Like most men who quit p0rn, he was doing it for his PP, not because he actually thought the action of what he was doing was wrong. It’s like an alcoholic a quits for their physical health. Yes of course you are going to reap the benefits for your liver, but if your narcissistic mindset hasn’t changed, you’re still the same broken person, just sober. And that’s the kind of mindset that just leads to transfer addiction

I never tell them my stance first and I didn’t post it online, back when I was doing online dating. If a man asked me how I feel about children, I always say why do you ask? I flip it back on him and get his stance first. It’s the only way to get the truth, and even that isn’t 100%. But the thing is I think most men are good either way. Of course they want children if they think the wife is going to be obliged to do all the work. Once you let me know that if there was a child hypothetically they…

It’s been three years for me. I don’t even notice. I had a sexy dream the other night and yeah it’s nice, the contact, but then I remembered all the stuff that used to come with it. Not worth it. Every day I thank God on my knees S/He preserved my life while I was out there being a fool. Since I stopped wasting my life playing the cool girl, I’ve gotten into a doctorate program. Men are not the be-all and end-all and honestly sex is very overrated.

LOL, no matter how much these misogynists try to hide it with “science “and word salad, their inevitable hatred of women will pop out. According to this in.cel HVM won’t wait because they have options and they won’t “invest in a woman who is withholding from them.” Did you catch that? He just said women’s only value is sex. If anyone wants further proof he says, “All my relationships started with a quick bang, the rest were boring.” Yeah, of course they were boring to you, you don’t see women as…

See, he almost told the whole truth. The real reason he thought she was dumb is because men who think women who agree to FWB are automatically dumb because they know for a fact it benefits them and not women!

Before I was an FDS girl, I was really proud of myself on having high standards. But that was one red flag I never noticed until I started coming here- men who want to be the expert at your expense. I started thinking back and realized I dated a number of guys who wanted to argue about every little thing and even when I was clearly correct did the old “well, that’s one way to look at it” or “You just don’t understand.” It’s gross. I always ended up breaking up with these guys for other reasons, …

I’m finding all the negativity on this thread very hypocritical. The women on here are first to shout that there is no wall and then they’re talking about this woman because she enjoys looking trendy and showing off her body at 71? There could be a lot of reasons for that. First of all she’s a WOC who is 71. Maybe depending on where she grew up in the world she didn’t have the opportunity to do this when she was younger. Maybe she was oppressed by patriarchy and forced into that wife and mother …

Right?! I’ve actually seen this video before and it never occurred to me to think about this women’s clothes or her make up, I was just blown away by her stamina and her flexibility. I am less than half her age and I could not do the moves she was doing. When I see women like her or those triathletes who are in their 80s, I am so humbled. I think she’s a fantastic role model for the fact you can be fit and independent your whole life. That’s all we need to be focused on comments and not her look…

You know that other sub Reddit that claims to be for women had a post on this a little while ago. Some girl was asking if it was OK to ask men out. And because they let men comment over there, all of these men were boosting her up to her destruction. I actually took screenshots but I couldn’t figure out how to upload multiple pictures to one post here and I didn’t want to get banned. I didn’t know this was a thing! You know life is a crapshoot. I really want to move over to the UK in part because of things like better health care and a better work life balance, but I was born and raised in the US which has no-fault divorce. Now this can be problematic in its own way, but it set a lot of women free because they no longer need permission to divorce. Apparently, when it was signed into law all sorts of divorce records broken overnight. Women who had been waiting to get away fro…

Funny how what happens to women’s bodies, including girls, is too adult of a subject, but they expect girls to deal with being the objects of male desire from 11 on up. Girls are supposed to be consumed with looking pretty and refining their man catching skills from the damn cradle.

They do everything except the desirable things about these men. They aren’t making any Tony Stark money or trying to be humanitarians. They don’t protect women. They don’t work out and get bodies like Thor. The only thing they want to emulate about these guys are the toxic aspects of entitlement and violence.

And the thing that kills me is that men have it all, but they are so spoiled they don’t want any of it! I mean, I look at the single men my age dithering around about whether they want to commit or not and it is so annoying! “I don’t know if I’m ready to settle down, hurr durr. Might miss out.” Miss out on what?! The market is so set up so that men can get a partner way more attractive than himself who is going to do the vast majority of all the domestic work, pretty much all the child rearing l…

Three is SO FUCKING IMPORTANT. My brothers, who I love, are both on dog #2. And there was nothing wrong with their first dogs, except that they weren’t fantasy docile dogs that magically didn’t need any attention all day and were ready to play as soon as they got home from work. They were real dogs that needed to be walked and to have a schedule. Surprise, surprise, they weren’t into that. So true. And I also think the one caveat to this post is an HVM with food issues will try not to be a nuisance, much like a woman. I dated a vegetarian and my brother is a veggie, too. The veg I dated would take me to any restaurant I wanted to go to, never tried to stop me from eating meat, paid for everything, meat included, with no complaints ever. My brother is much the same. I have all the food restrictions and I am a very picky eater on top of that. And this is still such a valid boundary. Because like most things that are difficult in life like mental illness, women will do what they need to do to not make their issues everyone’s issues, whereas most men will just expect you to accommodate them. It’s a no for me. I don’t think my food issues have ever bothered any man I’ve gone out with, because my only thing is don’t order for me or if you want to cook for me, as…

