I have done a lot of that and it's easy to say but I had to go through a lot of different people for years to finally find that group I would like to say that a person should not have to do that because we should at least try to find common ground with all people even the ones that we don't allow to. But as a nerd it gets tiring when you have other men constantly pester you because you're bigger and taller than them so they expect you to be an expert on fighting in sports and everything else. Do…

I hate using women as a measure of success but I still date around Zoe. Clearly they're finding something attractive about me and of course I don't advertise all my Reddit stuff It's just something I've noticed especially when we compare. I know you guys have your own unique challenges but when it comes to who actually makes the relationships and starts it, it's usually on the man I was out on a date and my friends kept insisting that the man has to go after them. I asked him why they think that…

I didn't understand, I just get a little frustrated when it seems like a lot of women's fear is overlap with men's but there is a certain freedom that women have been expressing it because if a man expressed it were looked at as weak. Right now it would be so refreshing to find a girl that wasn't so into casual sex but with the city I'm in that's kind of the norm. I'm so sorry if I came out too frustrated and I completely relate to what you just typed out I have learned that it is a matter of co…

I have but you got to admit that women have it easier Any one thing about a man could be an instant deal breaker even if he had all the other things right Which is hard to tell because I am a man A lot of women don't understand You all are trying so hard to weed out what you proceed to be as creepy and find a Sweet spot while we are trying to succeed with throwing a shot and even then, Just because you get the girl does not mean that she was the right girl which I have unfortunately learned

Like when he was going through that speed dating scene. I felt like that was the most relatable thing ever because I've been on dates where I thought the woman will be super intelligent or open and it turns out she was the opposite or she talked too much or she was a party girl Keep in mind whatever she is is okay and I don't actively judge her for that but as a guy I'm expected to act my super best and when I see a woman not even trying to act her best it does kind of make me feel a little bett…

Of course not but as a fellow artist you can understand how much art and media influences us Art imitates life and I will go on to argue that life imitates art as well. That movie is perfect for showing how dating actually is because we like to think that it's always on the man and if something bad happens on the date it's always the man's fault. Both men and women still think that dating and sex is something that men do to women instead of it being a mutually agreeable thing. If I were to tell …

Exactly and as a young man who grew up within feminism I was very patient and I'm still proud of myself for how much I took from them and from the outside world but after a while you can't take anymore I literally protested black lives matter and feminist stuff when I was in school but I had a mental breakdown and I could not take anymore because Young men do not get the same amount of sympathy and empathy from society. FEMINIST WILL TELL YOU THAT IT'S REALLY WOMEN THAT DON'T BUT EVERY STATISTIC…

Or it could because like men a lot of women seem to think that they have something that makes them inherently better and then justify it by having high standards and then wonder why they can never find anybody or only find crazy All my life I have never seen a woman actually date what she had in her standards. Most women standards seem to manifest within the top 5% of men. And this is coming from women who are completely average and come from the same places and communities that their male count…

Anybody from any side can say that I'm very much in the middle now because I hate the conservatives and the liberals and I can say that because I grew up as a black Democrat surrounded by black feminist With everything that we know about the crisis that's happening with young boys you would think that feminists will be the first people on that but instead they make it worse I don't like the mindset but it's a very logical conclusion when you spent your whole life trying to do everything right an…

Most young men do know what makes them attractive it's just that it's never automatic or easy like a woman can attract a man Men can't just walk into a room and use their physical attraction to attract people and it's very rare that it happens But a lot of traits that do make a man attractive could easily sway the other side and be unattractive to some women I'm pretty nerdy and smart and intelligent myself and sometimes that does turn off some women but other women enjoy it

Look I empathize with your story because I went through something similar and in the same vein that's what makes a frustrating because you're trying to come off as elitist as if you're the only one that takes responsibility and this ambitious as if most people already are not dead I see this flower with a lot of people who are self received as working hard or ambitious because it almost gives them this type of moral high ground over those who they deem who do not which is just sad
/r/ExRedPill28/06/21 10:50 PM

And I'm tired of you always trying to frame my arguments as me lacking responsibility as if me and most other people already aren't trying to improve your life You can improve your life and self improve and complain Some complaints are warranted and as a feminist I'm pretty sure you would understand that and also as a feminist I could easily turn that logic around on women Stop acting ignorant

