To get through this all you have to do is NEVER DO ANYTHING WRONG AND FORGET YOUR FEELINGS....but seriously, we're all human bud. Don't feel bad for having a heart

All the way bro. I think a lot of people here are also fresh in the process, like me, so it's still raw

This subreddit has taught me a good amount about time and letting it heal things. Sorry you're going through it man, but it does get better, I promise

First off, love you big guy. You knew this would happen eventually. You're just dealing with the shock. Feel it out bro, let the pain wash over you and start your next chapter

Give it time man. That anger you feel will be gone and some woman is going to love you in ways you never imagined. Keep faith friend. Former infantryman as well. Stay strong.

Well honestly, I assumed so when I called and they were in bed together.

Man I really like this dude. My wife as I know her is indeed dead. It's time I started mourning.

I agree. I guess it just felt like my heart broke all over again. It's okay though. The sun will rise tomorrow.

I really didn't think she would do that. I was so embarrassed. Life goes on I guess. I learned the lesson.

It sucks but one thing I learned is that whether your ex finds the love of their life next or is single forever...no longer has anything to do with you. The hardest part is accepting the "maybe" but it's over. Gotta accept it
/r/Divorce_Men10/05/26 10:27 AM
2

Wow, you hit the nail on the head dude. She's been dating and hooking up this whole time and I've been single as fuck dealing with the raw emotion. All I am is something to fill the empty space. I'm worth more than that

I agree. I have a young nephew and watching him get joy of out life gives me joy by proxy. I remember you have to celebrate the small victories because that's all you get

It's fucked up but I'm at peace with myself. I just want the world to feel what it gave me. That feels so immature to say

Needed to hear this man. I've been through much of the same. I lived in an underpass for much of the last year. I'm trying to find the beauty that's left in the world man...I truly am. I guess I'm just hurt right now But you're right. I can't give in to it
/r/Divorce_Men03/05/26 02:39 AM

I hear you brother. Maybe I'll find some books on the subject to not end up like those dudes. I really appreciate your input man.

So after dealing with this recently 2 very important things. If a police report is filed and the found you knew and didn't report it. You will be charged as well. They will take your children and hold you liable as much as the abuser for doing nothing. Report it and get with a lawyer or lose your kids and wife. Seriously.

Sometimes you need to detach and allow yourself to just enjoy life man. Don't overthink everything bro

Good advice bro. You're right, I want a past that can never be. We're both different people now

I'll tell you what bro, I've chased women for almost all 40 years of my life. Whenever your measure of happiness depends on another person, you will always end up miserable. You have to want it for you and nobody else. Just my 2 cents my friend.

I honestly don't think you stop "wondering". I mean you married this woman for a reason. She's not gonna be easy to let go. I think we just find a way to "live with it".

It was initially about the kids, then it turned into and hour and 1/2 of me expressing how much I love and miss her. In the end she told me "you add nothing positive to my life" and hung up.

Just sit with the pain. As much as that sucks

First step is to breathe bro. You knew this would happen eventually, don't try to numb it, just feel and breathe my friend