Yes. I wrote the post about not letting men into your home and not letting them know you have your own house and it was crossposted to a red pill forum. The guy who posted actually wrote, “Let’s use their strategy against them! Don’t let women know that you have a house and don’t let them come over!” That would’ve been really something if any of them actually had a house. 😆 The thing is if I ever see in.cels saying, let’s do what women are doing, I’m all for it. But the problem is it’s not a boundary. Her friend is in a fit of pique because the OP refused to boost her up to her destruction. And the OP has every right to be mad because this young woman has no problem letting them use her constantly but the minute her friend of long-standing gently says maybe you should step back from that, the girl gets an attitude. Why is this my life? I’ve been experiencing so many issues with this lately, and I too felt like I should’ve just been quiet at first. But first of all, it’s not really fair to you. Even pre-FDS I knew the way my friends were living was insane and I would get drained listening to all of their drama. I mean it’s just rinse and repeat, every week the same thing. My favorite from that movie is, “do you wanna end up in a loveless marriage?… If a girl’s always worrying about the money she doesn’t have, how she’s going to have any time for being in love?” It’s true. Love is great but if you’re always worrying about the lights being cut off or you’re hungry, I presume it’s not as great as it could be.

That is so true. A man may request a specific technique but if you as a woman were overall unable to make a man come at the age of 29, every man in the world would advocate for him leaving you or cheating on you. They would say for you to go read a book or watch some p0rn and learn. Why don’t men have that same burden?

This reminds me of that scene in Everybody loves Raymond. Deborah says, “how come you only pick up on the signals that matter to you? You know what “I’m tired” means because it means “no fun for Raymond.” But when I do say yes to sex, it’s like you stop listening all together. You get on and you don’t stop until you get what you want.” That last line is a little paraphrased, but the rest are all direct quotes. So I don’t write in my journal very often. Sometimes I go a year or more without touching it and ever since I discovered notes in my phone, I kind of prefer to put my feelings in there because it’s so convenient. But I say all that to say the other day something occurred for me I had to put it in my physical journal and when I went back a few entries and read what was happening in my life about three years ago I realized I am currently living every prayer I prayed back then! My God! I was just thinking this. When I have more time I want to make a post about how friendships need to be vetted as much as romantic relationships. I just had someone who I thought was a friend come at me with some serious evil energy because she hates my FDS stances. But when I looked back on the relationship, I realized I will cut her off week one if she was a man. I like this movie, but this scene always makes me so sad. It makes me think of Marilyn’s two husbands who basically married her for the same reason. It’s funny Arthur Miller and Joe DiMaggio couldn’t be more different men, but they were both men. I’m sure Marilyn thought by marrying a famous playwright, a philosopher, a brain who wrote some pretty intelligent, complex women characters, she’d finally got a man who appreciated her mind. But he was just like the rest. He just wanted the image, the …

This is so true. A male relative of mine called me the other day, obsessing about a girl who said yes to a date but ultimately decided to turn him down. This guy is like the golden child of the universe. Life just smiles on him and he’s a genuinely nice person and quite handsome. I think he was just stunned a woman wasn’t interested for once because he’s used to women throwing themselves at him. Things like this always makes me wonder. I know perfectly well why the husband didn’t marry Mary. These hypocritical men will pass around a woman but don’t want to marry one who has been passed around. But why on earth did he marry his wife if all he was going to do is cheat on her and gaslight her? Mary sounds like the ultimate pick me who would do anything for a man. He could’ve just kept dating and had her on the side and had it all in his sick mindset.

“Can’t do is like won’t do, neither of them have a home.” Maye Angelou I don’t care if a guy can’t treat you well for some actual good reason like verified illness or family issues or trauma. Is your outcome any different than the guy who just won’t treat you well because he refuses to give you that respect? No?! That old saying is true, “there are no ugly girls, only lazy ones.” There is a hierarchy in our society and most women aren’t going to be considered the 1% when it comes to beauty, but there are so many things one can do easily that take them from plain Jane to eye catcher. It’s not just about relationships. Studies have shown everything in life is affected by people’s perception of you, from housing and education opportunities to whether people help you on the street. Are you a WOC? Even if you are, it’s really best avoid blanket statements like that. I personally hate statements like that, especially coming from women who aren’t WOC or who aren’t dark. It’s an overgeneralization. You can say darker women are valued less in the social hierarchy or beauty standards in most societies trend toward lighter skin and Eurocentric features. But the above statement is loaded with inferences that just aren’t true. While it is true most societies are colorist, many dark…

Men go out of their way to help other scrotes. This guy’s whole broker’s license was suspended and he still has legal charges pending. But I don’t doubt Westport sought him out to hire him. Why? Men are crazy. If your child is in anaphylactic shock and fighting for their life, you don’t have to time to think of anything but them. Either his son had a mild reaction and he overhyped it to justify his violence or he just didn’t care about his son’s life at all and was glad to use this excuse to be violent towards young women. Men only seem to have two modes: sex and violence. And they’re typically related to one another. This seemed way too extreme reaction to really be about his child. Se…