Exactly I do believe most guys do have competent skills and confidence but I do think biology does have a strong play because most women are still going to try to find the best guy out of a lot of guys who are already confident or strong Recently my cousin said I should have kept up with sports and art because then I would have been like a god I get his reasoning because he's super short and I'm 6'6 and buff. Social power. More eager to listen. Safe spaces. Safety nets. And affirmative action which I really don't think is bad at all but it's just an example. I don't think women are seeing posters plastered saying women are trash at college campuses

No I mean you argue a lot and have a lot of similarities and that's just another one I don't mean the art itself In my head I have tons of solutions maybe you're just not listening I'm not the one that is exhausting. I empathize with you but sometimes it feels like beating a dead horse. Some of the things you say make sense in theory but as a guy it just does not ring true in my experience.

I have but I have let them slip through my fingers either by not trying hard enough or trying too hard and as a guy you never know which is which. Some of these girls are straight up did not go after because I feel like it would have been too good to be true

Kind of. I would say on max out on the old skill at least 80% but the other 20% that I'm lacking is a lot of traditional manly traits that are considered attractive I can hold my own but I feel like it gets muddled because how you perceived is a big teddy bear who was sensitive. I literally see women lose the attraction for me and I reveal my real personality

Women are college educated because they get a lot more assistance and I know I can't talk as I'm a minority and I used affirmative action but even still a lot of men are disen carriage to keep going There is a lot of anti male sentiment in academia also and that's one of the reasons why I also dropped out Combine normal pressure supply with being in an environment that is going to be hostile to you because of what a small percentage of men have done

No!! men are shamed because it's expected that a man is supposed to be a Superman and have finances and confidence and everything else in order otherwise he's a loser and the above comment kind of proves it right Right now I live in my grandparents and even though I know most women around my level are also in a similar situation, the fact that I as a man am living with my parents is going to be a deal-breaker and knock off points from me

When I think of rejection I think of a man going up to a woman and the woman actively saying that she does not want him or she is disinterested Actions are being made in communication is happening If I go get one girl out in the club I can see how I rejected all the other girls but it's hard for me to think of it that way as a guy because guys have to play it by a numbers game This is not neediness or desperateness but as a guy you cannot really put all your energy or eggs in one basket. Forced to be coerced into something means that you are playing a part or at least letting yourself out victim to something. Women have agency and we got to stop seeing dating at something men do to women especially since we're supposed to be equal or at least trying to see things easily I'm not saying that they are compatible but rejection isn't just something that one just gets over and it depends on what type of rejection. I'm years later still pretty hateful at a girl who rejected me openly a…

When people say that women have to do all of this is the logical fallacy because it is assumed that women are doing something inherently harder which is not true You attract with your beauty and Grace and all those other stereotypical things. And most of that is something that you are born with. For years of doing that I feel like something must be wrong with me because I've yet to feel like I have enough figured out I've been trying to figure out where is this sweet spot between being cool and confident and understanding enough to finally get the girl and I must be crazy because I just have not found it I ignored what I couldn't control and I worked on a lot of things and yet I find myself in this place still. I understand them and I understand what you're trying to argue but what I'm saying is I don't agree with it because you're trying to make it seem like getting ready for a day and trying to look attractive it's only something that women do No one is making anybody also take so much time to get ready. Every woman is different in every man is different and my morning routine or whatever could look very different than the next dudes. That's a fallacy and I'm not saying that you don't put in work but that does not mean that you put in more work than the man I got to make sure that I am confident and smooth and also clean in my hair is straight and nails and cologne. I wish I could just do the soft stuff like make sure I look right because for guys we got to do that and leave the conversation and appear confident

But why is this narrative always that men are just inherently either creepy or so bad at social interactions that they come off as uncalibrated because it's just not something I have been seeing If most of my exes were not attractive they will probably be seen as socially awkward. I would like for men sexuality to be looked at with dignity and care and empathy and sensitivity instead of looking at it as something disgusting or something needing to be fixed I am an adult man at 24 and I'm still finding it so confusing that women are actually attracted to me And I'll be honest with you, growing up it felt like it was so out of left field for a woman to actually be sexually attracted to a man because the narrative that I saw within the home and with comments and with media a…

Yes there are tons I had a really refreshing White gay feminist friend who even admitted to me that a lot of white women seem to forget that they had just as much control and privilege as their white counterparts simply because they had the combination of both being white and being women A lot of original feminists did not want black men to have the right to vote because they realize that a black man would have something they did not have first and it was perceived to be wrong because they were …

