Southern California man. Going to suggest two places: Avalon on Catalina Island and Lake Arrowhead in the San Bernardino Mountains. Both are really gorgeous tourist spots with abundance of things to do depending on what you enjoy. I enjoy the outdoors nature aspect of both places.