I actually stumbled onto this video the other day. And I wanted to post it here but I didn’t think they want to watch it because it was so long. This woman needs therapy. She is too old to be so goddamn gullible. And honestly there was no synchronicity there. I remember the same thing happened with John Grisham. He was like a freaking press conference, defending his friend who was arrested for CP. I never got the “logic” of men blaming feminism for male violence. If women getting more rights or even that imaginary special treatment incels get mad about makes men violent, isn’t that proof they are the problem? Even when men tell their truth, they're still lying. Like the guy who said he can't have a conversation with his wife. I bet she's wanted to have lots of conversations-about the division of household chores, where the kids should go to school, or even what's happening in Ukraine. For many men, probably most, "conversation" is a euphemism for listening to him monologue, fake-laughing at all his lame jokes, and letting him teach you things you already know. It's crazy. That argument never made sense anyway. Aside from everything else, men who are willing to shoot up a yoga studio don’t give a damn if prostitution is illegal. If they were that determined to utilize those services, they would. Clearly they don’t care about breaking the law. But it’s entitlement. I often think the parents of incels are just as culpable. Aside from Elliot Rodgers, whose parents did call the police and warn the school, most of the parents are enablers. I mean these people kicked their son out of the niece’s birthday party because he was touching little children, but they didn’t call the cops. They didn’t have him committed. Now look. This isn’t weaponized incompetence. Weaponized incompetence is when you fake like you can’t do work to get out of labor somebody else is entitled to. A wife has a right to expect her husband to help keep up their living space or buy groceries. Some guy you’re dating has no reasonable expectation of you doing his chores or helping out around his house. That’s not weaponized incompetence, that’s drawing boundaries of behavior because men don’t hear words. I agree 100% with the advice. It’s a shame…

Because everyone knows women are supposed to do the performing! These men are doing what they’re supposed to do, just lying there and occasionally jackhammering. They have to get with a bunch of different women because they’re looking for the gymnast to do backflips on their dique or the ballet dancer to do splits on their dique or the yoga instructor who will bend into a pretzel on their dick. Men believe they will have the ultimate sexual experience when they meet the woman who performs the be…

Personally, I believe you should be getting married within a year after the proposal. Unless there’s some kind of extenuating circumstance where he’s deployed or something or y’all are both young, what is there for two independent adults to wait for? An engagement is a temporary stage, a stepping stone, it is not someplace to hang out. Barring something like the pandemic, if you have been engaged for six months and no wedding plans have been made, no deposits have been put down, no venues have b…

She’s a smart girl. Especially to be so young. She already wised up and saw this guy only valued her for sex and half the rent. He probably gaslighted her into moving in by claiming it was a way to test a relationship and see if it was ready for marriage. She just called his bluff. Nice work.

This is exactly why I live alone now. I had to pay a premium for it, but it’s all worth it. I remember at the start of the pandemic, I had roommates who didn’t fear man or God. They were out partying all the time, bringing people back to the house. Just being idiots. Of course they acted stupid before the pandemic. Once I came home just as one girl’s boyfriend or whoever that guy was ran down the stairs into the street to greet the delivery guy in her shorty robe. It was like something out of a …

But why does it have to be internalized racism? If this is what she gets treated like when she does date desi men, no wonder she’s not interested. I’m a black woman and I don’t date “my own” men. No. I don’t wish any harm on Kim K but that “we’re all in this together” sentiment as expressed in the post by Dworkin is exactly how black women get screwed. It completely ignores how intersectionality functions. The fate of one woman has never been the fate of all women, at evidenced by the fact that white women were slaveowners. Right now in the Ukraine, Ukrainian women citizens go first. African women go last, after Ukrainian men. I don’t see Ukrainian women protesting that.So fuck that bull…

He is @busive in his language and actions towards black women. The only reason he is showing KK a little human decency is because she looks like a woman he’d want to fuck. Men love the bait and switch! The most popular variation I have experienced is a nice first date at a restaurant then a lowball second date. See scrotes are wising up a little tiny bit. They know that you’re most likely not going to go for the foolishness right off the bat, so they really try to charm you on that first date and pay for everything and do what they’re supposed to do so you feel emotionally invested- then they come through with a lowball second date offer. I was once at a professional writers’ conference where this man read aloud a dystopian story where women were traded sexually as commodities. The very next man in line read a time-travel story where is a hero was kind of like Walter Jameson in that old twilight zone episode and there was a woman who was his sex slave in all the times he travelled to. I had never dated this guy, never talk to him, and he had a girlfriend. The point of the story is two weeks later I found out he was a serial cheater. This man is trash, but now I can share my new theory. There is no such thing as “like”. A man can never like you romantically. Men are very black and white, very all or nothing. They either love you or they don’t. There are no degrees of love. There is no “I love you but I’m not in love with you.” That’s something men say to make using you sound better. This happened after 9/11. This is where “burka p0rn” was born. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, men experience everything through their penis. IDK why people are so afraid of male virgins. My last serious bf was a virgin at 27. One of the best lovers I ever had and packing, too. I agree with SayNad, but I also wonder why we have to assume something is “wrong” with the man who will wait for you. I think that’s defeatist. Women always say that and I think it’s such a groundless fear. First, look at the orgasm gap. It appears most women aren’t having orgasms with men, married or single. What I’m learning from the ubiquity of these stories is that despite how these men may seem to care about you during the brief courtship, they already made up their minds not respect you to start with. Because the girl they actually respect they would have waited for for any amount of time, even years. Men are weird AF. I mean as soon as these men on the thread heard that this woman was uncomfortable in her videos, they ran to watch them and got off on her humiliation, so you’re probably right. Men say all of this bullshit about p0rn being popular because of sex and nudity, but it’s really the debasement. That’s why even though the actual videos may have different genres, p0rn is uniform. It’s pretty much all about degrading, humiliating and @busing women. That’s why there’s that disgusting kind that starts wit…

