Yes. I believe it was in California a woman sued her ex-bf for CS who was not the children's father. Pretty sure she won the case which set the precedent. I think the reason that he was on the hook was because he acted in a fatherly capacity to her kid(s), buying toys and food and whatnot.

YES. The requirements to prove fatherly role are very low and the (usually) mother can continue to collect from the bio-father and the step-father.

I know this because I'm paying. The judge's standard was "did you buy presents for them together or separately"

Edit: I was married for a whole 14 months of living hell.

Being that she is divorced, I would think that she would already be getting child support. I can't see her getting to double up on her exploitation of children. It also depends on the state. Some require men that played a "fatherly role" to take on te responsibility but I think that it would be hard to argue in court unless he's been there for a long time.

yes. according to some judgements, whomever the child perceives as the father or father-figure can be forced to pay child support if he decides to leave. of course, this will happen if the ex-girlfriend is douche-bag enough to bring this before a douche-bag judge.
