I wouldn't worry about it. This is what amounts to academic trash. The idea that you can make assertions about biological processes that anatomy and medical experts don't make because some guys hundreds of years ago lived longer without their dick (in a day and age where dieing by the sword was still a common way for men to go) is silly. Trash research is trash.

Why do men tend to die younger than women? Maybe it's because men tend to live unhealthier lives and are more often the victims of violent assault and homicide than women, or perhaps it is because women receive a great deal more funding put towards keeping them healthy? What's the solution? Support groups for men? Encouraging men to be more healthy? Gasp! What about the radical notion of stopping violence against men and condemning attitudes of complacency towards male victims of violence? No, of course not! The obvious answer is to castrate them! It's certainly the most appealing solution to feminists, I'm sure. Wouldn't want to divert any of those precious resources from helping women to helping men, right? And hey, a man can't rape if he doesn't have a good ol' rape stick, amirite?

If ever there was an appropriate time to use the idiom "cutting off your nose to spite your face", this would be it. I would rather die a few years earlier (either way being old and grey) than lead a sexless live just to prolong the inevitable.

It worries me a little, because you know that misandric feminists worldwide will push for it and try to convince men to do it. "Go on" they'll say, "it'll help you live longer".

I know that some here will think that this will lead to a lot more men waking up and start actually standing up for themselves but I worry about those guys who will actually do it because they consider themselves "progressive".

Who cares about mens' health or what would extend their life expectancy?

On the other hand....

If they showed that castration of men benefited womens' health.... I'd start looking for a kevlar jock strap..

Maybe that's what the Mormons have in mind with their magic underwear?
