Just listen to him. Men mostly need someone to just listen during these kind of phases specially when they are blind sided. Being a friend just to hang out for sometime is so much rewardin than going to a therapist.

Keep fighting man. Women have no remorse and when time comes, make sure you are ruthless.

Can totally relate to this. In my case, the ex had an affair, filed for divorced and am ensuring that 5050 remains (going through the court process to ensure status quo remains). the kid is only 3.5 years old and when he leaves for the week, my soul leaves my body. Time helps to adjust the pain, but it will never go away.

She has been riding him longer than you think. Every woman who stops having sex with her husband has a main dick somewhere else. Lawyer up and exit.

Snake. That's what my former father in law was. Lied and played innocent Infront of family about his daughter's filing for divorce. Will not shed a tear the day he dies. Blocked everyone from her side and am happy.

I have been doing it. She has been repeatedly lying, withdrawing from her own commitments and yet has the audacity to call me and my family names. Am not engaging with her anymore.

All her gifts and other items have been returned/agreed to be returned and thats why there is a financial settlement done to ensure no extra claims are brought up once it is signed and done. If i send her one item beyond the scope of the financial settlement, whats stopping her from coming back again and asking more?

I have told her that. Moreover, the kid doesn't cry for more than a min or so. He seems okay and engages with me. She is making it so difficult for no reason.

I have no idea about therapy. But she is quite difficult to handle as she simply doesn't understand boundaries. Moreover, she rescinded her consent for a court order which we agreed upon during mediation. Wants the arrangement without any legal setup. But I am not okay with it as she has done quite significant decisions without me knowing.

Exactly, my mobile is blocked during the whole time. I have repeatedly told that now you need to disconnect and I will spend time with the kid. But she starts arguing that who I am I to dictate terms on how long can she talk to the kid. Absolutely horrendous nature.

One hour during day care days is almost 25% of my time. She just reads stories and poems. With me, he barely engages for more than 15 mins and I am okay with that. She is struggling to understand that boundaries include my time with the kid when he is with me. Will keep pushing so that i can retain my sanity.

Thank you for the details. Despite 1 hour or more than that, she still is provocative when I tell her to disconnect. Just using the same excuse that the kid will cry if she disconnects to prolong the calls which inevitable takes away my time with the kid.

Thank you. Will fight for the kid. Everything she has been doing is in bad faith. Frustrating but have to do it.

What would like to have, the long answer or the short answer? Short Answer: No Long Answer: Nooooo and block her from your life/online social media etc. If take her back, you will most likely end up in the same position within a year. A lady who has done this once is not someone to trust ever. And never ever have kids with this lady.

Thank you for your advice. I understand, my solicitor said the same thing that am not asking for anything unreasonable. But she did say that in courts, nothing is guaranteed and I will have to go through a process. I have been a good dad but this high conflict divorce needs to be over with. I am not happy but am getting all other important clauses my way. The extra 2 nights I am letting go are between Tuesday/Wed/Thurs during school term. Holidays and other breaks are being shared equally.

Thank you for your advice. I am relunctant to give in to the 10% so that I can conclude the Child arrangement order. Not happy about it but just a bit concerned with the proces if it goes to court. Am getting all other things as per what I want. Have you gone through the CAO in the UK? If so, I would like to have a chat if its okay with you. The extra 2 nights I am letting go are between Tuesday/Wed/Thurs during school term. Holidays and other breaks are being shared equally.

I can relate. But please understand that your marriage is over. You need to protect your kids and yourself. Things will tough but you need to get ahead. No amount of explanation will make her understand or stay in the marriage. Hire a lawyer and get yourself proper legal advice.

Update: Feedback needed !! Can the court simply allow the former partner (wife) get the jewelry she got during the marriage from both sides of the family? My solicitor is saying that we can contest it, but it will depend on if she can prove that those were gifts. My concern is how can jewelry which is worth around 20K in total be simply handed over and not be part of 50-50 split?

Stay strong. I have been forcing the 50-50 custody till we have a court order. Like yours, mine is also trying to manipulate the kid who is just under 3. Just make sure you are there for your kids in any way possible. I just hope karma catches up with narcissistic mothers.

Have rephrased my points as you have detailed above. Many thanks. Just to have a thought-out process if the 60/40 is something I can live with or go for a full-fledged court hearing.

