knowing them has improved your life, especially as a man. [deleted], you have shortened my and many others learning curves. Less time as a beta bitch is a pretty great contribution for some asshole I don't even know!

I can be a nonchalant driver. I am about average, but sometimes will get distracted. I have had others make fun of my driving, but only my wife acts like every ride is most likely to end in our deaths. She, on occasion, can be right, but she is bad enough overall that she makes everyone else in the car uncomfortable and people don't want to go with us when I drive and she is with me. She has also nearly gotten me into accidents by scaring me with her "look out!" and "stop!" at inappropriate time…

I wasn't thinking of it that way. This is a professional woman who probably takes great pride in her independence. Implying that she is some shrinking violet to her beta husband will probably disgust her.

Yes, half jokingly questioning whether or not she really runs her own business or if she is just a little girl doing what her hubby says might give her a better perspective on this.

The disagreement here seems to hinge upon the seriousness of calling this rape. But no matter how you slice it, to the female, there are physical and emotional responses that overlap greatly with being raped.

What about the tearful victim puke about how we don't feel loved? That one almost worked! If she only understood how much my sensitive feelings are in terrible pain, we would passionately embrace and make love for hours!

You sound just like me. I'm only a few months ahead of you on this journey. You will feel a lot of rage at times. Take it with you to the gym. It will get worse short term sometimes before it gets better. Be prepared to feel overwhelmed. Just keep going. The advice here is all good. I'll add that being a father makes everything all the more urgent. Do you want your son/daughter to learn to be red or blue pill? Honestly, for me, that is even bigger than the dead bedroom. I'd rather burn in hell t…

I have dived in head first, and have been working on a lot of things. Not just appearance, but things like eye contact, posture, attitude, and friendliness. And working my way through the 2nd half of RP 101 sidebar, reading MRP, AMRP, etc. The more I learn, the more I see how I fucked myself and the more I see I need to do to unfuck. Especially with regards to being in my wife's frame. I need to remember that I am making progress, and that starting with such shitty mental habits means that I hav…

A lot of anger still and moments of doubt. Especially with regards to the fact that dropping fat and gaining muscle, getting some dental work done, and dressing better have had no effect on wife at all. It is not OI and I need to stop it. The more I learn, the more work I am realizing I have to do, and I feel overwhelmed. Have to keep reminding myself to just continue putting one foot in front of the other. Make small, measurable goals to keep motivated and to track progress.

So let's not excuse women with AWALT. Instead, let's condemn them loudly! And then see what happens, and if the situation improves... "Foul seductress, I beseech thee to be attracted to me for thine honour is contingent upon it!" MRP is primarily about practicality. You are primarily about apportioning blame. Good luck with that. (Hint: many of us are here because our condemnations made the problem worse)

That "explanation" should be an insult to your intelligence. Next she can tell you her dog ate the text when you laugh at previous excuse.

It is a thing, and you put a pretty solid explanation up there. No one is identical to another, but our society has decided to pretend that men and women, respectively, don't have the same underlying traits and deny that we are mostly just clever apes.

It's very fun, but you have to be more careful of injury. Lifting hard and regularly for the last few months has been very helpful. I have to ice my knees most days though!

I have acknowledged the problem and my role in it, and want to fix it. I've been stuck in the STFU phase and will move beyond it, but haven't made much progress in this respect beyond the fact that I've stopped digging a deeper hole.

The thing is, I'm generally fine with AM and AA with others, but have so trained myself to be her emotional tampon with occasionally too sarcastic outbursts, that I'm having trouble even thinking that way with her.

