Men's Rights, can I hear your personal day-to-day experiences of being discriminated as a male?

Sure. I am expected to work later into the night unlike my female coworkers because apparently I am not unsafe when I travel late.

I have my girlfriend talk to bureaucrats and other officials on my behalf because they are more attentive to and more accommodating of women.

I am considered "responsible" for the safety of any women accompanying me.

I didn't find a single person willing to empathize with me, male or female, when I was in a severe clinical depression, while I, and other men, are often expected to hear women out (including my own mother) when they complain about trivial things that bother them. I've been doing that for my own mother since I was something like 4 years old. She didn't reciprocate it when I tried to talk to her about me developing a depression.

I was physically bullied. Not just mean comments or whatever, but actual physical fights with others when I wasn't physically any more formidable than the average Western woman. And everyone had the attitude of "oh that's part of growing up as a boy". To this day a lot of people openly think less of me and joke about it because I changed schools to get away from that.

And a lot of this behaviour doesn't just come from other men. Women have similar attitudes.

This is everyday stuff. Thankfully, I haven't been put through any big legal situations so I haven't much to complain about there, yet. I'm sure I would come up with more stuff if that actually happens.

I am discriminated against because of my gender all the time, just like women are, but I'm not going to bitch about it too much because I'm not willing to become a victim of my own circumstances.

That said, I recognize that men don't have much of a voice these days, and that's why I come here from time to time.

I've love getting looks from people for spacing out while looking in the general direction of some kid on the bus. my tranguy friend just discovered this, he didn't have to worry about smiling at kids when he was a she, but the first time a perent move their kid to back of the bus after he did it. He knew why i do what i do.
