The male student was found guilty of sexual assault based on nothing more than a mere possibility that the accuser did not consent.

It was nothing but a crime for (possibly) not mind reading. Consent should be based on what she does, something that reasonable people can agree on. It should not be based on whether or not he can read her mind.

Isn't there always a possibility that person x recently experienced a horrible trauma and is in such an absent state that he/she along with everything, including unwanted sex? I guess we should never have sex.

One more reason I'm glad I didn't get involved in greek gife or ASUA stuff when I was at UofA. So much bullshit in both organizations, and its not the first (but probably the worst I've heard) scandal involving those two groups. This is also a perfect example of why I find code of conduct policies at public institutions so flawed. There is nothing banned in the code of conduct that isn't already illegal, and yet issues like this are forced to be settled outside of judicial over view.

thats funny.... women were trying to make it seem like it was a silly accident when some girl had sex with her sleeping boyfreind and he woke up and like was like wtf?...

but thats not rape becuase its a women doing it.... that could happen to anybody no big deal right girls?
