I'm doing a paper on sexism for school - Where can I find the previously mentioned states where it's not possible for women to rape men?

This seems to be the definition in Georgia:

16-6-1 GCA ß 26-2001: Rape " (a) A person commits the offense of rape when he has carnal knowledge of: (1) A female forcibly and against her will

It goes on to say this:

Carnal knowledge in rape occurs when there is any penetration of the female sex organ by the male sex organ.

So, not only can a man not be raped, a woman can never rape another woman.

Florida:

(h) "Sexual battery" means oral, anal, or vaginal penetration by, or union with, the sexual organ of another or the anal or vaginal penetration of another by any other object

This doesn't seem to include envelopment, so it really still limits the victim to women.

I imagine very few states allow for women to rape men.

I don't know of one handy source for each state. I do know that some discussion came up on men's rights websites when the FBI revised their organization's definition of rape.

FBI Defintion: "Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim." (http://www.good.is/posts/the-fbi-expands-its-definition-of-rape-will-we-take-it-seriously-now/)

The change in definition was good for men in that it says that men penetrated can be rape victims (which the old definition did not say).

The problem is that a woman forcing herself on a man for vaginal sex is not penetrating him. This is "rape by envelopment" and is not included in the new definition. That is the sexism.

Feminists (and many everyday women and men) may suggest that since the man got an erection it wasn't rape. That is a fallacious argument. Erections are only physiological responses. Men get erections from having to urinate, back injuries, and "morning wood". Furthermore, a sexual response is not the same thing as wanting sex. A man might start getting an erection if he notices his best friend's attractive wife sitting across from him is not wearing panties. However, the thought of betraying his friend might abhor him and he quickly looks away or puts the thought out of his head.

For more evidence on physiological responses versus what we want, we can look at female rape victims. Female victims often become aroused and it is not unusual for them to orgasm. This does not mean these women were not raped or that they enjoyed it. It only means they had a physiological response.

Finally, some people might throw in the "men are bigger" argument. That argument is not useless but is certainly overplayed. No one would suggest that women are not allowed to claim a man raped them if she is of equal or greater size.

England, Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. Scotland's the most disturbing, since their current law was made only three years ago.

Supposedly, a woman can still be charged under common law. But I have no idea what's involved in that.