I think this guy said the friend is an essential stranger to make him sound better/more distant than he is. Do your work acquaintances drop by your house? Do they just tell you their deep dark secrets with no preamble? His coworker, who has no reason to lie about that, said he hasn’t said a word to anyone else. He must feel close to this guy. I have a feeling they’re a lot better friends than he’s letting on. He’s met this guy’s wife, knows quite a bit about their marriage. Either way. He could …

What I want the FDS women to notice is how the LV scrote’s dream girl is never getting treated better. In the first example, no matter how much that guy idealized his ex, apparently he didn’t treat her well enough to keep her in the first place or she wasn’t interested. Either way it was hardly true love. Not being his dream girl isn’t a statement on your worth, as the last example shows. Ugh. The man forces his five months pregnant wife to wake up in the middle of the night and go down on his sweaty unwashed junk, which even he said was disgusting, and then play with his sweaty unwashed ass, which he knows she hates and she is still wondering if she hurt his feelings by gagging and not being enthusiastic. She is still wondering if he’s the victim after he did her like that. Female socialization is a hell of a drug

But this is more than bad form. All those reality TV shows do background checks. They knew perfectly well what they were getting. Not only should they be sued for exposing the women on the show to this dangerous guy without their knowledge, they should be tried as accomplices if he does harm women he met on the show or through the show. It’s like what we say about OLD. We boycott because we don’t want to be used as the product. Women are being used as the product in reality TV and this is how th…

I never said and I don’t think she had the baby to get him back (nor did I say to the OP herself she should have aborted). I think she had the baby out of fear. Fear about age and fertility. Fear about the future. Fear once the husband cheated that the baby was all she had left. Women should never operate out of fear. We can have it all, but only if we really consider our decisions. I mean, we wouldn’t advise making a major decision with a man who cheated otherwise, right? We wouldn’t advise sta…

This woman says that he is “obsessed with her”. He threw a violent temper tantrum just because his own father told her she looks nice. She’s afraid to have a personal life because he might find out. Sounds like she’s in danger to me. And she thinks she’s in danger, that’s why she’s posting. And that’s why all these people are advising her on safety, because they see it, too. And now she gets to be terrified to date again while her ex is engaged to his affair partner and terrorizing her at her child birthdays. She gets to be tied to this man and he gets legal access to her address and personal info for 18 years. He gets to use their daughter as a football to control her. THANK YOU. It is completely selfish for women to have children with men like this. If you want a child, find a sane man. Adopt. Foster. Sperm donor. But how many children have been killed by their fathers to spite their mothers or to keep from paying child support? And that’s not counting the ones who are abused to death by men who are negligent and evil. Women need to think more about the effects their decisions are going to have on their children. It is not fair for you to give birth knowing t…

She should have aborted though. She said herself in the comments she thought about it and decided to have the baby. Notice how many of these stories are about the “hot “high school or college girlfriend who they’re going to idealize for the rest of their lives. Talk about problematic-what about The Children? At the time, I was reading all of her novels, that book made me stop. I think we need to worry less about the feeling he has for an ex and more about the way he treats you. That will tell you everything. Men are limited. They are pretty much incapable of lying with their actions. If they’re not excited about you, it’s going to show. It’s possible, but not a problem. You’re forgetting boys are considered people, unlike us women. Very good, lots of growth. One small note, in the future, if I were you, I would not tell men I was looking for an LTR or tell them that you’re waiting for sex. When you do that you’re giving them the playbook. They think if they act a certain way and rush the commitment they can get sex free and clear and then get out of there. Be the dumb Fox, don’t talk. This also explains why most men have terrible sex lives. Long before p0rn, men came up with a concept that sex with some thing that degraded women, hence the whole Madonna-Whore complex. Men continually show their “respect” to women they actually care about by not pressuring them/abstaining from sex with them. Every day I see IRL how much truth FDS is spitting. I got two truths in one this week, 1. There is no wall, and 2. Widowers ain’t shit. I know a man in his 80s, supposedly a man of integrity, a deacon in my childhood church whose wife died about a week ago. Before the week was out, he asked my godmother (88) on a date. That’s fine. I mean it’s a hot horrible mess because his wife is not even cold in the ground, but at least my godmother’s age appropriate for him. To me, it was just another insta…

*I completely agree with your message with the exception of the last couple of sentences. Motherhood is sold to women as much as being picked. While there can absolutely be a joy in motherhood, Society very intentionally says nothing about the dangers to your health in pregnancy and labor, not to mention the financial and emotional cost of raising children. Just like marriage, there is a reason women are choosing not to do this, to the extent lawmakers are trying to roll back our rights and forc…

This faux concern for Steve had me cracking up. He originally cheated on Miranda because they hadn’t had sex in six months. Miranda said to Charlotte i. a previous episode now they haven’t had sex in years. What do you bet Steve is cheating on her right now? And if a man cheated on a woman because she hadn’t touched him in years, everyone would applaud. Right on for Miranda, I say.

That’s not really what happened in Medea. She was basically Barbara the builder, she gave up everything for Jason, made him wealthy, made him famous, was with him for years. But when he took her back home and they had two sons together, then he had a chance to upgrade and marry the king’s young daughter. Medea was older than Jason and though he was glad to take advantage of her magic to get ahead in life, in his hometown, he joined everyone else in calling her an old witch and treating her terri…

Sadly, this isn’t unusual. There are many stories of women letting their boyfriends come around and harm their teen or prepubescent daughters and then kicking the girls out. They view the girls as lures for male attention and then as competition. A pick me has no boundaries. To her, even her daughters are just females and that means competition for male attention.