Why do you feel the need to defend feminism so hard? It doesn't matter if the definition is something else If most feminists are actively hostiles and do not listen and actively try to be as sexist as possible to men while using flashy language and acting like their transgressions are not sexist, do you not see how some people could question or even outright deny this type of thinking even though the original origin of the ideology may be rooted in something good I have a lot of examples but I f…

I agree with you and a lot of these old gender norms are ingrained in All peoples regardless of what they identify as A lot of these things are subconscious Just asked a lot of people assume a woman must be good at cooking, a lot of people just assume a man must be having sex all the time I'm pretty sexually selective myself and it takes a lot of emotion for me to get to that point with a girl. I did not say that You defending feminism is an example of the no true Scotsman by pointing out the different types of feminism which I understand but the feminist who are good make no qualms about staying quiet about the feminist who caused damage and misinformation and borderline misandry If people's opinions were more consistent than we probably wouldn't even be having this conversation and I do not expect this to happen soon but when I see a hypocrisy and now I have to call it out I was a fe…

What I'm saying is spousal abuse is thought to be something men just do to women but statistics say it's about 50/50 Because of that number should we go around assuming all men and women are potential abusers? The answer to all of that should always be no because it is highly unfair and most likely it's not even accurate if you judge somebody that way It's hard for me to describe because you're a woman but give me a second I need to find some statistics and articles

The ones true scotman fallacy is used when someone criticizes any group but it's easy to say that it's just a few and I would even agree to that point but people only say that it's just a few when they're trying to defend the problem at its hole A lot of extreme feminists are created by feminism because there is a lot of overlap between that and heavy misandrist tones And listen to me I agree with 90% of what feminist believe in I'm just waiting for the day to that to be consistent with every ge…

Exactly most sexual predators are men but that is way far off the record because most men are not sexual predators And no it's not inherent to men and even as a young man I could see that and I do agree with you to a point that men are taught to be sexually aggressive but that is because acting like the opposite or even being perceived as the opposite usually ends up being perceived as unattractive I was raised by second and third wife. I'm not assuming women want to approach but refuse to but I do believe that a lot of women seem to have very convenient reasons and there I say excuses instead of actually stating that they don't have to approach If you are to be assaulted or raped it will most likely be by somebody you know and I'm not discounting the stranger men or other men don't do things but as a big black man I have had to use this reasoning to counter other arguments about sexual assault That is universal for most people…

I'm not working this interpreting it I'm just wondering how absolute all of this is I used to think a girl was super creepy whenever I interacted with her way back when I was 20 but after maturing and later looking at my own mind and hers I no longer view her in that category I imagine how many people have judged or labeled somebody something especially in the world of dating that may have been wrong or even exaggerated as I have been on both sides of it

My question is why is it always assumed that a guy is up to no good and why is the immediate assumption is that he must be creepy or some other negative trait For years I used to think I was with a lot of women thought but after looking back it was just that I was awkward and the girls I wouldn't have to work just as equally awkward and immature It's easy to label a young guy that because a lot of women don't realize they don't have to do the things guys have to do to attractive partner.

That must go for a lot of people then because most of my dates and ex-girlfriends still live with their parents and grandparents as we're all still in our twenties and either fresh out of high school or college This girl in question lives with her aunt

I'm not exactly scanning each person's temperament or habits good or bad when I meet them especially if it's just a first date Believe me I did not know she was drinking until she told me. I kept telling her to slow down but she kept saying she had it and she lives this type of life XD

That's all I'm around She's a gang banger too and my father is as well I live in a crime ridden city and I come from the hood Both my parents were drug dealers luckily I have not started that yet

I know I shouldn't but I spend so many years for giving and forgiving and trying to be as open as possible and in the same vein men are not given the same Mercy. If one man acts bad then we all have to pay for it unfortunately

In my experience is actually women using that excuse Any small thing could be misconstrued into neediness and I have had so much experience with it I used to try to check out my ex-girlfriend's well-being when we were still together but every single time she called me a p**** for doing so Of course what you said is true but not every woman is going to perceive it like that And you are right nowadays any tiny thing is considered a red flag now. I know people who will break up with somebody if the…

It's not just a red pill it's also some past relationships I'm a black dude in the hood and I am trying to escape some more toxic areas but I have noticed that a lot of the girls I attract are very much like the females in my family Almost every woman in my family has gone after some guy who fits the stereotypical Hood persona My mom and all 10 of my aunts on both sides have done it. And I see a lot of the same traits with this girl. Living in the hood is the perfect environment that will red pi…

