It's pretty difficult not play 'oppression olympics' when there's a movement that has turned gender-nonspecific human failings into a way of vilifying men.

The idea that men are unilaterally responsible for domestic violence, rape and child abuse is an aspect of men's victimhood in our society.

Women have been pulling this shit for 50 years and look where its gotten us.

Men need time to take in all thats happened, get depressed, drunk, then get mad and complain without judgement, change mindsets and laws, counter the propaganda and indoctrination, then the healing and recovery can begin.

You expect us to act like nothing has happened? Fuck you. You obviously have never been through a bitter divorce and/or custody battle.

Women need to understand what men are truly capable of (take a look at history), then review what women have truly done to men the past 50 years, then act accordingly.

We are patient, understanding, and forgiving, but we will not be scapegoats and doormats any longer no matter what the system says. We will simply walk away regardless of court orders or some bastardized social contract or construct assumed... and if you back us into any more corners, heaven help you. Their chivalrous white knight proxies of violence numbers are decreasing fast.

"oppression Olympics" is a term feminists use whenever men raise men's issues, in order to stop them from talking. It's a form of shaming tactic.

They don't want men's issues even acknowledged, because it raises questions about their belief that women, and only women, are "oppressed" in a society they call "patriarchy"; it challenges the validity of their simplistic and innacurate assumption that men are the oppressors, and women are the victims; Hence they like to parrot "Misandry doesn't real".

Men's issues don't need to "compete" with women's issues. They have legitimacy on their own. It's not a question of one or the other.

Therefore there is no oppression Olympics.

I think the problem for the most part is that we in the west tend to be indoctrinated from a very young age to believe that ONLY women are oppressed and thus men simply can't be. In many ways its similar to people raised into devoutly religious communities. Because these beliefs have always been a part of their lives they have become almost a part of their identity. I think that is why people react so furiously, sometimes violently, when feminism is criticized or even questioned. To them it is as if you have questioned their validity as a person. In a sense, that's why they choose to ignore you, because its easier than accepting that their most core beliefs could be wrong.