It’s not that the Pick Me is less attractive it’s that she feels less attractive. For some women, them being beautiful isn’t enough, you have to be ugly, too. They aren’t satisfied unless all male focus is exclusively on them. And like I said men are about control. The attention they give and their obsession is rarely just about attraction, it’s about who they feel is outside their influence. If you’re an FDS women, you’re actually going to attract that obsession and jealousy because they’re goi…

This is what is so important to take away from this case. Maxwell’s actions were extreme and repulsive, but her relationship dynamic with Epstein was identical to many “normal” women with their SOs or men they want to be their SOs. That girl last year who helped her boyfriend r@pe and dispose of her Spelman roommate because she said no to a threesome with the LV boyfriend was a pick me. Exactly! F@ck all this love dove nonsense. The women need to make sure men are bringing tangible benefits into the relationship. You can’t fake that. That way if he’s providing even if he starts clowning, you got something out of the deal and now you can leave. And it certainly easier to measure when he takes away the financial benefits versus trying to gauge every little emotion

Avoiding a guy like this is the easiest thing in the world, because even though he is the one who wants the relationship for the benefits, he’s going to act like the woman has dragged him into it. So let the guy do the work. Don’t plan anything, don’t call him, do not do anything to advance the relationship. If a man wants you he will be consistently treating you well over a long period of time and he will be escalating his great treatment of you all the time. A guy like this, who doesn’t want t…

The thing is before FDS, I didn’t realize how much I needed FDS because I always had high dating standards. But this group is a lot more than dating standards. What I have gotten most from it is the realization that men are looking for benefits, not love. Forget condoms. I think part of becoming an HV woman is learning how not to sleep around for comfort or male attention. Pregnancy prevention is only part of it. If it’s not OK to sleep with a man because of the dire possible consequences I have never had a clue why it’s OK to be with him in the first place. A lot of these women need to practice self-control, work on their self-esteem and stop using sex as a short cut or male attention as a panacea for their pain.

You’re not. Shoot, things are hard enough when all of your children have the same parents. Even then, one child still feels like someone’s being favored above the others, someone else got to do more than them, that their sibling is smarter or prettier. Friendship is friendship. Dating is dating. If you’re just dating for fun, you need to be a valuable resource so the woman in question will continue to want to see you. If you are an adult, if you can read, you can cook. I was making eggs and pancakes as a fun weekend activity by eight. Moved on to roasting chickens and putting together meals by 12. When an adult human being tells me they can’t cook, I judge them because it is not hard. When an adult man who has/had a responsible job says it, I know he’s just a lazy, entitled prick. If they could get the same praise for actually raising their own children and doing what they’re supposed to do that they do for a “rescuing” someone like an addict, they would. Honestly, what has helped me the most is this is approaching relationships just like men. I am hoping to strike it big in the not too distant future in my field. I’ve thought a lot about how marriage impacts women and money. I don’t think that women actually fear the break up of the marriage or whatever. They fear the consequences of it. They fear losing their home and being broke, they fear being taken advantage of, they fear losing everything they’ve worked for. And they’re right to fear that.…

But the thing about that kind of abusive dynamic is the guy lovebombs her, or changes from how he was in the beginning or he gaslights the woman into disbelieving her reality. I just don’t understand how a guy who was saying from the beginning he didn’t want you and treating you badly always and constantly trying to get away from you is abuse. Look at your average sitcom. That’s what men think I relationship is. That should buy them in a few dinners, if you’re a big Baller, and then she moves in and takes care of your entire life. Both of the writer of the letter and the advice columnist are absolutely disgusting, but there was this one kernel in the pile of crap, where the columnist calls the guy for wanting to be FWB: “But you’ve got to understand that even as friends, you still won’t like this girl. Friends hang out and help each other. If you only want sex, then you need to take the “friends” part out of the equation.” Truer words were never spoken. Men definitely need to stop using that friends term in vain.

Also, we don’t know how “lucky” she got. I’ve dated guys like this from OLD, where everything seemed like a fairytale for the first few months. This is way too soon to call. Not to mention the fact that they’re still just dating, they’re not engaged or married. This is early days, she will have to wait a long time to see if the relationship is actually a success

I had a profile like this when I still engaged in OLD. It was funny and challenging and showed off my accomplishments, contained references few men would get, because I am in a very advanced field and I only want someone who would understand that. And it did dramatically increase the quality of the messages that I received from men versus my nice girl profile which included my habits like gourmet cooking. You know what that “bitchy”profile did not increase? The actual quality of the men sending …

And let’s be real, they are lying about that, too. They a hundred percent intended to lie to you or cheat on you. Men like to play these solipsistic games by acting like your hurt is a byproduct, so they aren’t responsible for it because they didn’t “intend” for you to get hurt. Look Professor Hairsplitter, If you did something that you knew would hurt me on purpose, you intended to hurt me. The end.

