That's the 1983 Update and not the original 1975 Release.

It does give prominence to the role of "Prisoners Against Rape Inc", but I have noted that there are too many white women in the footage with the prisoners.

Odd that - given that the three women who first dealt with the whole issue of contact with "Prisoners Against Rape Inc" were Loretta Ross, Yulanda Ward and Nkenge Toure.

I find Lorreta Ross' comments about events laced with irony and clarity as to the ongoing racism and bias that has been at the heart of Rape Culture since the term was created in 1974/5 - and it's summed up when she says:

"And then — oh, I’ve forgotten to tell you about Prisoners Against Rape. One of the more interesting things that happened when I was at the Rape Crisis Center is that we got contacted by a group of black men who were prisoners at Lorton Reformatory." Loretta Ross, interviewed by Joyce Follet TAPE 8 of 23 Ross F 7_10 9 05 Page 124 of 360

Then of course you have the "Coup de grâce" when she says:

"And for the most part, people respected the rules and the guidelines. Now where it got complicated was when some of the white women started going to the prison, and then they were the ones that started breaking the rules about smuggling things to the guys and stuff. Harmless stuff. Tennis shoes or whatever stuff like that, but William had to kick a couple of guys out of the group because they had started relationships with women who had come down there through the Rape Crisis Center. Unfortunately, they were all white, the women were. And, so that was hard to manage and just — how come she was a lesbian until she met him? (laughs) you know, kind of cynical stuff was happening. But I did enjoy dealing with Prisoners Against Rape."

It gives the hashtag of #SolidarityIsForWhiteWomen not only a new perspective but a while new Historical Flavour. I keep wondering why the Women Of Colour are so under represented in the Rape Culture meme?

Could it be that the WOC don't buy the White Feminist Damselling Privilege?

Yes Quite - It seems for once there is some accuracy in a Wikipedia Biography of a Living Person. It's almost as if the Cadre of Adoring Sycophantic Feminist Editors who protected his profile as religious devotion..... they dropped their idolatry once he admitted himself that he is a fraud and predatory abuser.

I suspect some hoped his Wikipedia page was deleted as irrelevant. Calls for his deletion were made and it was decided that the Big Schwyzerpath was not notable and should be deleted ..... but then the truth came out and #SolidarityIsForWhiteWomen Arrived. Now he has a place in history for his Rapism Ways, Murdering Ambiguity, Fraud, Sexism, Narcissism and Racism!

I have to wonder if he believes that multiple isms make him look attractive to others? It's almost as if the deletion of Schwyzer Wickey was too much and he had to "up the ante" to retain a public profile.

What? "The Good (Four Legs Good, Two Legs Bad!) Rape Project" - why on earth would anyone want to talk about reality there?

Are you making reference to Soraya Chemaly and her exit from the Good Rape Project after she was caught and challenged over her (Pious) Fraud and Bad Faith content/responses?

Chemaly was as caught in the headlights of reality as Naimo Wolf being challenged by Girl Writes What - there was just no video footage. Chemaly of course ran away and has been unwilling to deal with reality ever since being publicly spanked for her childish errors.

It's bad enough that the "Good Rape Project" hates men and claims to listen whilst being institutionally deaf, but they also have the irredeemable stench of the Schwyzerpath all over. It was all down hill when he jumped ship and the employees of The Good Rape Project lacked the capacity to see what was going on and failed to react and protect their own product.... even when receiving Pro advice on how to deal with aberrations such as The Schwyzeropathy that had infected so many.

If it wan't for the servers being prepaid for 10 years in advance they would have been put out of everyone's misery long ago.

This wasn't random people or entertainers, these are people involved in college politics.

You're kidding right? Celebrities or entertainers are a bigger deal than college kids playing at politics.

If we want to disagree with the feminists that this is normal, lets not argue that its it normal.

It's normal for us to ignore it if it's women engaging fantasies of rape and sexual mutilation targeted at men.

So we either start saying "meh" to men who do the same or we start expecting the same level of respect for men's sexuality from women as we expect from men.

Also no one is arguing that it's normal to not expect sexual respect for women from men; we're arguing it's normal not to expect sexual respect for men from women.

Some people think we should change it so that we care less about respecting women or care more about respecting men or a bit in column A and a bit in column B.

Just so long as there isn't a double standard.

By your logic we also have a birthday culture or "Happy Birthday" would not manifest.

We also have a Love culture, or love would not manifest. We also have a video game culture, or video games would not manifest. That's ludicrous. The fact of the matter is that we don't have a murder culture: Murder is a rare cause of death. Rape is also rare, and neither rape nor murder pervades culture in reality despite the fascination some have with it -- This is not 'perverse' fascination because it's normal: We owe all our achievements as a species to our propensity to fascinate on and investigate odd and rare occurrences. If you ignore this, you are ignorant by definition.

You've been playing with words like a moron with a gun, and you've just shot your head clean off revealing the idiot inside. You can't seem to grasp the different between a culture with a fascination of violence, and having a culture of violence. To conflate the two makes you sound ridiculous.

If we have a birthday culture, then by this logic we have an $ANYTHING culture, and the term has lost all meaning. So, rape culture or murder culture would be as equivalently descriptive as $ANYTHING culture -- that is to say, a useless qualifier. Stop conflating parts of culture with culture itself. Subculture is a real word. Fucking use it.

The usage of the term Rape Culture comes along with the allegation that it is a dominant force pervading nearly every facet of the culture people live in. The same goes for Culture of Violence. Do we live in a Star Trek Culture? We have songs, traditions, movies, gatherings about Star Trek. Do we live in a Santa Claus Culture where songs, traditions, cookies for St. Nick dominate our daily lives? No, neither the terms Star Trek Culture nor Santa Claus Culture are representative of a broad portion of culture as compared to the whole, and neither is Birthday Culture, nor Rape Culture, nor Murder Culture.

The terms 'murder culture' and 'rape culture' and 'birthday culture' are not being used in a vacuum, you nitwit. The context of the usage of these terms is in the inflation of the qualifier's prevalence as for them to be a serious concern in the greater culture -- otherwise why would anyone be too frightened to speak on them? So, the context of your statement about "birthday culture" is not just that there are cultural elements of birthdays; The implication would be that birthdays are a strong and pervasive force shaping nearly every facet of society. If this is not the case with your usage of murder culture or feminist's usage of rape culture then what the fuck is the point of being concerned over them? There would be none, hence we wouldn't be discussing it. See?

We do not have a birthday culture. A subset of culture pertains to birthdays but we do not live in a culture heavily influenced by birthdays (consumerism is a different story). The significance of a qualifier and the context of discourse does matter in English. If you spent half the time you do butchering discourse to actually think about what it is you are writing you'd stand a far better chance of useful communication.

P.S. Identity Politics: Present an action, situation or traits as representative of a group identity in order to artificially inflate the prevalence of the claimed attributes and shame, silence, call into action, or otherwise influence those who identify with or are offended by the group identity you've constructed. That's what Rape Culture does. That's what claims of Murder Culture does. That's what damn near all of the feminist and social justice bullshit does. It is pseudo-intellectual political rhetoric hogwash.