I am a white libertarian male. I am just as much a devil as a white Christian male to the sanctimonious progressives who lead this charge. I don't respect the opinions or intelligence (at least in this context) of such people. When I read or hear the shit they say, I used to get offended. But those people are bitches and other than ruining the lives of a few chosen frat boys and business men they single out for heresy, they don't do much. It sucks and it is unjust, but that is life. If you tried to tackle Adrian Peterson, he would run you over. Would you then come here and ask, "how do I tackle him? I squared him up, but he ran right through me." You are expecting MRP to say something like, "wrap up his legs". But guess what? He would see it coming from a mile away, and jump over you. Instead, they would say to lift, practice tackling technique, do agility drills, and then come back for "tips" You keep asking how to tackle AP. They keep saying you aren't ready. Get ready fi…

Shit I am owning: Lifting, dieting, Judo (I am a beginner who sucks but am and working hard and learning). Biggest thing I need to improve upon: When wife is bad mood and taking it out on me, my reaction is to get mad/indignant, not go for AA or AM. While I totally agree with the concept of treating her like a 4 year old, my initial reaction is to think of things which would hurt her and escalate the situation. I have generally been STFU, or at least keeping it short and civil, but this a place …

Bigoted stereotypes against (white) Christians are far more acceptable than used to be here in the US. Still, I'd call that a far cry from real discrimination. Snobbish assholes will look down their nose at you and mock you a bit. If those people don't like you, it's a good sign.
/r/MarriedRedPill12/10/15 09:25 PM

I read the use of "judgemental" here as "overly critical", not "making assessments". Like the way "discriminating" could be used as "discerning" or as "prejudiced"

Enlightened self interest is the highest virtue. BTW, one of my Judo instructors said, "happy, wife, happy life" today. Laughed to myself. Held my tongue since I'm on day 2 of my comeback. He's a black belt but not head of dojo. Later he proceeded to make my white belt ass tap out in sparring. Head guy is an RP Marine. Don't think he would say that shit.

Those short, jacked guys would kill to inhabit James's body. And females prefer his body type. I'll never have the skeletal structure for shoulders and a chest like James, but I'll do the best with what I have. Grass is always greener. Strongliifts are great, but if you are stretched out and wanna grow muscle, you should research bodybuilding exercises to complement SL. r/bodybuilding is a good start.

Yeah, I think when people say "cheat code", what they mean is, " Finally, I feel like I know what the fuck to do to get some godamn results!". To those of us who have been trying everything else but only making it worse, it can feel like cheating compared to the rigged game we were used to.

It seems like AWALT is more accurately worded as "all women have these tendencies but they indulge them to differing degrees, and it is much more context dependent than stable within an individual". But this makes a terrible acronym.

While I agree with the argument against the "Flintstonization of Prehistory", and think of lot of the evolutionary analysis done by redpillers is based on out of date notions (not that bluepillers are any better. Primatologists are some of the most redpill people around), everything I have read indicates that small scale societies (the closest analogue to the lives most prehistorical humans lived) are/were pretty violent. Thanks, you wonderful bastards. I really need to work on this and was thinking last night about asking a mod how best to get the more sartorially sophisticated of you to share some advice on this. I do have a more specific question. My sleeve length is 39.5". Even dress shirts from "big and tall" don't go that far. What are the opinions of the partially rolled up sleeve look? Not every path is equally difficult. But even in my brief beginning, I am realizing that I have A LOT of Beta tendencies. I just want to know if what I'll need to do is just "more of the same but it will be harder", or "x will be harder and y will be easier, but z is totally different " And I will be finishing all the readings, so if my questions are answered later, just refer me.

I read the guide, started reading MMSLP last night, switching to NMMNG tonight. Yeah, I totally went to counseling hoping she would finally understand what I say, and even more, that she would finally stop being so cryptic about what she wants. Just want to feel like I know what the hell to do. The pessimism of Dead Bedrooms had me thinking that I was just delaying the inevitable and might as well blow it all up. MRP has given me hope that I have a puncher's chance, at the very least, as long as…

I am going to deescalate, not mention ultimatums. What about something along the lines of," I know I have to fix a lot of shit, are you open to the idea that I can?" I do think blowing off the talk indefinitely while I digest the reading will make me look like a pussy, especially after I mentioned moving out. So a way to handle that productively would be helpful. In a hole, don't want to keep digging.

I think I would say she started out somewhere around independent but has morphed into dominant. Part of it is, I think, confidence from promotions and success at work. But the disconnect for me is the difference between what she says she wants and what she seems to really want. That aspect may be the part about MRP that really convinces me. (not that other arguments don't, but this one really hits home.)
