I have heard many men say they would not seek a paternity test because even if they found out some child they raised was not theirs, they would continue being the father. They feel the bond is stronger than that of blood. While it is viewed as as respectable thing to do, is it unfair to the child? They have been duped by their mother, but now someone else is interferring with their chance at knowing their real dad. Is it safe to say that they need the child, more than the child needs them?
