FGM was officially made illegal in Ireland in March 2012.

Assuming MGM is legal there, someone needs to challenge this on the basis of discrimination & go back to the drawing board and draft a fair law.

I don't know that this is the proper comparison to make here. While I don't agree with any form of circumcision it has a much more drastic effect on a woman than a man. Plus male circumcision isn't considered genital mutilation. While it technically is, 99% of the world doesn't see it that way. So for you to make the leap that they are not addressing MGM and making it illegal you would have to change the minds of pretty much everybody in the western world. Hell, maybe only America. I don't know what the views on male circumcision are anywhere else but America and over here it is a common practice.