I'm telling you so you can be ready. Unfortunately, I've lived this several times. People never want to take responsibility for their failings, never want to admit what they did wrong or be real about their negligence. If the will favors you, that will be your fault. Glad to have inspired this post 😉. It honestly never occurred to me to make one. It never occurred to me that most women have never thought of this as an option. I’m 32, never had PIV, first for spiritual reasons in undergrad but then because for most of my career as a grad student I simply couldn’t afford an abortion and wasn’t willing to risk my mental health with BC. And once I could afford abortion the pandemonium hit and my state shut down all “unnecessary medical services” meaning abortion…

But even that book, which is one of the most salacious and extreme examples, still leans heavily into Anne’s intellectual and political ability. And even that book at its worst only suggests she had one extra marital affair to save her life because the king couldn’t conceive a living son. I thought it was an interesting way of exploring the incest accusation. As we see from the fates of Henry’s other wives, having a male child was life and death. The king because of his syphilis could not give h…

I’m really into Tudor history and portrayals of Anne Boleyn. While this guy has some fascinating insights especially re. the poor law, he’s not saying anything that female historians/historical fiction writers haven’t been saying for decades. Pretty much everyone agrees putting her to death for incest/adultery/witchcraft was a show trial, meant to rid the king of his male political enemies who he beheaded with Anne and to shift focus from the fact he made similar accusations against his first wi…

Because I absolutely cannot take any chances with my body in this program, and also because up until the pandemic I pretty much never had any money for things like abortion, I follow this one simple rule: never have PIV sex. This guy is so weird. He praises how good his GF’s hair looks, but apparently he’s angry that the towel represents even minimal effort? He goes out of his way to say how superior she is to other women because she doesn’t blow dry her hair or use products like those silly broads, /s. But it’s like the towel represents the fact she does put in some effort and he’s angry about it. Is this a p0rn thing? What about skin care man, the forerunner of hair towel guy? There was a guy on AITA who went on and on about how his girlfriend had the most beautiful skin, I think she was an aesthetician or something, but in his opinion she had way too many skin products. But that’s literally about the interaction of economics, social forces, and patriarchy in forcing women into certain roles. Also I felt like he was distilling the trouble that women have interacting with men down to sex and relationships, which can be solved by the queering of relationships. And that’s absol…

This is so great. But every time I see the brunette I flashback to her unfortunate role on scrubs where she was dating Ted, who is old enough to be her father, bald and gross. I think so, just in different ways. Think about the popularity of the trope of a guy being into his best friend’s girl like you see in the media, e.g. Jessie’s Girl. How many times has the “clean up man” been creeping on his friend’s girl, telling his friend that the girl isn’t good enough for him and she’s ugly or she’s boring and as soon as they break up, he gets with her? Or getting the best friend to break up with a girl because he doesn’t want to be alone and he hates that his friend is in …

The older I get, the more I discover, the real truth is that men DGAF about children unless they are ped0s. Children are a means to an end for men. They are pawns which can be used to exact control over the mother or trophies to show off to feel like a big man or good man, never ppl with needs and thoughts of their own.

Brilliant deduction. And I feel “control” here is a bit of a euphemism. There’s a reason that men who are still able to extract or feel they can extract sexual favors and return for supporting their own child don’t complain about child support. Many of them pay extra. But a man who no longer has access to his ex’s body in return for supporting his own child feels cheated and is angry.

Pretty much. Something about this piece and the tone reminded me of the gang r*pe scene in Half a Yellow Sun. The teenage boy character is trying to be “cool” and helps assa@lt a girl. I was really on the fence about reading this book before, but I’m going to download it right now. I’ve had two of this type of men and I have to say that they have been the worst relationships of my life. Cost me years of peace and sanity.

When they finally became “friends”, Sally hung around being Harry’s emotional sponge, even though clearly, she wanted more. He talked to her about all the women he was sleeping with and she listened. Harry wasn’t thinking about her-he was still in love with his ex-wife, his real dream girl. And after a year/ year and a half like this, they fell into bed together and Harry ran like the wind. Sally literally said he acted like it didn’t mean anything to him (newsflash: he wasn’t acting). And final…

I’m very similar. I’m extremely introverted and I’m quiet and withdrawn with strangers. But I’m quite bubbly and at ease with my own family and friends. Men who have seen me in that atmosphere first actually get offended I don’t treat them the same as my family and best friends! “You’re not really this quiet! Be like you were before!” It comes down to two things. First of all, men are boring. They expect women to be free entertainment to them. If you are reserved, it means that they can’t hide b…

If you read the book version of “sleeping with the enemy,” the couple is just lower-middle class and when the woman escapes she’s not stealing apples from the next-door neighbors tree to make a pie, she’s stealing apples to survive. You know, I agree and I expand that to include men with divorced parents, especially those who had acrimonious divorces. I have experienced it too many times. Because of what they saw it in their formative years these men are often toxic AF. Things may be sweet while everything is going well but when things start to go badly or even if you have a fight, these guys go into fight or flight mode because that’s what they saw growing up and they just escalate everything so rapidly. It’s weird.

This is all very true especially if you’re getting married older. If you get married in your late 30s or 40s there are only a couple of years before your spouse’s parents reach retirement age/are geriatric age. The words “you think”. I just realized, they never proceed anything good. It’s always either an intentional misunderstanding of your point, e.g. “you think women are always angels and men are evil!” or it’s some challenging of your standards, “what makes YOU THINK you deserve this job, that house, this life?” The person already knows what you think, they’re just questioning your right to think it. Leaving out the underaged girls and women who live in conservative countries where women can’t have casual sex, that’s still like a half a billion. Women need to learn that of a man pulls away early one of three things happening: 1. He’s ghosting 2. He’s manipulating you (I.e. lovebomb cycle) 3. He’s leaving you on hold to see if there’s anything better. When there’s not, he will circle back around to you. None of these three scenarios is going to lead to a happy ending. No matter why men aren’t being consistent in the beginning, cut them off.

