After hearing about all of these women being raped in India, and when they go to the police, they get raped by the freakin' police, it makes me think that RadFems might actually be useful in that country.

RadFems wouldn't be helpful, but actual human rights activists would. RadFems are too busy demonizing the male sex out of hand to actually have any measurable beneficial effect.

To counter circumstances like those described in India, activism would have to center around addressing the problem and its direct causes (such as character standards in hiring for law enforcement, what conditions exist in these departments which are facilitating such abuses, how widespread or limited the problem is, and whether such abuse is limited to women, or happening to both sexes) rather than trying to make up some underlying issue which can be universally applied to an entire gender to promote political power for the movement. RadFems will not do that. Human rights activists would.

Yeah, I think a lot of the time our perception of the feminist movements is somewhat biased because we live in western society. A good example is the pictures and videos of those three naked women protesting Sharia and Islam. (I'm not condoning FEMEN, and in fact I can't stand the thought of anyone even thinking "SEXTREMISM" is a good idea); Here in America, its easy to see them as man-hating bigots (and I would argue that FEMEN is)

but over in places that aren't Europe or America, I would also argue that Feminism is definitely needed. Islamic countries, India, Russia, and others all treat their women like shit.

While I don't agree with FEMEN's images, if they can balls to the wall with their approach to liberation and civil rights, and not fear retaliation, then even someone who is too afraid to stand up like that can still feel confident enough to make changes in their own lives.

And that's also a very valid point, we only see how the women are treated, so we can only wonder how the men are treated as well. And I would also have to say that if the women are being raped like that, then I'm assuming everyone is having a bad time over there.

No, they are not. RadFems simply change one type of discrimination for another.
