Not looking to rush into marriage or cohabitation at all. But it raises the question of what exactly the end goal of dating is.
/r/Divorce_Men24/11/25 08:27 PM

Lmao I can see you’ve never been married. Scurry back to your yaoi now
/r/Divorce_Men24/11/25 08:11 PM

Watched most of his stuff and it’s good. He’s hardline about staying single forever though.

Yep, if we do it the behavior is a pattern. If they do it, it’s a reaction to us.

You’re pretty spot on with your interpretations. Now I’m curious about the state of Dutch women these days.

Yeah I got labeled a narcissist for setting very reasonable boundaries like “don’t scream at me in public” and “don’t make out with your friends at parties.” The term is so watered down by dumbass western women that it means nothing at all now.

For me it’s any of the Bravo Real Housewives series. Glorifies women being parasitic, materialistic leeches.

How did they find it? Did you tie the account to your primary email or something?

Don’t advertise it until a few dates where a woman can get a sense of your character and intent. Then it gets easier to frame your story to her.

A child will only make this scenario worse. Do NOT respond to ultimatums. I did and it they chip away at your boundaries and autonomy and they’ll just end up leaving anyways. Let her put her money where her mouth is if she wants to throw that shit around. Good luck to her in finding someone to impregnate her in two years .

Yeah I gave my wife too much leeway because I just thought it’s what you do. But they’ll seize it and get you twisted up. They will sit and wait and lick their chops for the opportunity for years. Absolutely diabolical creatures!!

I’d gamble your wife was telling you to make more money too while also complaining about hours. Cant win with them.

Every single divorced woman says this bullshit. Recently, I asked three of them the definition of a narcissist and they gave me three wildly different answers. She is just trying to poison the well and hurt you. Also, a clinical narcissist would not be capable of doing the introspection you’re doing right now. Classic projection from these broads that if you interfere with giving them the material goods they’re scheming after, then you’re a “narcissist.”

Curious as to what the women in your support group said? I also attended a group like that and was surprised that a lot of women were supportive of me. Luck of the draw probably,

Condoms don’t fully protect you from a fwb either. For the most part, sex workers are safer, cheaper, and way less drama. A lot of guys in this sub have been arrested when their wives put out a bullshit TRO on them, so maybe they’re fine with the risk.

Your wife isn’t your friend anymore. Learn from my mistake and don’t try to get any type of reassurance or soothing from her. Keep all communications brief and in writing. Don’t say emotional things

Her family is always going to take her side during a divorce. It’s just the nature of the game. I loved my wife’s family to a degree, but cut them off completely when this process began. I would have been delusional to think they would have taken my side .Have your friends come to support you throughout this process at all? Then they’re either on your side or not truly friends. You’ve got to stop placing so much value on external validation man. It’s one of the hardest lessons I had to learn thr…

Yeah, hopefully you don’t have kids and can go no contact. Even my LGBT friends think people who go to pride are losers. If they didn’t like you, you should probably take that as a compliment. It also just sounds like your ex was trying to manipulate that guy into coming out (no pun intended.) It doesn’t sound like there’s any evidence they didn’t like you. Also if they didn’t? Who cares what a bunch of catty limp wrists thinks, they don’t govern your life.

He personally gave me a gift. I had given so much to her over the past few months. Blowing up my life in NYC to move to her midwestern hometown, spending my life savings on a house she asked for, scraping together money for a new TV she demanded even though our liquidity was stretched. I thought it was fair that I do one thing for myself. But she tried to claim that everything was shared between us, while keeping all her assets separate. The arrangement she had agreed to (I didn’t force this) wa…

Take your ex off a pedestal. She doesn’t love you if she cheated and ended your marriage and impacted your children to pursue an AP. I know that it stings but try to think reasonably here. Put that energy into your new girl who treats you better or don’t string her along if she really is a wonderful girl.
/r/Divorce_Men08/09/25 01:10 AM

I’m really hoping there is some cosmic justice for women who rewire their brains like this. Like, once they’re all alone supporting themselves and can’t blame anyone but themselves for their unhappiness. Or bringing that tik tok “men are trash” bullshit into a new relationship surely can’t work well.

My ex sent me a text after leaving about how living in her new studio apartment with an ill behaved dog was “empowering”. But I still had bank statements coming into our budgeting app and saw that her dad had helped her with two months of rent lmao

Dating apps actually worked okay for me when looking for casual hookups. Just be prepared to enforce boundaries and cut these women off liberally. It is a lot of work, but not hopeless. I’m not sure you should be using them if your goal is long term though.