Here’s another, more recent example. The Red Cross aid workers in Haiti were “paying for sex” aka withholding the aid until they forced poor, desperate women and children into sex acts. The Red Cross claims it was 21 people facilitating, but there are reports of the numbers being much much higher, as well as there being a child sex trafficking ring run through the UN aid workers. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2018/02/24/world/icrc-sex-scandal/index.html

They've been talking about that for years. It's not going to happen. First, there hasn't been a draft for men in over 30 years. They don't need one for women. Second, the US birth rate is steadily declining. They aren't going to further endanger their prospects by sending women to war en masse.

Wow, the scrote lurkers really came out of the woodwork on this one. Apparently, they saw the title and thought I penned some kind of Cool Girl missive about how porn is totally fine and if you don't let your man punch you in the throat until you pass out and have threesomes like Jenna Jameson, you're lame. Now they're screeding into the void how they aren't really violent r*pists, it's a FaNtAsY, but the mods are doing an amazing job of blocking their comments before they show up.

I read the article, it appears to me she didn’t refuse to condemn FGM, she basically said the reporter questioning her about it because she’s Somali and Muslim is Islamophobic and she’s right. In this capacity, she is a United States Congresswoman. It’s quite xenophobic that they keep questioning her about all of these perceived Muslim issues. She said she’s constantly being asked to publicly rebuke Hamas and Al-queda, etc. and she’s tired of it. I feel that. How much of an issue is FGM in the U…

Hmm, I’m of two minds about this. Definitely believe that girls should be celibate in college. Young men are the worst, they are sexually inexperienced and most of them are being educated by porn nowadays. Plus, college campuses are notorious vectors of STIs. Not worth the risk. We should have test boundaries just like we have fake insecurities for the “blood in the water “test. A test boundary should be a real boundary, but it should be such an obvious boundary that someone will never mistakenly violate it. For example, because I share my first name with a lot of people in my family, I have a family name that I go by within my family. No one outside of my family calls me that, ever. I do not allow it. If a guy even jokingly called me by my family name, I would always n…

You know, I often see articles about this phenomenon and it really has very little to do with weight and more to do with low self-esteem. I know a girl in school who was nuts about a guy who literally said to her face that he only wanted to sleep with her but he was constantly trying to get into a serious relationship with her best friend. No, leave it up! Just the stats are excellent actual dating and marriage strategy. Where he’s talking about things which are objective and not subjective, like the age where men are more likely to marry or the circumstances (ie men whose friends just married are more likely to marry) the advice is invaluable. Something doesn’t have to be perfect to be useful. And also I think it’s good to see that even though this guy is obviously misogynistic, even he as a researcher confirmed with facts and fi…

Here’s one: the author’s argument short, ugly or awkward men aren’t married because women are shallow. “We talked to dozens of men in their late thirties and early forties who had given up on the idea of marrying. Most lacked one of three things-looks, height, or social skills. They had been rejected so often that they had despaired of ever finding a woman who would love them or even put up with them. Many had been treated cruelly by women… These men have been rejected and demeaned for years by …

It’s funny, because I read this article before. I thought some of the points it made were quite misogynistic, but for all of that, this point is definitely FDS-aligned: “ There is a possible drawback to dating a man aged 40 or older. Many men at that age begin to look at women and marriage as a poor financial investment. There’s no other way of putting it. When you ask them why they’re not married, they tell you they spent most of their lives building a nest egg, and they’re not about to share i…

I’m not agreeing with him on that. I already said, if we were in a different sub, my comment would’ve been different. In the childfree sub, I would’ve said have a vasectomy or stop having PIV sex. But this sub is for women. There are no men here for me to say that to. For us FDS ladies the best advice is to have sex and children with committed, vetted partners. Having children with uncommitted, resentful men is not going to improve your life and that’s why we’re here, right?

I don’t understand what’s wrong with this. I mean yes, obviously it’s up to the women’s discretion whether or not she wants to have a child and his feelings have no bearing on her body. But I’ve always thought it was the height of silliness for a woman to have a child with a man she’s not married to, especially a guy who said he didn’t want the baby. Is it your right to have a baby after that? Absolutely! You’re the only one in charge of your body. But it is just willful self-deception at that p…

What a shitty therapist. I mean, I get it. It’s a lot easier to get and keep clients if you give them advice that keeps everyone around them happy and gives them a temporary high of acceptance. But what is actually going to serve your client, is advice that will make them their best selves and give them strong boundaries. No, they aren’t going to have as many people around, but the ones they do have will be the very best of the best.

Make him be better. Men only do what they are required to do.So don’t tell him you “need help”. That implies that the things he’s about to take over our naturally your job and he’s doing some sort of favor. Just say what you need done and let him figure out how to do it

Yes! Too often we women see a shell we like and we imbue it with all these great characteristics and then fall in love with the persona we created! We're in love with the projections of our own imaginations, not the men themselves.

The sad part is, the wife is probably touting the story as a fairytale. “The FWBship that became a marriage.”

This is exactly why I do not believe in cohabitation. It’s not just that men are far more likely not to marry you and you’re more likely to get divorced if you do get married. It’s not even just that men abuse your emotional labor and take you for granted. It is that your lives become so enmeshed automatically! If you are just dating, you see a man on your terms. You get to choose when and how you engage with him and if you feel less than your best, you don’t have to be bothered. Your home is yo…

And the reason he wrote a letter is because he probably thought he was blocked by email. This is a very toxic example of “if he wanted to, he would.” He has the energy to handwrite a letter and send it to you through the post office, but he won’t exert the minimal effort it takes to treat you with respect. Because he doesn’t want to

You might want to try just focusing on sensation. “That feels good. I like the way this feels against my skin, it feels good to stroke that or cup this.” Focus on what makes you feel good and dismiss all thought of how your body appears to others.