As a guy you never know if your natural personality or even interest or care is going to be misconstrued into neediness. Especially with a girl like that who's essentially a party girl Believe me my first thought was to do that but I did not want to mention going back to her place because I thought that would get way too personal and I didn't want to come off as creepy or just trying to get in her pants We end up driving around and meeting her friend ended up driving around some more eventually …

Also you got to look at the women are trying to get in real life As someone who's dated supposed 10 out of 10 gorgeous women I have quickly found that because they are gorgeous they never had to work on any other skill or personality trait Don't get me wrong my last girlfriend treating me way better than my other ones but the girl had no interest outside of celebrities I don't want to come home to someone or just wants to be entertained all the time. No I did not but ever since I've been looking for a vice various sources online from both sides of the debate and pretty much stated this Focus on your life and be successful and do all of the things and then women will come as a byproduct But you got to do it authentically and that's why I am very skeptical of this type of thing I come from the hood and I went from zero to hero once I started putting in about 2 years of hard work especially after I graduated high school. I've met tons of open-minded people in the queer community and I have tons of friends in the queer community I am straight however and that is the problem. I low gender rolls because so much of them are so fleeting Masculinity is a performance. Full stop. And when you know that and can actually be good at playing the performance it starts to feel fake and it doesn't make you feel good and it definitely doesn't make it feel good knowing that if you are good at the performance it somehow makes you…

You can cope but it still does not make it fun for enjoyable especially knowing that you will be looked at differently and judged on the basis of your gender I I'm a very sensitive man and very empathetic but my body is the polar opposite as I am 6 ft 6 muscular and Black That has worked for me and against me so many times when it comes to dating but it does not make me feel better because a lot of girls will look at you with their own preconceived notions and when you tell them that they're wro…

I wasn't acting super macho. You can be in a very nice place and be happy without being macho and I always argue that's probably why I did not get dates because girls are still very much attracted to things that are considered stereotypically masculine even though our society says it shouldn't matter It sounds nice to think that if the macho front is dropped that it'll make it easier but that has not happened to me at all And it wasn't a facade either. I was genuinely happy and genuinely doing m…

Maybe 20 or 30 years ago but all the women in my family and friends that were female absolutely hated guys like this and you can bet that they made sure all of us mails around them do it so I do not understand what you're talking about Men who do all of that are seen as man whores as well. A lot of early feminists whether the equivalent of highly privileged suburban white women who realize that if they were to become equal to men they would learn that they will have to sign up for selective service which was not a privilege for a lot of men especially poor ones Do you think a lot of women back in the 1700s or 1800s really wanted to be equal to most men which was poor men who most likely worked horrible jobs or died at war

When I say the middle I say that as I completely understand where both sides get their fuel from because this comes from a place of not only hurt but misunderstanding It's easy to say that men act like XY and z just because they're made like that It's easy to say that women act like XY and z just because they're made like that But that right there is where we start lacking the empathy in nuance Just as you have a bunch of women who may play the part at being the pretty damsel does not mean that …

I agree completely but you can see how this too generous because young men don't get that Mercy They're just evil and misogynist. Which I believe makes it hard as a man because I still think those distinctions or subconsciously made whether or not we know them to be true and I'm guilty of it For example I'm a super big and tall man and usually because of those things people offer me respect very quickly but when I reveal traits that may not live up to what they believe, I start noticing a lack of respect and empathy that I had before This is happening too as I have completely turned off a girl by mentioning to her that I'm…

Once you get past the snarkiness of women and the bravado of men you realize that dating is just like everything else There are more things you can do wrong than right and even if you are good on paper you can still "lose" Like I dated a girl who thought it appropriate to s*** inside of Pringles can I did it a girl who was super abusive to other men I dated the girl who immediately wanted to get married and have a baby, even though we only dated for 3onths These are not things that are rule outs…

I agree with this. And it depends on what we're talking about. Murder rape thievery and wine have always been universally a bad thing to do cross cultures with few exceptions But what all those things mean and how severe and what punishments we give is very different in our modern age

Honestly I doubt our forefathers even thought of it like this Don't get me wrong I see what you're saying but I imagine a thousand years ago if you had a man who was a soldier or a farmer and a woman who was a gatherer, they probably didn't think of it in terms as Independence or needing to provide.
