I really don't understand any of this nonsense. Imagine if I leave my car in a dark street with the keys in the ignition with the doors open over night in a 'bad' part of town. I come back in the morning and it's gone, it's been stolen. I go to my insurance company and try to claim, they would laugh in my face if I told them what I'd done - there's no way they would give me a penny. Are they 'theft apologists' because they believe that I bear some responsibility for what happened?

The 'Rape apologist' claim is merely a method used by some feminists for shutting down any rational debate about personal responsibility when logic or reason threaten them.

In reality, of course not. If you condoned rape in any way, you wouldn't bother advising her against behavior that might put her at greater risk for it, now would you?

I don't wish bad things on people who get drunk, but getting drunk tends to lead to things like crashing ones car and having sex with people one might not have had interest in while sober. I don't believe in fostering a false sense of security in people who get drunk by sweeping their responsibility under the rug just because the person is female and a man touched them. How can we expect people to grow the fuck up and drunk responsibly if we keep labeling them victims of other people entirely, and never their own poor judgement?

I didn't watch that whole video, only the first few minutes, but I don't see why acting like a drunken asshole could "get you raped." Those men took care to talk to her friends and arrange a meetup with them, I guess I just assume most men are like that and not rapists...

Define "rape apologist".

It's simply a fact that her behavior (being drink and therefore flaunting her vulnerability) opens her up to rape in the same way that flaunting your wealth in public increases your chance of getting mugged.

If someone has a problem with telling people they're putting themselves in danger, that's their intellectual shortcoming.
