I think she is biased to have said that but bwcause she went through such a traumatic experience she cant see how anyone would lie. Thats most likely how she arrived at the idea. Sadly...people will lie about anything if it suits their needs..much like the girl in your story

People lie. Some say it's a sign of intelligence, I think it just makes you an asshole out for your own gain, regardless of how you can affect others, so fuck her and fuck anyone who lies about being raped.

I was over in r/relationships the other day and I came across a user (who was a victim of rape) who claimed that "nobody lies about something as bad as being raped". I believe this user is biased and making it easier for people to get away with false rape allegations.

Your personal experiences are irrelevant. Women do indeed lie about it. It has been demonstrated over and over in the public record. I do not even understand how one could dispute this.

The rate of false accusations is disputed of course because 1. it is hard to measure and 2. you are not even allowed to measure it without feminists shrieking. The rate is in some sense also irrelevant because as long as it isn't zero, dropping the legal rights of men is not defensible.

Okay first of all, not all women who report rape are telling the truth. That is true. Women are human beings and unfortunately there are some liars out there.

However, the belief that false rape accusations are common fuels victim blaming. We still live in a society where the credibility of rape victims is regularly invalidated. Our culture always questions the victims credibility first, like you just did- What did she drink? Does she get with many guys? What was she wearing? Had she had sex with him before? Did she put up a fight? These things are immediately brought up in attempts to discredit the rape. Do you hear people talk about the rapists sexual habits?

I understand that lying about rape can ruin the life of the person accused. Men should definitely not be considered guilty until proven innocent when accused of rape. But something like 95% of accused rapists never go to jail (sorry I don't know the exact number, but it's around that). So is the fact that some women lie about rape really the most pressing issue? Overemphasizing the fact that some women accuse men of rape hurts the credibility of the greater number of women that report rape because it happened to them.

Even if, for example, 5% of rape accusations were false (it's around that), it would still be far too small to use to discount rape allegations. That small percentage is inflated anyway because more than half of rape cases aren't even reported. Rape is an extremely underreported crime because reporting it is extremely exposing and risky. Rape victims go through absolute hell.

P.S. It doesn't matter if she showed signs of struggle or if she was drugged. If she said no, it was rape.