Thank you for such a detailed response. I intend to have the following clauses in the agreement if I agree to the proposed plan: 1. Implement Shared residency clause or Lives with both parents clause 2. Right to first refusal to the other parent. 3. Equal share of custody during holidays/summer break/Christmas/Festivals and can in blocks 4. Maximum stay of 30 days overseas 5. Names and details of both parents in educational, health and other important documents 6. Schools to be mutually decided …

Just to clarify more, if the proposed 60/40 is implemented, I end up with around 146 nights while she ends up with 219 nights

Thank you for the advice. Based on a calendar year, the mother seems to be having around 36 nights extra if the proposed 60/40 is implemented. I am a bit concerned if it does end up in court, what will be the financial cost to fight it as I will probably fight her in court on financial separation too. I have been thinking if I give up today, whether I would end up regretting on the thought of fighting for more for my kid.

She is emotionally ahead by 3 months at least Hire a good lawyer Do NOT engage in reconciliation (telling from personal experience) Be ruthless for your rights and kids. (Do NOT get emotional) Stay in your house (if you own it). Else move out Most importantly, be there for the kids. Things will get rough, but they will get better with time

I would hesitate to add a pen pal through a dating app. Am personally very clear of not wanting that. Flirt, sex, become FWB (if not, it's okay as well). Am not jumping in a relationship where marriage is the end goal.

Not one reliable friend for me. People have bought houses, had their kid's birthdays but haven't even invited even as a curtsey..i have realised that we put people on a pedestal, whereas their relationship is just transactional. Have been lucky enough to have parents to help me through the darkest days...

Thank you so much. Just a correction here: Total Pot (her version): £180k - £11K loan + your £100k = £269K. Split = £1345000 each. Am awaiting to have a hearing back from the lawyer. Also, only after pressurizing her that I will go to court, she has disclosed her assets after 90 days of first request. Her lawyer had been dragging this out.

You will recover from this. Just cut her lose from your life. Karma spares no one. Mine did the same thing except that we also had a kid and all she cared was that I wasn't connected to her anymore.

Been there done that. Can't deny that its painful, but it will be less painful as time flies. Learn some hobby, play video games, go to the gym or maybe have sex with another woman (don't jump into a relationship too soon). Keep it simple. Make most of your loneliness.

No other feeling comes close than the feeling of being away from your kid(s). Been there and still coping. Just try to focus on your hobbies, go for a walk, get laid. Most difficult for me is not that the kid is away for the week, its the feeling that this is the new normal and have to deal with this every other week. Am fighting for even equal share of custody. At least you seem to have this sorted. But get this legally done. Mine had the same mindset but then she started to challenge the 50-50…

Currently we are on weekly custody and am not letting it change as advised by solicitor. Fortunately for me that seems to be the status quo. I have been practical and prudent and also changed the pickup/drop off cycle to her employment needs and yet she continues to employ such shameless tactics and includes threats to make me, my immediate and extended family suffer financially. Had no remorse when she filed for divorce and without consulting anyone or telling one but now wants to the mother of…

I am hoping my solicitor will guide me as required. Despite sacrificing my career, allowing her to stay in the UK despite being the only income generator while she was unemployed, I fail to understand why is she becoming so vengeful? She is also claiming that the kid is distressed when I pick him up and drop him off from day care which is another lie. Point is will the legal system make her pay?

Dude, men have got divorce for trivial reasons and yours is a walking CCP flag of China. Get a lawyer and file before she does something damaging to you. Please don't think she didn't have affairs or casual hook up. If she is hot or even average she has had some dicks in her no matter what you think...

Can relate to mine..filed and didn't tell till I got the notice.. we have a 2 year old. Now she is even challenging the status quo of 50 50 custody of the kid. I will fight tooth and nail for my son as she is a narcissist mainly because of the job.. lawyer up and don't engage with her. Have therapy and believe that it will pass....

More or less the same situation here. My STBXW is threatening to disrupt the child custody agreement (50-50) on a weekly basis and wants more of our child. Hired a lawyer and have told her that now I will disrupt the entire divorce agreement as she crossed a line infringing on my parental rights and even suggested (in argument) that she buys me off and I give up my parental rights of the kid. This is coming from a lady whom I trusted blindly. Get a lawyer and do not give an inch unless legally r…

Happended to me and we have a 2 year old kid as well .she filed and didn't tell till I got the court notice.. such ungrateful woman who used my visa to get employment and yet within 2 months in her job she filed...
