i watched the clips from the show where this happened, cameron was on to raise awareness of a dementia charity and the hosts of the show ( phil being famous for presenting childrens tv from a broom closet with a gopher pupper and holly who also was a kids tv host famous for getting her tits out in lads mags and wearing a french maids outfit in her alter ego of polly with the trolly ) admitted that they got this info in 3 minutes online ( amazing they only took the names of the tory ones, not the liberal or labour ones ) , put these to him with no warning and let the camera see it , some of the names are ministers thought to be gay and this as cameron obviously linked, would kick up the idea that gay men are all peadophiles, as one woman on the mail website said " of course gay men can be peadophiles, how else do you explain sexually abused boys" . Cameron was spot on with his handling of it .

Funny thing, here in the US gay people are not allowed as leaders in the Boy Scouts. The organization has stated that even though they disagree with the life style it has nothing to do with fear of abuse or sexual molestation of children. Being gay and being a pedophile are not connected in any way.

He has a very powerful point and I'm glad he's being calm and level headed about this at a time and in a culture where most people become heartless lunatics at the mention of the word pedophile.

Also, Phillip Schofield is a fucking idiot who doesn't seem to appreciate the seriousness of the situation and what he did.

Interesting question:

Why is it whenever a man assaults a boy it's the generic "pedophile" not "gay pedophile"?

You will never, EVER, see the word homosexual or gay next to the word "pedophile", even when it's entirely appropriate. Why is this?

My theory is that gays/trans/BBQROFLCOPTER is heavily protected by the media, sometimes to the point that it doesn't even make sense. As such, I think said "fears" are overstated. They're extremely well-protected for better or worse.