I’m 31 and similar situation. You need to cut contact with her completely if you can. Then allow time to begin the healing process. Block her on every social media outlet, ideally also any of her friends who might post her. Delete her photos, emails, texts. Block her number if you can and perform all the legal task through email. She doesn’t deserve any access to your life anymore. Sounds extreme, but this woman doesn’t love you and is no longer your friend. Cutting the tumor out of your life is…

Thanks brotha! I also lived in Warrensburg for a bit. I’ll be coming south of you to Guatemala for a while in December. It’s imperative you keep your cool, start documenting every interaction with her, get a lawyer. She can try to get full custody all she wants but that might not mean dick in a court of law if you can remain composed and work with your legal team to construct a factual defense.

This is sort of my point. Why would I risk being with people who can silently check out because of their own individual happiness while they allow me to work my ass off while they plot.
/r/Divorce_Men25/06/25 11:22 AM
3

Wow, are you me? Eerily similar, except I’m not attempting to get her back.
/r/Divorce_Men24/06/25 11:33 PM
2

I honestly had no idea. This is good to know. I think she was projecting about her leaving.
/r/Divorce_Men24/06/25 09:52 PM
6

Just cut her off man. No kids? No maintenance? It’s not petty to go NC, it’s for your healing
/r/Divorce_Men24/06/25 06:50 PM
6

I was checking in with her all the way up to the end and she didn’t ever give me much. It takes two people to maintain a relationship and things frankly feel a lot easier now that she’s gone. Maybe it’s for the best, but it does make me pretty hesitant to ever overextend myself or co-habitate again. I certainly won’t ever legally marry again - way too much financial and legal risk weighing on if one person dips or not.
/r/Divorce_Men24/06/25 06:21 PM
3

Yeah I think I just chose poorly and it may be too late for me. Being divorced is like a black stain upon you, no truly good woman would tolerate it. I’ll just have to reflect on this and become comfortable with myself and solitude.
/r/Divorce_Men24/06/25 05:47 PM
4

No, like she called me a left abruptly over the phone.
/r/Divorce_Men24/06/25 05:37 PM

That’s not opposed to what I’m saying though. Why would somebody willingly get back into a situation where their partner won’t communicate openly and silently plots to leave while they do the hard work?
/r/Divorce_Men24/06/25 04:57 PM

I definitely did. I’m not through it yet but I’ve faced the pain. I looked inwards, and learned what values are important to me moving forward. I learned to enjoy solitude. Could give a fuck if I let another one of these snakes into my life.
/r/Divorce_Men13/06/25 06:42 PM

She actually left first and I had to move my stuff out to sell it. It’s under contract rn. I don’t think she’s going to make a move for it, surprisingly. I think I’d have a good case legally if she did bc we only owned it for a two months and I paid the down payment. Worst case I lose $30k, it’s just the cost to never see her or her family again which is fine with me.
/r/Divorce_Men13/06/25 05:28 PM

I don’t have kids thankfully so I’m going to go no contact once this is done and go elsewhere for a new start. In a sense she did me a favor by pulling this before kids .

If you can show me a woman capable of taking accountability, I’ll chop my own dick and balls off right now.

All of them are the same. Hard to not recognize patterns as I date casually now.

Mine starting fucking an unemployed guy a week after we separated and probably sooner than that so I feel you. Send them back to the streets brother!

That’s so sick man. Hoping to be there soon. Not having to hear complaining, materialistic desires, and criticisms all the time has already helped my mental state.

It’s make you feel crazy when you’re in it. The divorce sucks but I’m so happy to be out.

That’s some bullshit behavior on their part. Never going to cohabitate or marry one of these snakes again. A rescue dog is much more deserving of my time and effort.

Hang in there buddy. I’m early on in the process and it’s tough to hear that you’re still dealing with this years down the road.

The weird thing is she had a good relationship with her dad but the rest of the family dynamic was fucked. The dad was a provider and I respected him a lot, but he accepted open disrespect and belittling from the women of his household and that’s what my wife was accustomed to. The guy ended up being a shackled, dead-eyed puppet.

Thanks, I’m already doing both and not making much headway. Cold showers and cold plunges are the only thing that cause temporary relief.

Chill with the negative self talk bro. You need to process the emotions, it doesn’t make you a pussy. Yes, this was a hell of a ride though. You need to go talk to a trauma therapist or get into EMDR.

Same here man. I believed I was bad because she told me it so many times.

My wife was on tik tok consuming stuff that rotted her brain and then told everyone I was a narcissist after I blew up my life and bought her a house. A lot of women truly have dog brains.

She shouldn’t mean anything to you anymore bro. Hopefully she gets dogged out and never called back

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
