"Out Of Fear"? Feminist art sure is preachy, ain't it?

But here is a rather good example I like to use to point-out feminist hypocrisy in art.

First, I want you to think of every possible feminist accusation of "objectification" you can think of. Which is to say: of female bodies being treated as objects rather than the bodies of human beings. Or of women being reduced to their genitals.

Now... one of the great pioneering works of critically-acclaimed feminist art from the '70s was entitled "The Dinner Party" by Judy Chicago.

It consists of a collection of dinner plates featuring stylized vaginas which have been set-up at a triangular table, framed by forks and knives. Each one is supposed to represent a famous (or mythical) woman from history.

What is this, if not a symbolic reduction of high-achieving women down to their sexual organs, as if their sexual organs are the most important thing about them? How is this great work of feminist art not objectification, which is the self-same accusation that feminists love to brandish against men who are said to behold women as a collection of sexual body parts?

I love and respect people, it doesn't matter their gender. We should be focusing on HUMAN rights.

Every day across the USA women’s freedoms are being removed and threatened. There are new laws being drafted and written by legislators and lobbyists alike meant to legalize discrimination and restrict human rights – this cannot stand.

Utter Rubbish, and anyone with a brain should know that! This is why I despise, and I do mean literally despise this political BS by the far left/feminism that distract/hijack the issue of soldiers coming home in body bags.

Believe it or not folks, there are actually real life feminists out there who are pro-lifers. And, it is constitutional to regulate abortion and birth control according to Roe vs. Wade as well.

PS. I'm pro-choice, I'm just not pro-stupid

This is not art.

Wait, don't go just yet, let me explain.

Art can be a very powerful tool to explore, examine and critique social phenomena. Often these phenomena are hard to critique or explain in other ways.

But art as critique goes both ways. It supports and celebrates the good, but it shouldn't be ashamed or afraid to show the ugly, stupid and dangerous parts of what it dissects either.

If it only shows one side of the story, it's propaganda not art.

So why is she making men the enemy? Shouldn't she make pictures about how legislators and lobbyists are making these laws? This project clearly shows that what she is creating is not about equality, but rather showing a cold display of the victimisation of women.

This is exploitation. Sex sells and you can use women's issues and 'art' to disguise it. Breast Cancer 'awareness' fundraising does the exact same thing.
