Because we're not campaigners.

That's literally it. Large campaigns, like what you're thinking of, are complicated, expensive systems. Most of us aren't in a position to start one, let alone help on one.

Besides, as long as we can talk about the issues with people we know, we're still helping out just as much as campaigning would.

Just a tip, don't start with "I'm a woman, listen to me!" as it's a pretty obvious sign of troll bait in this subreddit.

And as others have said, campaigns are expensive and only work for the PC, now if you could somehow convince a politician that he could get elected by raising awareness of things like this then there would be campaigns, but until then it won't happen.

The last prostate cancer thing I saw was featuring Optimus Prime, it was on an episode of Robot Chicken.

Why aren't there more awareness campaigns for things like male rape and domestic abuse? I see a lot of campaigns about women's issues. Abuse, rape, depression, etc. But I rarely see campaigns on this front for men.

The government sanctions organizations for women. They have powerful lobbying groups aimed at congress, federal funding for states, and federal funding in academia. This doesn't even count private funding [of which women are all to eager to band together on women's issues.]

The main reason you don't see it is billions of dollars.

Hello Iteria. I'm not sure why your post has been downvoted, because I think you ask some excellent questions, and that you're legitimately interested in our cause. I'm glad you take rape against men seriously, because so few people do.

Let me start off by saying that most of us don't complain about the fact that women get psychiatric help and shelters. What we do complain about, is the fact that men don't.

Regarding awareness campaigns, there are already plenty of campaigns up and running by various organizations. Our primary aim is to change the message of those that already exist out there. Most campaigns concentrated on domestic abuse and rape, are not explicitly stated as women-only. We have had some success changing some of these campaign efforts, by writing letters and stirring up a stink in the blogosphere. The apparatus for dealing with people who are treated unfairly, and who are victims of oppression is already in place. It therefore seems more logical to expand that apparatus, than it is to create a new one.

As for the prostate cancer awareness campaign, there is an ongoing one right now which is our latest and greatest success as a movement. It's called movember, and people all around the world are currently growing a moustache, and have opened charity website accounts that will keep the money flowing in for this good cause. Of course you're right, prostate cancer receives far less donations and awareness than breast cancer does, but I'm confident that it will improve in time. It doesn't matter that much, though. What matters is, that we need more focus on men's health in general.

Mostly, though, we're still somewhere in the awareness stage. While people are beginning to wake up to the fact that men are oppressed by the system too, our best bet is to just be out there and make noise about it. Spread the message.

Because women's causes get funding, men's causes get mocked, ignored and trivialised. Attempts at raising awareness are met with baseless accusations of hate-mongering and misogyny by radical feminists.

I don't appreciate the number of downvotes you received for offering honest criticism.

I personally have always been frustrated by many MRAs being unwilling to take action and work together about things. I think social stigmas affect this. Men are afraid to come out and say "Hey, I think things are kinda loopy for men out here, and I want to change it". If they didn't have careers and family and relationships to worry about, they'd probably be much bigger on taking an active role in their activism.

Money. It's pretty simple, there is no money in it as compared to the vast swaths of wealth found in the Feminist movement and women's issues groups (health, abuse, etc.)