Lol there’s nothing too high about any of these standards. People are just afraid they won’t be able to fob their loser sons and brothers off on you. Seriously, the only people who are mad at your standards are people who don’t meet them-and this includes women! When I was in college, I was posting about some of my standards on Facebook (this was years ago). I was shocked on some of my male relatives attacked my post. But when I told my parents, they just reminded me these were LVM mostly unmarr…

*This is just general information, but there’s really no need for any woman to go to jail. If a woman was attacked randomly on the street by a man she had no connection to, and she probably was wearing a mask because of the plague, if she defended herself and walked away, the police would have no way of finding her. There’s no connection between her and the man, they’ve never exchanged a text or an email, because he’s a stranger. Any man who’d attack a woman in the street has a long history of v…

I’d add his family could be sweet as pie because they want some tough emotional labor from you. When I was growing up I knew a married man who introduced his (unknowing) mistress to his mom and dad. They were having her over for Sunday dinner all the time and everything. They helped him keep her totally in the dark about the fact he was married. Why? Easy. He was about to get divorced and they knew “cheating man with no prospects” wouldn’t win custody. But they knew a bit down the line him being…

I met a gorgeous girl last weekend and all the women at the event I met her at were talking about her behind her back because she openly received interest from two different guys at the party. As far as I know, she didn’t so much as shake hands with these two, but from the way these women were acting, you would think she’d fucked them both right there on the dance floor. The gag is she’s got men chasing her, while the women so worried about respectability and being NLOG are bitter. They need to …

Yes, a man who is truly “nice” is never going to see any negative connection between his personality and women not liking him. If a man ever says “I’m nice BUT…”, RUN. What he is saying is he’s pretending to have a certain personality but he’s pissed it’s not getting him what he wants.

Just an aside, it’s really not too late to sue him over ownership of some of that stuff. Even the threat of a lawsuit on some nice stationary is often enough to generate the results that you need. Men like this are bullies, they’re not going to back down unless there’s the threat of a real consequence (ie jail time or lawsuits.)

I applaud her honesty, but anytime somebody is comfortable enough to tell you to your face that they are jealous of you, and they don’t end with some sort of constructive follow up, like they are going to go to therapy or change their own behavior so they don’t have to be jealous anymore, you need to run. Start phasing her out. And just an aside-don’t let her babysit your kids. Pickmeishas are dangerous. They exercise poor judgement and give LVM every benefit of the doubt. She will leave your ki…

You’re absolutely right about men having to opt in to hard experiences. But even then they get the thing of greater value. Take military service or being a LEO. In theory these are extremely dangerous jobs that men do to benefit society. In reality it is a space where men who can’t function in regular society get to exercise power over those who are weaker than them through violence. I’m trying to figure out what men do that is actually a sacrifice, that benefits the world and not themselves. I …

Why is number two my life? I dumped an LVM after a couple of dates because he was complaining about how unfair the work world was to him, a white man. I’m a black woman. Now I was giving out a little bit of grace because he was a healthcare professional and this late pandemic. But as soon as he started talking about how things were more fair during his parents’ era aka the 60s, I politely corrected and dumped him. More fair to who exactly and at the expense of whom?

My girl said, “poverty is a sexually transmitted disease.” And it’s true. Dating, marrying, and having children with poor men is literally the largest indicator of poverty for women. Women can pick and choose, why they would choose to pick a man who is going to destroy their lives is beyond me.

Yes, people forget it was Marilyn Monroe who coined that phrase. A lot of men, probably most of them she encountered, wanted to enjoy her pretty face and figure without caring about her history as an abuse victim. All of her issues with substances, etc. stem directly from that history. She was tired of men just being out for what they could get from her and not caring about her mental health issues.

You want to forgive? Forgive yourself. Too often for giving the abuser becomes about blaming yourself. Give yourself grace. You were the victim and you are now the survivor.

This show was pick me central. But even with that attitude, there’s something I have to praise about the show, the women’s sexual boundaries. Charlotte had two different boyfriends pressure her for oral and anal sex. And this was in 1999, season 1. She said NO and her friends, who were far more sexually liberal backed up her right to say no. As much as they had sex, they were good about not doing things just for guys’ pleasure and demanding basic respect. Miranda dated a guy who was addicted to …

So once, years ago I was dating this guy. Decent enough, so he seemed. One day, he didn’t call. Odd. I waited and a few days went by. I doubled texted, nothing. I figured he was ghosting and I moved on. TWO YEARS LATER, my phone buzzed at 6 am. It was the same scrote asking if I had moved away to Atlanta. I had been talking about moving when we were dating. I couldn’t believe it. Not only did he have the temerity to text me like nothing had ever happened, he didn’t even pretend to have common co…

At least it’s out in the open now. All that’s necessary for these abuses to flourish is for them to continue to be hidden. For years I don’t think most people knew she was in a conservatorship. Now that it’s front page news, even though she didn’t become free at this juncture, she has a better chance of becoming free very soon, and her father as well as the judges are going to be a lot more circumspect because they don’t wanna get caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

I really love these. I like fantasy but I’ve never been able to get into Tolkien because it is such high fantasy with so much world building. I like more medium fantasy like Chronicles of Narnia. Yes there are mythical creatures, but they’re all still operating on an earthlike premise. This makes Tolkien’s work so accessible and I feel like I can actually start reading his stuff. So thanks 😊
